Rocks!

For those of you who like "linear" RPGs, where your path is set and NPCs tell you everything you must do, look elsewhere. If you like to wander around, get lost in the world exploring and fighting, this is the game for you. HUGE map, with 2 different 'worlds' to explore, loads of caves, tons of monsters, hidden weapons, spells, etc. (the pirate treasure side quest is truly awesome; you look for pieces of the map scattered over the world) Travel by land, sea, and even air! . Then, when you've had your fun, go ahead and try to beat the game =]

Sure. The graphics are weak and the fight sequences have absolutely no strategy. The plot is also confusing. But the world of Brittania that they created was so creative and interesting. This game sucks you in like a great book and leaves you wanting more. The non-linear gameplay allows for you to experience what a creative world this is and explore all the villages and cities and the deep dungeons and caves. For those who need a break from all the japo-fantasy rpg's monopolizing the market, this game gets to the true heart of an rpg. It doesn't matter if the graphics suck as long as game keeps you interested and captivated. The music is very good too!

THE FALSE PROPHET ROCKS

Sure. The graphics are [bad], the fighting has no strategy and the plot is confusing. But the land of Brittania was so interesting and captivating. This game sucks you in like a good book. It takes time and patience but when you take advantage of the non-linear gameplay and explore the many wonders of the villages you almost wish you could be there. For people who need a break from the blockbuster japo-fantasy games (ie. all new rpg's) this one is a must. At times it almost plays like a mystery novel. The superbly imaginative and creative world of ultima 6 more than makes up for the weak graphics and poor battles sequences. Oh, and the music is very good. It's more medieval than it is "new age" like most new games.
