If you only buy one game for your PS2, make it this one

This game eclipses the THPS series in almost every category. The environments look like the real thing, and the frame rate is smooth at all times. The layout in career mode lends itself to mutliple attempts at the many different goals and gaps. You may find yourself trying one goal for a long time. However, the experience is far less frustrating that in many of Activision's previous extreme titles.

The gameplay is superb. Players can use a multitude of techniques to get high scores and complete goals. Activision has finally done away with time based level attempts, replacing the timer with a "Groove meter" that allows you more time as you pull of tricks and combos.

Riding the rails has never been as much fun as in Unleashed. Rail balance is much easier than in the THPS series. This allows players to explore the nicely arranged pipes and ridges without constantly falling off their grind. Trick lines are laid out beautifully. After learning a level, players will be able to string together long combos for big points.

This game is as fun as any game released on PS2 to date. The gameplay is addictive, and successful combos are as much fun to watch as they are to create.

Players not familiar with the THPS series may find this game somehwat difficult at first. It does include a short tutorial at the beginning of career mode. Most players will find that they will become better at the game within an hour, but it may take months of gameplay to truly unleash your wakeboarding potential.

Music in the game is acceptable, including artists ranging from George Thorogood to RL Burnside and Van Halen. I turned the music off after a couple of hours, and I suspect many gamers will do the same. I suggest to turn the music off, the sound effects up and bust out mad tricks to your own music collection.

This is one PS2 title that will spend more time in my machine than in its case.

i played the demo type on the Tony Hawk 4 game and i thought it sucked at first. but once i got the hang of it, it got really fun. I REALLY RECOMEND THIS GAME BECAUSE IT IS WAY BETTER THAN KELLY SLATER PRO SURFBOARDER!!! If u don't want to buy this game right away and want to try it out, rent, borrow , OR play the demo on THPS4!

Hey you've got to try this game. If you like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer, Shawn Palmer's Pro Snowboarder, and Dave Mirra's pro BMX then you would like this game. Its like the same controls to all these games. Its graphics are good, and the cheats are cool!!This game is real cool so you should test it at least! I rated this game a 5 star game because it is just sooo fun. Try It!!!!

I played this game on THPS4 and automaticly i loved this game. I honsetly couldnt put it down. And its only a demo!!! I would buy THPS4 just for this demo. If you love a good sports game, go out and get this when it comes out. I know I will.
The graphics on the game are great. And I wakeboard personaly as a hobbie so i know weather its a good image of what the sport is like or not, and this deffinetly is. At first you will fall a lot but you will get the feel for it. Go out and get this game as soon as you can!!

i am a wakeboarder my self and this game rocks...could b more realistic..its veeery addicting funnest game ever could be more challenging and something it really needed was create a wakeboarder otherwise the game is perfect

This game is way better than I thoght it was. this game is so realistic I really reccomend this to everyone even if u havent wake boarded cause I havent. if ur playing two player one player driving and the other wake boards. kinda cool. the graphics are sooo realistic the gameplay is soo fun if I had to choose outta gta vice ciy and wake boarding unleashed.....DUHHHH wake boarding. but to make sure u like the game rent first then buy.just to make sure u like the game.

Just like real wakeboarding, except not at all.
