I bought this game last month, and I can't stop playing. The fact that there are two different experience modes to race with (6Volt and 9Volt) is a great feature for both the traditional gamer as well as the novice beginner. Using actual Tyco R/C cars was another nice touch. I can go to Toys R Us and see the R/C cars that I raced with. There's lots of cars and tracks, and you can race the tracks backwards! The computer controlled cars race like a human player. You never know what they are going to do! And having different play-modes like Battle Mode and the Soccer! What a great idea. My friends and I love to battle each other.
The only problem I had with it is that while playing Two Player in Challenge mode, the game would slow down a little at certain points, when lots of stuff was going on onscreen.
I would recommend this game to my friends.
Much Better than RC Revenge!

I played RC Re-Volt for the PC, and was *very* impressed with the great graphics, varied gameplay modes, and awesome music. Thinking that its PlayStation sequel, RC Revenge, would be just as good, I got it - and was disappointed. What I should've bought instead was Tyco RC Assault. The car and level graphics are some of the best I've seen on the PlayStation. The cars themselves are incredibly fun, and their ability to do the special transformations (one of them transforms to twice its width, while another pulls out a giant spinning drill) is a really fun gameplay twist. In addition to the excellent single player mode, the two player deathmatches are pretty fun. Tyco RC Assault has so much stuff to unlock, you'll be playing for weeks. This game is definitely a lot of fun, and one of the best kart-style racers on the PSX.
