Oh great. It's probably just going to be another scenery pack. Not that I don't like scenery or anything but with the current limits on objects, this expansion pack will be living H-E-double hockey sticks(if you know what I mean :) ). I am looking forward to getting this but I'm not dancing around my house about it.
P.S. My rating is based on my expectations of it.
Atari's Expansion looks like they'll copy off EA's The Sims

I have to admit that when I played the original Roller Coaster Tycoon I was impressed. I was happy with the expansions added to that game too. Each expansion added new rides and scenery and lots of new scenerios. It was quite fun to play.
However, I have not been impressed by RCT2. It's a rework of the original with very little new content and too many things changed or removed. This Time Twister Expansion Pack, being released months after the Wacky World Expansion Pack, should say one thing to everyone out there: Atari is attempting to create add on packs in a similar fashion as what EA did with The Sims. However, the expansions for RCT2 add much less in content. All they do is take the same old rides and create new ride vehicles. That does not justify a whole brand new ride! It's the same thing just reworked. Yes, a lot of scenery is added too. But there's no significant change in gameplay! You're still building the same parks with the same old rides. They just have the option of looking different now. It's much like how you could download new buildings for Sim City 2000 or 3000. EA never charged anyone for that because it's not changing gameplay--it's just making things look nicer, if you want. Does Atari think it's special or something so that it can charge money?
I used to be a huge RCT fan. Currently, I'm disgusted. I would not pay more than $... for any of these RCT2 expansions if I were to ever get them. At present, I will not buy any expansion to RCT2. Companies have got to learn that you can't slap together a few little visual enhancements, put them in a box, and sell them. I'm extremely dissapointed.

This is a much needed expansion pack. After Wacky Worlds expansion (which was a 2/10) this is hopfully going to be better. I hops sence it's Time Twister there will be night and day. And seasons (winter, autome, summer). If it has those qaulities this will get alot more people into the game, and it will make the game what it use to be.

Well, I bought RCT2 and thought it was cool, but I still like RCT better. When Wacky Worlds came out, I did not hesitate to buy it due to my previous experiences with the RCT expansion packs. When I installed it, I found that the number of senerios had doubled, so I was exited. I began playing a level and discovered that the rides were slightly altered to be themed with the senerio. I noticed that I didn't have any new real rides but I had lots of senery, but it was too much to really use all of it.
SO basically, I was just really disappointed with it. Based on this information I can conclude that Time Twister expansion pack can't get any worse than RCT2: WW, unless it is just like it.
Another Great Expansion Pack!

I think this expansion pack should be awesome! All of the others were! I have every RCT and RCT2 game available and I sure as heck will have this one! If I had an XBOX I would have that one too! Anyway! Every expansion pack does add new rides not just new trains! Personally, I think RCT2 is the best thing that's ever happend to Chris Sawer! Wacky worlds was ,OKAY! It added a few new rides and ride elements! The addition of the original RCT2 was great! The idea of adding six flags parks and rides is awesome! I think, if it's as good as the others, that every coaster fan should own TIME TWISTER!

I hope it will be allot better win the new Rollercoaster Tycoon Time Twister Expansion Pack comes out I hope it be allot better. I hope they add time to it like Day and Night. When gets dark all lights come on. And they should add a life gaurd to save people in the water. That what someone else told me. Also they should add some cars like they drive by and people come in out there car. And come in the park. And I hope the new Add-On for this game will make the game hole lot better just like the cover should show in the real life.

I love how incredibly unintelligent people are allowed to write a review for a game that is not even out and one which they have no clue about. At least I am writing from the experience of playing all the RCT games and expansions and understanding the game and how things work.
This expansion will be as bad as Wacky Worlds. The RCT franchise will continue to be absolutely horrible until it is taken out of the hands of its publisher - Infogrames (now Atari).
Pass on this and all other RCT games and expansions until people with knowledge on the subjet give it their approval rating. Until then you are just ignorantly wasting your money.

Amazon shouldn't even allow reviews to be posted on items no one has access to yet. It's like giving a movie that won't be released for another year a bad review because the director's old movie from two years ago was a dud.

For those of you who write reviews without owning the productor even the demo or even bothering to read pc magazines for reviews or who do not bother to go to things like E3 to look at the new innovative ideas being introduced by certain companies, let me be of aid to you.
First, Time Twister is the same pathetic attempt to acheive EA's 'The Sims' status. But why not? The Sims games are ALWAYS number one when they release, so as far as the manufacturer is concerned, they don't care what you think or feel. They make money off your greed for more of the same. So fork it over, you know you want it.
Second, It's not the same. you can bet on that. It's just not done the right way, but like I said they make money so it doesnt really matter what I think. Time Twister adds the element of scenarios from some of the first amusement parks ever built all the way to futuristic parks with outstanding and unbelievable new rollercoaster designs, and no, they didn't just make different cars for the same rides, they added new stuff, too. It adds new Six Flags rides (of course) and new Six Flags Scenarios (hopefully Astroworld and Fiesta Texas will get some recognition now, since TEXAS KICKS BUTT) along with a plethora of new theming objects that sadly could have just been added by a patch over the internet website.
Third, These games sell because even though at times they may loose their addictiveness, they are still fun to piddle around with when your board, you can do some pretty cool things, like making twisters into common shapes like airplanes or cubes or race tracks. And face it, there is a bit of a feeling of accomplishment when you finish a ride that has a skyrocketing excitement but a low nausia and intinsity, it feels like if your job now doesnt work out, at least you could design rollercoasters one day.
Fourth, those who talk bad about this game and say that it stinks are the ones that stink at it. They are not good at strategy or responsibility and keeping up with the multiple number of boundaries and buttons. And financial information can get too difficult for their puny minds, even though the box says E for everyone it should be O for Old enough to know two plus two. So don't bother taking into account their Bologne. "DON'T BE HATIN'" This series is great and is a lot of fun if you get into it with the mindset that you need the tutorial, YOU ARE NOT A WIZARD, you need a little help. So get the help and study the techniques, and after a while you will have a collection of coasters to be happy about and show off to your friends and to the world and who knows, maybe some day Chris Sawyer will actually pay attention to his own website and like your idea.
