I love this type of roll-playing game...the puzzles are challenging, the graphics are realistic...you can really get lost on the island! I have played this game (the non-color version) every year since 1995 and it is still a lot of fun!

I was at gamestop one time looking for a game to play on my XBOX 360 and when I was looking at this game one time (it's the original not the DX Version) and I was amazed because I have never played this game before 15 years ago and you know this is my first time I played this game and basically I was amazed because of the fact that I have never played this before and the one thing I would like to add is that there are some mario characters in the game like Goomba's Piranha Plants and ghosts that look like Shy guy's. Anyway so I decide to take a break of using the XBOX 360 and I got this game for only $4.99 and that was cheap. I give this game a 4 out of 5!

Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're reading this, I'm glad you managed to tear yourselves away from the omnipresent pokémon invading our lives. If anyone remembers, Link's Awakening was THE ultimate Gameboy game before Pikachu and his pals arrived on scene. And it's not hard to see why. The gameplay is simply fantastic! From the very beginning you'll be drawn into the deep storyline and immediately get to grips with the silky-smooth controls. Those who fumbled with the short sword in the previous A Link to the Past will be delighted with the range of the new one. The game also features some nifty cinematic-scenes, which are quite a rarity for Gameboy games, and the colour version sports a camera shop and an excellent colour dungeon.

In the game, Link the hero becomes shipwrecked on a mystical island and is rescued by a girl named Marin. The bond that develops between the two is really touching and you'll genuinely feel sorry for her at the end of the game. Link is told that if he wants to return home, he must awaken the legendary Wind Fish by defeating the mysterious nightmares inhabiting the island and collecting eight magical instruments. Along his quest, he encounters several enigmatic messages that make him wonder if it is all nothing but a dream. The story is fabulously written and you'll soon be questioning your motives and experiencing many sleepless nights.

If you're one of the lucky gamers to own the original version 1.0 of the game (very hard to find nowadays), you'll be treated to an extra warp-code feature that allows you to explore two secret worlds in the game.

With fabulous control, an excellent story, an unspoken love, and a beautifully designed island, The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a game that will last for years. I just have one question: Why is it called The Legend Of Zelda when she isn't even in the game!

Fun, Long-Lasting, and Challenging

This RPG (Role-Playing Game) is pretty easy to play and lasts a long time. To play, you simply asign a weapon, such as a sword or the hook shot, to A or B. The battle sequences are very good for a 2-D system and allow fun battles. It's often hard to find out what to do, but usually isn't frustratingly difficult. Many secrets are available which, while unnecessary, make it easier and make it last longer. I recommend this game for all people.

Great Game For Trips!

I have this game and love it! If you are a Zelda fan you definitely have to get this game. It's also a must for long trips. The storyline is a little different from the other zelda games but it's still great! You are on a vaction from Hyrule and while you are going back to Hyrule your ship gets struck by lightning and you wake up on a strage island. To get off of the island you must collect 8 instruments (8 dungeons) to wake up the wind fish.

The best ever!

This is the greatest game in Zelda history. I don't really have the game, but I have a GBC on the computer. In this game, your quest is to find the eight Siren Instruments hidden in eight challenging dungeons called Levels. They are called Tail Cave, Bottle Grotto, Slime Dungeon, Angler's Tunnel, Catfish's Maw, Face Shrine, Eagle Tower and Turtle Rock. When they are all collected, you must crack the Wind Fish's Egg and fight a lot of Nightmares. This is a lot harder than you think. Along the way, you'll find items required to beat the game. You must do a trading process and get the Magnifying Lens to read a book in the Library that tells you how to get through the Egg. Search on the Internet for an emulator and the game. I reccomend the emulator called Rew from pgz.pgamers.com. If you get to play this game, make sure you have fun!
