This game not only quickly captured the 7 - 9 year old, but their parents and older relatives. Very very good.

Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone is one of those games that is good but not great. Basically, you are Harry Potter (can't be personalized) and you go around Hogwarts Castle completing various tasks, learning spells and collecting Bertie Botts Every Flavored Beans and Wizard Cards.

This game is perfect for the Harry Potter fan who just wants to visualize what life at Hogwarts is life. The game is pretty much based on the movie, not the book. The actors who did the voices for the game obviously tried to emulate the voices of the actor's from the movie.

While this game is fun to play, it falls into a strange category. It is too difficult for anyone younger then 10, but it is too easy for anyone over the age of 14. A good gamer could easily sit down and beat the game in one night. Quidditch is fun, but it gets repetitive after awhile and the commentary is horrendous.

The main thing that irked me about this game was the graphics. The textures and environment are wonderful, but the faces look fake. Also, Harry's has one jump and one climb move for every situation, so even when he is climbing over a small step, he jumps and makes it look like the 2 foot step is 5 feet tall.

All in all, I would avoid this game and instead check out [...].

It's a fun game. It's different from the movie or the book but I still like it. You: play Quidditch, collect Berttie Bot's Every Flavor Beans, trade the beans, collect chocolate frogs, collect wizard cards, explore Hogwarts & cast spells. You still have to go to class though. It's a fantastic game.

Harry Potter is a copy of the movie and more. This great game follows every inch of the story in great detail. Learn spells, fight giant trolls, collect wizard cards, and fly 50 feet high on a broom while chasing a tiny yellow ball. Plus, hear about a plot that includes Quirrel and Snape, two professors.

The controls of the game aren't rocket science, and a slow person can even master them in five minutes or so. This game will keep you hooked. This game provided me with hours of fun and magic. This is a MUST BUY.

the first hp computer game was a bore (on playstation and on the computer) the second was much better on playstation 2, not so hot on the comp. they could have come up with better ideas... the games are pretty boring and repetitive. i don't know... there are smart people out there... spice these games up a bit.

Yippe! Fun!

Harry- Potter 1 RULES! I mean, for a wonderful week, that's all I'd play! So don't listen to my brother, Bob Gelhar, he lies! This Game does not lie when it means FUN! 3D Hogwarts is cool, everything is cool, and it isn't a rip off! Cheap, fun, like every game should be. Remember, ignore my brother!

I bought this game and loved it. Some part took me a while to complete but I love it I recomend it to any body ages 7 up because it is a chalange at points. And at 11 it still takes me [long] time to beat. i love the game. right now i have to sneek past flinch to get to the common room. this game has a good veiw but sometimes you have trouble seeing things around corners. But that is really the only problem. Again I loved this game.

The graphics are okay in this game, they could be better...but it's a good start. I liked that you were able to explore the grounds for a little bit. I've had this game for a few years now and I've still enjoyed playing it. If you compare it to the newer Harry Potter PC Games that have come out, it is WAY TOO EASY with the exception of the end part were you have to go through all of the tasks to get to the Voldemort part. I would recommend this game for HARRY POTTER FANS but ALSO FIRST TIME GAMERS.

HP: Primitive graphics, fun game

A fairly good adaptation of the book and film and pretty fun. The graphics, however, are laughable by Battlefront, Kingdom Hearts and LEGO Island standards (Use the harrysuperjump cheat outside and aim over the fence. Very funny results, like going beyond the range of the graphics). The characters at times look 2D and the objects have a wee bit to many sides, but the game makes up for graphic faults with fairly challenging levels, funnish spells and interactive environmants (Yeow, in some cases). Just look at those beutiful spiky plants and... YEOW! Get my point? Fairly large areas to play in, but the mistakes are very noticable at times. For instance, if you make it across the hall without Peeves spotting you, the people on the other side act like statues and the area is about ten times smaller than before the lumos challenge (Shrinking rooms, what'll they think of next?). Other mistakes include the chandilers being suprisingly 2D and Nearly Headless Nick is rather solid for ghost standards. But enough about mistakes. The levels are directly out of the book and movie, the creatures are funny and scary at alternate times and the controls are extremly easy to manage. What this all boils down to is that this game is just plain fun, about fifty times better than the third and second games.
