If the Zelda series doesn't ring a bell in your mind, obviously you do not know what you are missing out on! This game and its sister title, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, were the last releases for the Gameboy Color era, and the best as well. The controls in this game are easy for anybody to learn. They pretty much consist of moving and selecting items! Your 8 year old will have no problem whatsoever with it. The storyline is not confusing or complex, there are just many side-stories. The graphics are bright, colorful, and detailed. There are so many things to explore, you could never get bored of this game. I recommend this game for the player who likes the hack-and-slash sort of games. If you are a long-time Zelda fan or enjoy solving puzzles, buy Oracle of Ages. However, if you have the money, buy both games. They link together without two systems and a cable. In other words, if you complete one game, you recieve a password for the next that changes the storyline and events. Happy Questing!

This game is really great It is identical to Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and with both of them you can create a linked game or secret game which are almost two different adventures.
Also if you have both games you can get weapons like the master sword or mirror shield. In this game their are 8 dungeons with 8 mini bosses and bosses and also a final boss. This game is pretty challeging with puzzles and a great story line. It also has good sound and pretty decent graphics.

This is technically part one (or two depending on which order you play) of the Zelda Oracle story. THe idea in this chapter is simple. AS Link you are summoned by the triforce to take on an evil force in the land. In this chapter the oracle of Seasons has beened kidnapped by the Dark Knight Onyx to disrupt the balance of nature and destroy the world. As link you must assist the elder tree and gather the 8 essences of NAture and rescue the oracle. Although pretty much unarmed at first you must quest to retrieve these essences and save the day. After this the story continues in Oracle of Ages where you must eventually take out the true force behind the evil (if you play oracle of ages first than the story goes the other way). What makes this fun though is that the challenge is tremendouse. A must own for GBC/GBA fans. Purchase with LoZ Oracle of Ages to get the full story.
IF YOU NEVER PLAYED ZELDA -- READ THIS!

If you have played Zelda, you don't need to read this! This game is another Classic! In the realm of RPG/Adventure Games, the Legend of Zelda series is one of, if not THE, best, in every platform, in every incarnation. I beat this game already, but am still trying to beat the boss in the Oracle of Ages, the sister game to this one. You can play them separately or link them to reveal new secrets and areas of play. I recommend this game to everyone. By the way, I share my Zelda games with my 14-year old son, if he asks nicely. LOL
This game ROCKS!

tHIS IS AN EXCITING GAME but extremely hard. It's cool cuz u get to use a rod of seasons to change the seasons, but you need to see the spirits to make it work. It's really fun and there's alot of secret passage ways. Youv'e gotta save this girl named Din from this Onox guy. Yov'e gotta get all eight essences of nature in order to beat Onox. You get to go to this Subrosia place to get items and collect power for your rod of seasons. Overall, this is a fun game but VERY hard. I only made it to the fourth level, Im'n trying to get Zora's Flipper's.

This is the best gameboycolor rpg I've ever played. It has good graphics for a gbc. I think it it has a good storyline. When you beat it the first way it's really cool but with the Holondrom secret it a lot more fun and also has a better storyline than w/ out the secret. This is a good game for anyone that likes the Legend of Zelda.

I got this game a year ago seeing the commercials on TV. i was gonna get both but didn't cuz I wanted one challenge at a time. I started playing it then couldn't stop for 8 hours straight. I got pretty far in a couple of months but I am now stuck on the 6th dungeon. (theres 8 in all) i don't care cuz it makes me love it even more. it has awesome graphics, sound and challenges. I suggest this game to anyone and EVERYONE with a Game Boy.

I tried to play Oracle of Ages first, but it scared me. Luckily, I found Seasons to be easier to grasp onto. It plays as an overhead adventure as Link, in conquest to restore the four seasons that have been thrown out of order. Four seasons! The landscape changes within those four seasons, and that's a lot to keep track of. Yeesh! Speaking of landscape, the overworld is huge. So huge, in fact, many times I was at a complete loss where to go next. Sometimes it took only 20 minutes to find the next dungeon while other times I spent 2 hours looking for the blasted thing. There are eight main dungeons to conquer in the game, and each one grows increasingly harder. Yes, Seasons is fairly challenging, much more so than Link's Awakening was. But it can be beat, and the puzzles, though they seem impossible at first, have recognizable solutions. I also really like the new weapons and items in this Zelda game, but I hate the fact that Heart Containers are so hard to find since most of them come from growing trees that you lose track of too easily. -- If you liked Link's Awakening, there's no reason why you shouldn't already own this. But if you haven't played Link's Awakening yet, do so first. Otherwise, Seasons will be a little more difficult for you.
