I would give this game 5 stars but I just didn't get that rush! sure it looks good but there is not enough WEAPONS! As soon as I played Robot Arena 2...I forgot about the first one! RA2 is just plain better...

A 4.5 Star Game...

Robot Arena lacks in competition in single player, but playing over a LAN is really cool. Build your own robot(should be more weapons and add-ons), then play against your friends. The game requires a faster computer speed then what is said on the box. I have a 550 P-3 and it is still fairly choppy with saws ablazin. Overall, if you like fighting robots and the show Battlebots, your $... will be well spent towards this game.

Worth $20 I think

I'd have liked to see more parts for the bots, and a more in-depth single player game (I finished it in 40 minutes!!) but there are a ton of possibilities for bots, and the option for internet play looks promising. :D If they continue to support the game it will be great. More parts, more enemies, better AI, and an online community would be great.

fun but weard

this game is fun @ first but it is not one of those games that stick with you for a while. Like the chain saw in version 1.0.0.3 is electric but is sounds like a real chain saw. And they have stories aboute the parts and the people like there real, And the enemys range from farm people, X-cons, Zombies & warlocks. but the visual graphics are good like if you hit a wall with a battering ram or spikes it will most likly make a damage mark, but unstead of parts sparking and half hanging of and leaving them on the arena thay will just blow up. But if you saw the main body of a robot bolts will fall on the floor and disapear after aboute 3-to-5 seconds. and they need more weapons like a flame thrower or a net. If in the bot lab in prosses of making a robot hold down shift and press 4 it gives u $50,000 don't do this if you have more than $50,000. Also when your makeing your robot in the bot name type [cheatbot] and then click something (i don't know if you have to click something but may-b do this to make sure) and then re-name your robot in the same box you typed cheatbot and you get a elctric switch blade cool tires cool speakers (i don't know why any one would want speakers on a robot) and a stupid skull. [all these itums you get in the robot stuff menu the tires are disgiused as 8" tires above the mini tank treds the stupid stupid skull is a badge plate and the switch balde you can easely c. i hope this re-watever hlep u get or not get this fun weard game.

Do not buy this game. It has a lot of potential, but the designers for this game were in too much of a hurry. The game will not save, causing you to lose the bots you create. I thought it might be the CD so I returned the Game and Same thing happens. This game is not even worth 1 Star. DO NOT BUY IT.

Dont Buy This Game

I was so looking foward to playing this. I'm one of those geeky types who loves watching robots smash heck out of each other. So I thought this would be an ideal title for me.

Heres why you shouldnt buy it.

The robot build feature is totally lame. Blank spaces in the weapons menu make you think that this game was not finished b4 it was released.

The AI is way way to easy to beat. I became the champion at my first attempt!!! The AI robots dont attack they just sit there and let you knock hell outta them!

Wizard works should be ashamed of themselves for releasing this utter excuse for a game on to the market. Ive played free shareware games that are 100 times better than this.

JUST DONT BUY IT ITS THE WORST GAME YOULL EVER PLAY

To easy

The game was fun at first but the creators were in to big of a hurry. The computer is to easy to beat and there is no way to change the difficulty level.

WAY TO EASY

We have that game at my school. My friend Justin plays it all the time. Justin likes that game. I don't have it, but I want it.

Great idea, little pay off

Well, I do agree that you get what you pay for. Bear in mind this is retail $20. The models, movement, etc, is all nice, considering that the development team was building ROBOT models, so there wasn't much of an issue to make these 'bots pretty, or graceful. The parts selection becomes boring after about 20 minutes of play, and the AI is horrendous. I was very interested in this title, considering the hype around Battlebots and the new Robotica, but this left me very very cold. The internet aspect (the main reason I even picked up this game) is a facet that COULD improve with time given that WizardWorks would dedicate some time to it, but after reviewing their website, I'm not holding my breath. The only way this could EVER be redeemed is if WizardWorks releases the code, and a SDK (Shouldn't EVERY game developer be doing this by now?), and let the USERS breath a little life into what is essentially a nice skeleton of a game that could be improved over time. Once again, don't hold your breath. I'm still holding w/ Sanity (Aiken's Artifact), but I'm afraid I'm losing it quick...
