The colors and graphics are GREAT!! The photo feature is hilarious! And I LOVE the new "color" dungeon. The people at Nintendo have REALLY out-done themselves!

Link's Awakening is certainly the best gameboy game to come into my hands. I have been a gamer all my life(I'm 14 now) and recently got this game. A kid at school had the game(DX version) and said to me he didn't want it. I told hi I'd pay him 5 bucks for it. What a kid that kid was. This game, is pleasing in the sense that it is long, and dishes out what Ocarina of Time did for N64, on the gameboy. Though I have not played the newest games(Oracle of ages/seasons),i am in doubt that the games may surpass the greatness of Link's awakening. If you have never played any Zelda games, this may be the best one to try, but be warned, they are all hard in their own way, and this one is not easy. Get this. It's essential to any gamer.
Incredible!

This game is totally awesome. Very advanced, wide variety of items, enemies, and places. Excellent graphics, even for Gameboy. A very challenging adventure is in this cartridge, and its tons of fun! Play it on a Gameboy Color and you can go to a secret dungeon! Its like a normal labryinth, and instead of getting an instrument, you get red clothes which doubles your offense permanently, or blue clothes, which doubles your defense permanently (my personal choice). Superb game! Excellent adventure.
Best game I've ever played!

I haven't gotten too far, but so far it's been a really good game. It's challenging (that's why I haven't gotten too far), exciting, and just plain fun! You have to get through a forest to get to a house where you can trade for items. Also you have to cut trees to find things like rubies which can help you buy things to help you. I recommend you get this game because I think you'd enjoy it.

I borrowed the game from a friend, and it was so good that I beat it 15 times before I gave it back. But when I played Oracle of Ages, I forgot that A, B, Start and Select don't save in Ages, they reset the game instead!
Link's Awakening is the best!

This is a Zelda lovers must have. The story line is cool and has a great twist. There are a couple side quests needed to beat the game, but it makes it that much better. This game is absolutely the best game For GB color that I have played.

The legend of Zelda Link's Awakening is one of the most entertaining games for gameboy color. The first day i got this game i spent hours playing it. There are many mysterys in this game. The point of the game is to find the 8 instruments and awaken the sleeping fish. As you travle through the 4 direction game you discover many side games. This game doesnt have the best graphics but it is great compared to other games. The music is good too. I suggest this game for someone who enjoys puzzles and wants a game that will last them a long time. You will enjoy this game as much as i did.

This is a really, really good game. I would totally reccomend it over pokemon. Pokemon is incredibly addictive, but when you get over your initial excitment, you realize that it is empty and ultimately unsatisfying. Link's Awakening is just as addictive, but has so many other good things, such as graphics, plot line, ect. The plot line is perhaps the best thing, and the ending can bring a tear to your eye. I also have some helpful hints to make the game go smoother: 1.) To beat the raccoon in the Mysterious Forest, go into the cave. At the other end of the cave, you will find a mushroom. Go back through the cave, then make your way west. You will find a house. Go in the house, present the mushroom to the witch inside, and she will give you some magic powder. Go back and sprinkle it on the raccoon. (Note: If this is too complex, just go to the claw game and get a bag.) 2. Try not to die. If you make it through the whole game without dying, you will get a special surprize at the end. 3. Near the house of the witch mentioned above, there is a house blocked by stones. Lift up the stones, go in the house, and you will find a woman named Crazy Tracy. She will sell you some magic elixer that will replenish your hearts when you run out. The problem is that the elixer only works once, so you may have to go back many times. If you still have problems, go to Nintendo's website or buy a game guide. With the game guide, I had played and finished the entire game in about three days. I hope I have been of aid in getting you to buy and finish the game.
The best game boy game ever

Yes, that's right...it even stomps out 2-player Tetris. I received this game for Christmas a few years back, and played it obsessively for several months every day after school. It was the first video game I ever played that I truly felt the character's struggle, and was sucked in by the story.
Mesmerized, I played for hundreds of hours before finally beating it one glorious day. The endgame does NOT disappoint.
Basically, this is as good as game boy games get. It's got a great story, good graphic design, solid control/user interface, FABULOUS music, and challenging puzzles and gameplay. In fact, maybe the game is a bit too hard at some times....I pity the poor people who don't know ahead of time that 20 seashells are needed for that magical sword. The island is so huge, sometimes you can get lost just trying to figure out what to do NEXT.
That said, go get lost in this game. I've played it through probably 20 times, and it's still great each time.
