The Dukes of Hazzard are back in action! This game brings me right back to the 11-year-old watching the Dukes of Hazzard on Saturday nights. I've played earlier Dukes games and they all left a LOT to be desired, but Ubisoft has really scored with this game! It's half on-road and half-offroad driving action with a great physics model that seamlessly switches back and forth between the two types of roads. I thought I was tired of driving games, but jumping bridges while that Dixie horn toots is one hell of a kick.
If you like the Dukes of Hazzard, this is the game for you. The story is fun, the driving is great, the stunts are better, and it's even got all of the original cast members doing their character voices! Buy this game, Dukes fans, you will NOT regret it.

The Dukes are back for another run again. I can't wait to here that Ol'General Rev up again with its v8 again for another adventure. Here is the details on The Dukes next adventure:
Set in Hazzard County, players step into the shoes of Bo and Luke Duke as they race to win prize money in order to save the local orphanage from Boss Hogg's latest crooked scheme. With the help of the ever-popular Daisy Duke, Uncle Jesse and Cooter, the good ol' boys go up against the villainous Boss Hogg, his bumbling cohorts Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane and Deputy Enos in order to win the Hazzard County Derby. Just like the television show, The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee is filled with wild off-road action, gravity-defying stunts and adrenaline-pumping car chases.
Key Features:
The Dukes of Hazzard is an all-American favorite: Fans young and old across the U.S. remember the TV show with fondness, with its fast, memorable cars and down-home characters.
The Dukes world, the way fans want it: Players explore a virtual Hazzard County full of stunts, races, chases and adventures all tied together by a new story.
Dukes Celebrity and Music: Full cast represented from the show, with voice-overs and likenesses from John Schneider (Bo Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), James Best (Roscoe P. Coltrane), Ben Jones (Cooter) and Sonny Shroyer (Enos Strate). Also included is Waylon Jennings' signature theme song.
Dukes Vehicles: Players can drive a variety of vehicles including the General Lee, the Black Charger, Uncle Jesse's Pickup, Daisy's Road Runner, Cooter's Tow Truck, Rosco and Enos's Police Cruisers, Boss Hogg's limousine and the infamous "Double Zero", the only car to ever beat the General Lee.
Hair-Raising Chases and Stunts: Take on Rosco and Boss Hogg in a single-player Adventure Mode containing over 15 missions, and an unlockable two player split-screen mode featuring destruction derby battles, head-to-head competition and cooperative play.
Great developer: Ratbag Games is a developer of high-quality racing games, such as Powerslide and World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars.

I had a lot of fun with this game despite what other reviewers have said. It wasn't easy at first, but what game is.
It's always a chore to get used to the controls.
I buy games I like and this was one I had to get as soon as it was available. The Dukes on film - the Dukes on TV - the Dukes on a video game - the Dukes on clothes
I've done it all!
keep'em coming!
while this isn't the best game ever
If you are a Dukes fan it will be more fun than usual
and at the cheapo price it's a great piece of history.
True to the TV series

I'm a big Dukes fan and I reckon this is the best Dukes game yet. The characters are really cool and I love the fact the stars from the TV show appear in the game. The total game time is a great feature, turning the whole game into a giant timed race. (I can't get anywhere near the best time... yet.)
I think only Dukes fans or kids will enjoy this one, though. For $30 it's great value.
Fun but frustrating

This game is pretty good! The jumps are awsome and missions are okay.A cool game for DUKES OF HAZZARD fans. But still the game can be very frustrating at times. For example, THE CONTROLLS!!!
When you try to do a 190 (or bigger) you spin out of controll most of the time. The missions can also be very frustrating. It almost made me smash the controller on the floor! If I were you I would think hard about buying this game.
5% fun and 95% frustration

Overall, sure it's enjoyable. I first played the demo at a friend's house. Then I rented the game, and my best friend and I worked our way through the game. Notice that I did not say we played our way through the game. Unfortunately, it's nothing short of a chore to get through this game. Certain things you have to do have very strict (sometimes on the very brink of impossible) time limits. If you fail to meet your goal in time, then it starts you at the very beginning of that "mission," if you will. But you may have worked for hours to get where you are.
This game does not let you save very often, and there are no options in terms of difficulty levels. If that feature had been added, I would have much better things to say about this game. This game has a level of re-playability only to the extent at which you remember the frustrations you endured during your first run of gameplay. I re-started the game one night, but after a few minutes decided, "Oh yeah, I remember how irritating this game eventually became." So, I quit.
It's sad that the people who made this game were unaware of the fact that not every game-player is born with a silver controller in his mouth. But they were obviously expecting their target audience to be absolutely perfect in terms of hand-eye coordination on the controller.
I recommend everyone to avoid this game and wait for the developers to produce a game which proves that they are in touch with their market.

We got this game for our son, he's 15 and has loved the Dukes since the first rerun he ever saw. He has the PC game, but likes this one way more. It is fun and more challanging than he thought it would be. Our little ones will even sit and watch it as he plays.
this is the best game you can buy

The gameplay is horrible. This game does not have a a "easy", "normal" or "hard" configuration, so if you don't have exact hand-eye coordination, this game is unplayable.
The graphics, characters and horns are great, but the game play should allow for a novice player.
1) Still Runnin' - Uncle Jesse has to follow a flat bed truck. For key turns, the truck is off the screen, so you have to guess which way it turned, instead of being able to follow it. A camera control would have fixed this, but you can only look forward or backward, not sideways.
2) Bully around - There is one level where Cooter has to drive around destroying bull-dozers within time limits. This game's time modes are drastically unfair. One slight mistake and you have to retry the level. For someone who doesn't care enough to be 100.00% perfect, 95% should do. The game doesn't give you parameters on how far away the vehicles need to park from eachother. Also those parameters change at each location.

This game was bought for my 10yr.old nephew, and he loves this game, I watched him play it Christmas night and it looked awesome. The effects on the game was just unreal. They were so cool, especially the way you could make the horn blow it's just too cool. He loves this game, he plays it everyday when he gets his homework done. I would recommened it for everyone.
