An excellent expansion pack for people who own only The Sims. It has a Very addictive playing style. The only thing that slightly disappointed me about this game is that it really us not much different from the original. I say if you want, make a jump from the original to House Party.

The Best Game in the Whole World!!

This game is perfect if you like the sims. There's alot of new things like a vibromatics where your sims can get a little freaky in the bed. The only thing that I do not like is the fact that there's roaches and aliens but other that that it's perfect

Larger than Expected

This was GREAT!! I loved all the new furniture and decorating styles. I also enjoyed all the new things that happened. Especially the alien abductions. Maxis gave it its all on this game. Though ares freezes unless you have a good computer. But its still worth every cent!!:}

The Sims didn't have engough. House Party was boring after 5 parties. Vacation was... useless. But Livin' Large has items I still use today! Now when your Sims die, you can plead to the Grim Reaper to keep them alive! There are potions that can make you fall in love, and genies that can set your house on FIRE! Make gnomes and launch rockets. Buy this game. It's worth every penny.

A Expansion Pack Way Out of this world!

The Sims was a game very rare to find. I looked in 7 stores until I found it. Until I heard about a review on all about this I figured out more info. This "Expansion Pack" is no expansion..its more to be called Sims 2. Full of new ocuppations,skins,secrets, and more! This game will have to be a harder hunt to find. Its a game suddenly full of reviews and gossip. A sure to be best game of the year. I strongly recomend getting this before it comes out. I also recommend getting The Sims NOW if you dont have it. The people that want the expansion will need sims in order to play the game. The pack will be just like Harvest Moon64. A rare game to find too. So go find what you need and pre-order it cause this is gonna be a hunt of a lifetime!

Dont buy this, demand respect as a game consumer!

once, there wasa game called the sims, this game was great, and one of the key features was how easy the company, maxis, made it to make user made objects, skins, walls etc... it was fun. many people loved it and put many hours into it, they made it their very own creation. then comes a expansion pack, sounds good? wrong. If you downloaded any user made objects it simply wont work, its like the quake expansion packs not working if you have a mod installed. the only way to fix this problem is by unistalling the orignal version of the sims, i put MANY hours inbto perfecting the houses and characters in this, and the only way to get my $30 expansion pack to work is by unistalling my current houses that i put a lot of work into. if a company wants to make a game mod freindly, then the official products should work with these modsa installed, this shows me that this product was rushed, and that maxis really doesnt care about the costomer, well if they dont care about their costmers, dont be their costomers until they start making quality products that are worth the money... save youreself a headache and dont buy this peice of cattle dung.

It didn't work at all...not even on a brand-new computer

When I first played The Sims, I thought it a wonderful game. I was in love with it. So when I received the expansion pack, I was ecstatic!

However, once I installed it, (which was a long process in itself and it also gave an error message) the game would not work. I would start the game, on my brand-new computer, and the game would blank out my screen, then return me to my desktop. I tried over and over, but it was useless.

I then had another problem...the riduculous people at Maxis made it so that in order to uninstall The Sims Livin' Large, you need to uninstall The Sims. This caused me to have to make backups of all my files, then have to reinstall The Sims and put my backups in the game.

All in all, though the game is fun, (I've played it at friend's houses) it is not worth the trouble. Stick to the original.
