A Pretty Cool Game

I think that this game is fun. It gives you a strong sense of achievement once you unlock everything. It's not freakishly hard or anything, but it still isn't the game that you can sit down and figure out immediatly. The only bad part is the graphics, which are not great, but you can account that to the game's age. Altogether a game that is well worth it.

NOT ENOUGH MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moon Tycoon is fun, but everything is to much money. You can buld, but for more than you are worth!

I was extremely dissapointed with this game. The main premise is to build a lunar colony which you can do by building housing, utility plants, and generate revenue through tourism and manufacturing.

The gameplay is very simple and requires little strategy. It takes a long time for some of the building options to become available and there are very few variances which will change how your play develops. Also, there are only a few campaigns and they are not very complex or interesting. There is no ability to create your own landscape or campaigns. The only landscaping options available are to raise or lower ground and there is no way to beautify. I ran out of cash quickly and had to wait a long time with the game speeded all the way up to be able to build new buildings as they became available.

The graphics are kind of cool, however, the day night cycles are very annoying because at night it becomes very dark to see anything and it harder to build.

The one thing that I did like about the game was that the messages for the game was pretty funny. Also, it it very easy to master, perhaps to easy.

I don't suggest spending the money on this game, there are better tycoon or sim games out there and the fun of this game wears off quickly.

Very Disappointed

I was not happy with this game. I realized that the only thing you can do in this game is build. You have to continually build things. There's nothing more to it. You can't sit back and watch your colony like you would watch your mall in Mall Tycoon, becauseyou can't even see the people. The graphics are horrible and honestly I wouldn't consider this a good buy at all. If you're looking to buy this for someone as a gift, don't.

Lunar "SimCity"

This game is very similar to SimCity. If you enjoy playing SimCity, you will probably like this game too. Because the setting is on the moon, you will have to think over some other materials that would not be any matter on SimCity.

In Moon Tycoon, you should think about Oxygen besides Water and Electricity. You will also face pollution problems just as what in SimCity. You can also create your own 'city' the way you like. You can make it sparkling as LasVegas by building entertainment places, or you can build scientific building for educational purposes.

In general, this game is interesting and it comes with pretty good 3D engine that enables you to rotate in any direction and zoom in and out to your convinient.

I first bought this without looking at the reveiws at amazon, but i found i thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the first tycoon game that was in 3d which was why i bought it. I really like tycoon games. This one was great! The missions are clearly possible, the graphics are great, the gameplay is great and the structures look really cool. Even the inflatable houses look neat. There are some cons though. Such as: The screen movement is choppy and it's VERY hard to keep your budget in tact. In the reagular version you start out with 50000 dollars to build your entire colony. When you finally finish you can look back at your work and enjoy it because the layout they made is beautiful, a real eye opener. I too wished when i was playing this game that i could just settle in one of my colonys. It is clear how any sim would want to settle in on someone's colony.
Recommendations: I would recommend this to anyone who is good at keeping good budget at these games.
Not recemmended to: Gray Davis

This game is very interseting, and fun. Takes a little time at first to get things moving, and you frequently run out of money. But has awesome grapic features. I would really recommend this game for a "tycoon" lover

My grandson (6) and I love the Tycoon games, however, leveling out the ground on this one is REALLY tedious since you have to do 1 block at a time.
We found a trainer to keep our money up and everything else is not only doable but fun if you like to build.
Justin really enjoys the Zoo Tycoon series, we have all 3 and at 6 years old he told his nana he wants to be a anthropologist when he grows up. Now he's excited about this one and who knows??? He may want to be a space colonist when he grows up :-)
