I played COD2 in multiplayer alot and although i do miss the snowy russian maps the multiplayer for COD3 is by far the best multiplayer to come along in a long time. I havent really even played the game in stand alone mode but i look forward to being the canadian and the polish soldiers. If you buy this and do not play on 360 live you will not get the full magnitude of its greatness.
DON'T PASS ON THIS ONE!!!

IF you havent experienced any of the call of duty series, you havent experience war games at their best. A step above and beyond the linear gameplay from call of duty 2. You controll several soldiers from diferent countries all fighting their way to freedom from the NAZI party. The ability to controll tanks and drive jeeps definately took this game up into the ranks of legendary games like Halo.
The online feature is very unique. Huge worlds filled with endless other players. You can be one of 7 figures in a multiplayer game. Anything from a soldier, scout, Medic, or explosive expert to name a few.
I would definately recomend this game to anyone who hasnt experienced it yet and needs a break from Call of Duty 4.
Wonderful world war fun

Excellent game, realistic aiming and lots of interaction as well as a small but spicy plot, multiplayer is a blast as well, whether playing with a friend or online with many options as far as game play and weapons!
Fun gameplay amidst frustration

The actual gameplay is a lot of fun on here. however, the problem is the long and drawn out cinematics. you can't skip them, no matter how many times you've played the game. you just have to sit helplessly as they drone on and on. there are also a few glitchy places where you can get stuck, only being able to turn around in a circle but not actually walk anywhere. that forces you to start over and....watch the cinematics again!
Entertaining and Intense but could be better

Overall this a really fun game. The graphics are great and the music and sound effects are even better. The destructive environment is also really cool. It's about as close as you can get to war without actually enlisting.
However there are a few reasons why I didn't give it five stars...
1. I felt there should have been more strategy. You really just shoot germans and try not to get shot. It would have been better if your missions were a little more strategic...maybe protecting a soldier or a rescue mission..something along those lines.
2. The way you get shot is not very realistic. You can get shot a hundred times but you won't die as long as you aren't shot in sucsession If you take a couple shots it says "find cover before taking more damage", then you rest for a few seconds and you are good as new
3. One other small thing that is a little annoying is that you can't skip the cut scenes even if you have already seen it.
But overall it was definitly a good buy and enjoyable to play.
Good but not awesome

The condition and shipping speed were great.. Theirs nothing wrong with the seller highly reccomended.. The product was a let down though.. The first two were awesome for pc.. But this game is a major let down if you've played Call of Duty 4.. But all in all its got good multi-player.. The vehicles are stupid as they dont take damage when you fall off a cliff or collide into a wall or another vehicle..
ITS the best game in the world

I really love the single player. Online play is fun, but slowing since Call of Duty 4 has come out. Still recommended for $20 or less, fun war game.
Along the same lines as Call of Duty 2

Part 3 is a fine continuation of the franchise. I prefer playing first person shooters with a keyboard and mouse, but since this game is only available for consoles you have to embrace the awkward manipulation of the game via the 360 controller.
Online play is awesome.
An entirely different World War II game...

...compared to Call of Duty 2.
Where another user called Call of Duty 3 a big expansion pack of Call of Duty 2, I see it as not only another game, but another series altogether. This is due probably to the change in companies who produced the game.
Compared to Call of Duty 2, COD3 feels like it comes from a different franchise. About the only similarities with the original are the same controls, map, and grenade detection. The graphics are neither superior nor inferior to Call of Duty 2, but the weapons are completely re-done, and have new sounds to them altogether.
The missions do feel less stimulating, focused more on following the obvious terrain design to go and kill more Nazis, and occasionally get into contests over your rifle with them, in which you must press buttons back and forth to overpower them.
Multiplayer is much more frustrating here than in COD2, as a new weapon can be picked, a rocket launcher, and vehicles can be used. This leads to people immediately going for tanks, and proceeding to make the map hell on others either not quick enough to destroy the tanks, or feel that a game based on infantry battles should maybe be fought with infantry, and not exclusively in tanks.
Also adding to multiplayer difficulty is the new sniper scope. Some of the positive reviewers complain that the sniper scopes in Call of Duty 2 make the sniper rifle into something of a superweapon, with flawless aim and one-hit kills. I disagree entirely in that while it is easy to master, it's also easy to counter, and Call of Duty 3 disrupts this balance by not retaining the old sniper scope system, and not bothering to design a new sniper scope system. Instead, they retain the same sniper scope for ALL sniper rifles, and make it so not only does it wobble far more than in Call of Duty 2, but after letting out your breath from holding it in, your scope flies wildly out of place for no real reason, and takes a moment to re-align.
On a plus side, rather than dwell in the same territory as other World War II games, you get to play as Polish and Canadian troops.
