Wow. I played it and it was one of the funest games I've played in a LONG time. The game play was amazing and the graphics were super. The only thing is that it is SO short. I rented it and I beat it within a week! Great game, rent ti first.

(XBOX Live rocks with this game!!!)

Surprisingly good port!

I thought this was going to be a disaster like Mechassault, but this game is actually MORE fun then the PC version. There are a lot more things to do, environments are a lot better looking and the turret shooting is a nice addition.

Awesome game, perfect for XBox Live.

The second to last stage was kind of annoying though, I hate flying through a seemingly endless cave with repetitive.. things (sorry for the "cave" spoiler). The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's very buggy (at least for me, I've only had my XBox for about a month though). After I beat the single player mode, I tried to go back into the name I beat it with to play the stages over, and it would lock up while it's loading. The disc is in perfect condition, no dust, no scratches. Also if you try to join a game on XBox Live after it tells you the connection may be bad, if you cancel it and try again, the game locks up. Those are the only gripes, and the multiplayer thing is a pretty rare occurance (only happened twice so far). I blame my ISP for that one.

Microsoft does it again!!!

Wow...I got this game when i purchased the Xbox live Starter Kit. I am a pretty big fan of Crimson Skies on the computer, but this game makes the computer version look like it was made in the 1800's. There are so many different "worlds" that you can fly around in.

PROS:
Graphics are some of the best ive ever seen on a video game.

The selection of planes is amazing

The cutscenes during the single player missions have great graphics and help guide you through a realistic storyline.

The controls are easy to get used to use.

The special moves you can do with your plane by pressing the right thumbstick down are AMAZING

CONS:
None that i can think of

Overall this game is amazing! If you want a game that has great graphics, an awesome story line, and just pure fun..this game is for you! It is well worth the money, and even a better deal if you get it with the xbox live starter kit!

Take that you stupid Playstation!!!

This is a great game. The controlls work perfect. This is the type of game that makes the Playstation 2 look like the piece of junky kids toy that it is. Bring on Halo 2!!!!!!!

Great air-combat game! Bad melee game

My family bought an Xbox and picked out this $30 game. (they aren't cheap) We read the manual and started multiplayer in the mood for action, rambo, and violence. Wishfull thinking. we went back to the store and returned it for Halo. One of the greatest games in the world. (see my review on Halo)It makes a great air combat game with the option to hijack (is that how you spell it) planes, get in AA (anti-aircraft) guns and gun down the enemy, pick up power-ups ect. But it does not make a great melee game. If your in the mood for high speed air-combat it's great! Some of the airplanes include fast speed and low gun power planes, slow but heavy gun power planes, and somewhere in the middle. The downsides of the game for my family was that your airplane emblem consists of four tarot cards, (some families may have "issues" with this, some may not)you are a air "pirate," (once again some families may have "issues" with this, some may not) and it MAY (we didn't get that far so it MIGHT have it)have language and inmodist dressing in the films (once again some families may have "issues" with this, some may not)so it all depends on your family, but, as far as air-combat goes, it is GREAT!

XBOX ONLY! POOP!

Another great game stolen away. :( The original was a blast and a PC remake would have been fun. Now if the only thing I have to look forward to is a PC-port then I'll pass. Simple graphics and counsel converted to mouse/joystick controls take all the fun out of it.

Pros
el cheapo XBOX

Cons
Crap graphics (visually stunning, yea right, not at TV resolutions and with old hardware)
No joystick
Live, pay to play? Like selling ice to Eskimoes
No custom anything, if MS didn't make it then you ain't getting it
Split screen mulitplayer is horrid for those that don't go Live. Even low video cards support multi-monitors these days how about some multi-tv/monitor support there MS?
Constant loading, with only 64mb of RAM having it load every five minutes is a pain.

I'll start buying XBOX games when they play as well as they do on a computer and are compatible with a mix of counsel and PC on the same server.

Graphics...That's It

Crimson Skies is not worth a penny. While the graphics are fairly good, the game itself sucks. You never step out of the airplane and the game is difficult from the beginning. This game is unfairly difficult and will easily make even the most patient gamers frustrated. The game gets old after only a few minutes and nothing new changes in the game except locations. All missions are relatively the same and this game provides no lasting entertainment. I would highly suggest not buying this game. Believe me, this game is NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.

this game is really awesome. pick any of the 10 planes that they offer. weapons include tesla cannons, missles(alot of different kinds), autocannons, and more. during multi play u can even get out of your plane and get in an anti aircraft turret. what im trying to say is that the multipayer aspect of this game is going to be really good. think of it as mechassault or Halo with wings. see u online. out
