First off if your a fan of flight sims go away, this game is for those of use who dont care about trim, landing gear and all other kinds of things that take away from action.

I first played the PC demo of this game a few years ago, while it was an ok game it was more fun online. Now that this has been revamped for the Xbox its much more fun. Sadly I haven't gone online with this game yet but its easily one of my favorite Xbox games. The Best Graphics award from X-Play is why I got this game but it turns out that I dont even notice the graphics. The game play and story keeps me drawn to the title.

I cant wait to get Xbox Live so I can get online with this game and get the downloadable content and play it online.

Non stop fun

Whether you just play the single player or connect to Xbox Live, Crimson Skies is a must play. The graphics are fantastics and the gameplay is easy enough to jump right in, but difficult enough to keep you playing for hours. The dogfights on Live, however, are phenomenal. Coming around a bend to see 15 other planes fighting is just a rush. Get this game now!

TOTAL BLAST!

There are many long reviews out there, and I have little more to offer than this: This game is highly addictive (but in a good way). Me and my friends will play it for hours having a great time, loving the superb graphics and game play. Once we finished it (after a long, long time), we just went back to the beginning and started it all over again. I think I have played the game all the way through about 7 times now. Two of my game playing friends have bought it for themselves now. Unlike some other games you get a LOT of replay-value bang for your buck, pound, yen or Euro. Love this game. Go buy it.

I recently bought this game for $19.99 at some big sale. I thought it was too good to be true. Well, it was. This game is scary good. I have found nothing bad about it. This game is challenging, addicting, immersive, and fun. Oh, and did I mention the graphics? Brilliant. This looks like you're actually in a plane. The water looks so real it's creepy, and you cringe when there's an explosion. This game takes place in an alternate U.S.A. in the 30's. Basically, the U.S.A. has been divided up into nation states after WWI, and instead of cars, everyone flies planes. You're a pirate type of thing, stealing and earning money whenever possible. You're also the head of your gang - the Fourtune Hunters. Your home is a zepplin called Pandora. The game starts with you saerching for "Big John," the pilot of the Pandora. The story goes from there, and if I told you more it would ruin it.

Pros:
Excellent graphics
Really fun gameplay
Challenging, but not frustrating

Cons:
Um...none really

Buy this game NOW.

This is an extremely good game. In my opinion its just a tad bit futuristic to be set in an alternate 1930's, but thats just me. I don't know about the rest of you, but I beat the single player campaign in a matter of hours, so now I'm waiting for my friend to pick up a copy so we can get some system link games going (I hate split screen). All in all, its a great game, and even though I don't have Xbox Live, I'm confident that it kicks booty there as well. Whats missing? Well, call me picky, but a level select after you beat the game might be nice. Pick it up - its a great game to have.

very refreshing

Crimson skies is a very refreshing game to play. It is really original in its plot, gameplay, and just overall style. This is a great game even if you are not into flying shooter games, but this is just done extremely well.

Graphics(9/10): everything is detailed very nicely. The planes, grass, mountains, oceans, buildings, zeps, sky, and the explosion from destroying an enemy is just beautiful to see. There is not too much to worry about on the graphics side.

Sound(10/10): The sound is amazing for this game. You can hear the water going by when you get close to it, the wind as you fly your plane around, when another plane passes you it sounds real. The best sound is when you do a dive, and then pull up and the last second. Even the music fits perfectly within the games style and time setting.

Gameplay(8/10): The gameplay is quite original. You are a leader of a group of pirates called the fortune hunters. It unravels to bring to each of the six different locations, where you can do numerous things. You can destroy other planes and zeps, race your plane in a course for money, do little secondary missions, and just explore a massive map. The only problem is that if you do not have xbox live it might not be worth playing after you beat it. I have it so I am very content, but there is not enough afterwards to do to continue playing.

Other than all that this game is really worth every cent. With being a new kind of genre for xbox it is a big relief to playing the same old games. This game never gets boring so make sure you purchase it or at least rent it to play it.

This game is a lot of fun, story is fairly interesting. It tends to get repetitive in places, boss fights especially, but that isn't constant by any means, and the dogfighting is well done. The online is fairly good, not great but it will fill a few days before you set it down. Planes are interesting, characters are relatively engaging, gameplay and graphics are very polished. Overall, fairly good.
