I agree with a lot of the people when they say that you really have to pay attention to details. You have to be patient with this game in order to get through the levels. At times it will be fustrating because it seems like there is nothing else you could possibly do to get out of the level. But that's what is great about the game, it makes you think. I wouldn't want to play a game where all the answers are right in front of me. It's no fun. And the castle is so much fun to explore. There are so many "secret" passage ways in which you will need to use your "aquired" spells to open up treasure chests. Quidditch can be a little dificult to control, but maybe that's because this is the first Harry Potter game I've played. Once you get your broom from Madam Hooche then you get to fly around the castle and find even more treasure chests on top of the castle. I did lose a lot of house points trying to do things for Hermione. But you get the hang of avoiding the prefects. It's a great game for those of you who like to figure things out. Buy it! I loved the game!
Best yet in the line of rolegames from Harry Potter

I found this game to be the best of the 3 existing roleplaying games.
The graphic's have improved from the 1st game and allthough in the 3rd Game < Prisoner of Azkaban> the Graphics are even better this 2nd game was more challenging.
There is plus and minus to every game. The broom stick controls can be a little difficult but after some practice one gets used to it. I liked how the spells have advanced giving them more power but be careful not to hold down the buttons for to long or else you hurt yourself. Trading beans for items in Fred and George's hidden wizard shop is nice but can get annoying specially when you always have to collect beans. Allthough the 200 bean bag is a huge advantage it still is annoying to collect beans over and over again after one went on a little spending spree. Hint you will not receive the 200 count bean bag until you helped all the students on the grounds < not the notice board>. Some of the items on the notice board/ and from the students are easier to find then others.
Some of the challenges are harder then others as well, I found the kill Aragog challenge to be a bit of a joke but almost threw the controller at the TV after being hit so many times by a jumping book case in the skurge spell challenge < forbidden Library section> < and yes you can laugh at that find out for yourself how hard it can be to defend yourself against flying books>.
There is alot more to explore in this game then in the 1st one and even the 3rd game doesn't have that much stuff to find. Take your time and fly around the grounds on your broom < after you catch the snitch in a training game> . Talk to students and even trade Wizard cards < which you will collect along the game so make sure to open all treasure chests as soon you have the matching spells and keys>
Being caught by prefects at night will cost your house points so be careful. There is quite a few hidden passages you can take to avoid that. In general the game is the same as the book/ movie. It's only a few times that the story is changed to fit the game.
There is a whole lot of minigames in this game costing 5- and up beans per round.
In all this game was like I said before better then the 1st one, I however found that killing the Basilisk at the end of the game was a little to easy. I still recommend this game if you like the other Harry Potter games I am sure you will like this one as well!!
Good but Easy!

This game is harder than the 1st.But I beat it anyway.(Hint: about in the middle of the game go out to the castle gronds and talk to some people who will tell you they have lost something. If you find it they will give you Griffonder House points.) The willow tree is actually too hard. I lost to it once. I can't believe that Gilderoy Lockheart made you miss the Hogwarts Express. Hermione and Ron tells you to go do too many stuff. I mean, I almost lost all my house points trying to run from the people who were on duty at night. But I got lucky because somebody was as blind as a bat. I hate those ghost in the Grand Staircase. If they hit you they make you lose every flavored beans. But one thing I really hate is going back to the Forbbiden Forest. It took me about an hour and a half to get out of there! Eer... anyway this game is the perfect one for me and if it is for you buy it now!
PS.Please buy this game so you can know how fun and dangerous it is!

TWICE I have attempted to order this PS2 game from www.Amazon.com through ToysRus. It is listed in the PS2 game category but when order comes back to buyer states it is a CD-ROM game. I reported this to www.Amazon.com and they stated the problem would be fixed IMMEDIATELY. Obviously, the problem has not been fixed as yet. Ensure that when you order this PS2 game, know what you are getting. When I receive my order in the mail and it IS NOT a PS2 game as advertised (and receive in error the CD-ROM game), will most certainly be returning it to www.Amazon.com for a FULL REFUND!!

It's very challenging. I love to almost kill myself and blast other people with my spells. They get mad at you. There are secret passages, and Fred and George have their own wizarding shop! I also like how people ask you to do them favors, but I don't like Diagon Alley. But my favorite thing is that you can learn new spells. And how things are so realistic.
Make sure you have a book handy

I love Harry Potter. I love the movies, the books, and the first game for the computer. This game would be great except for the amount of time it takes for it to load. Be prepared to have to wait A LOT for things to load. It's a little ridiculous. In some parts of the game, you'll walk into a room, wait for it to load, walk out of the room, wait for it to load, run down the stairs, wait for it to load. Perhaps you get the picture. It gets incredibly frustrating, making it impossible to play the game for very long at one sitting.
Otherwise, it is excellent. you get to roam the castle, find secret passages, roam the grounds. For fans of the movies/books it is a real treat.

I was extremely dissasisfied with this game (that's another way for saying it stank). First of all, the characters all look like cartoon characters, nothing like in the movie or the first game. Secondly, Harry runs like he has something stuck up his behind. What's up with that? Okay, the quidditch is pretty good, but that's the only reason I gave it one star. And then, after you beat the game, you're done. You can't go to any other levels or get any extra items. ... If you're a little kindergartener or a Harry Potter freak, you might consider playing this game. Otherwise, play Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, its a lot better.

Do you like video games then this is the right game for you. It is called Harry potter and the chamber of secrets. It's a game that goes on and on. I think you will really like it because it has better graphics then some of the other games out there!
It's a game that you should watch the movie to know what to do in the game. So you can actually beat the game. There is some things you need to know that is in the movie before you play the game. Im not saying you had to buy the movie before you play the game.
If you don't watch the movie I don't think you will beat or pass a mission on the game. They say it is a rated E for everyone but I think it is rated T for teen. This game will make you laugh. Molfoy and Harry potter fight Harry always wins but I'm not taking Molfoys side but he always wins. you want to know some thing I took the Harry potter and the chamber of secrets test on book and I never read the book I watched the movie so many times I got a hundred percent on it try it.
It has awesome graphics because when he takes out his wand it glows and when ever he does a spell it will burst like fire works when he fights with Molfoy the graphics is so cool. This is a great action game if you like those kinds of games that has all those kinds of graphics.
It's like me when I watched Harry potter and the chamber of secrets Harry is so brave in the movie he goes up against a 100 foot long snake and he kills it but he get hurt pretty bad but if I were there I would be killed eaten by that snake. I think that this would be good for kids 8 and older because it is a hard it is t for teen I think if you watched the movie a lot you will get it.
