Burnout Revenge for XBOX 360 is nothing much more than a prettier remake version of the same game for PS2 and XBOX,yet its still a really entertaining car destruction game. This the fifth installement in the Burnout series and its just as good as the other titles in the serie,it ain`t the best but its pretty good, especially if you have an XBOX 360 you will be able to experience better graphics.Other than that Revenge is a pretty good game that will last for a good time. As you probably know by now Burnout ain`t unlike any other racer, you have to make takedowns wich means taking down the other cars around you by doing that you will get nitro or boost that will make you go faster. That is the essense of Burnout but its a fast high impact destruction and crashing game that everyone should love instantly. If you don`t like racing games, its just fine as I ain`t a fan of racers myself, this is all about killing every one and getting a good laugh about it.
Burnout is really a multiplayer game as its just way more fun playing with friends in all the types of races the game has to offer wich is a lot! There are races, crashes objectives, road rage, world crash tour and just so much,i don`t remember all but I can assure you there lots of different things that you can do and a great variety of races types.
The XBOX achievements are incredibly tough to get in this game! Most of them are to be done online and are things like win 50 races in a row, really hard things.I think the publisher made them a little too hard to achieve! The ones in the game will take some effort too as none of those achievements comes easy. Also there are a lot of unlockables as there is more than 79 unlockable cars,a bunch of trophies, levels, maps and the achievements are also really tought to get.Along with the online play this game will keep you entertained for a long time as there is just so much to do!On that department its very good,it has great replay value.
Even if this addition to the Burnout series doesn`t have much new things it still has better graphics and a great online play on the XBOX 360.Online the game allows you to download videos and make videos also and challenge opponents to be the best on the XBOX Live board. In overral online is pretty solid and worthy of playing. The next Burnout game is coming around 2008 and will be a revolution in the world of Burnout, for now you can still enjoy this excellent game that is Burnout Revenge.Nothing bad about the game except that it starts to get old after 5 games but still a great Burnout game that will keep you playing for a good while.Recommended to Burnout fans,4 stars.

This game concept is absolute fury and chaos. The game is fast-paced and exciting and the simple arcade controls are easy for any novice to pick up. Its crazy single player mode and online play make it a great game to play with a friend. Get ready for sparks, burnt rubber, and twisted metal!
One thing that I should note is that to really play this game with skill, you'll need better video quality than composite video will give you. I've had a lot of problems at friends' houses with just being unable to discern things at a distance.

I ended up picking this game up from a Gamestop since I wanted it right away. I had played it with my friend on his PlayStation2 but we had only rented it and we didn't have many options for the multiplayer. I started playing it and I have been having a blast with it. It's fun to work your way up the rankings and even though you drive a lot of the same places, there are all different sorts of races and takedowns and just slamming into trafic and causing accidents. I love finding new shortcuts and seeing that red tint and the screen shows the slow motion crash when one of those other meanies take me down and I go after my revenge. I think it lets loose what a lot of us would like to do when you're just stuck in trafic on the bridge, just hit the boost and bash through them all. I'm having a great time and playing with my friends is just as good as well. I would recommend this game for sure it's great and it doesn't seem to get boring.
Excellent (And Destructive) Racing Title for the 360

Upon receiving "Burnout Revenge" I was skeptical. This was mainly due to the fact that all the racing games I had played in the past were fairly similar and followed a formula (except for exceptional series' such as NFS and PGR.) I was very wrong to doubt this game. It is quite simply one of the best racing games I've ever played. It's not particularly involving (the level of customizability is very low and the complexities of moves and controls are few.) However it is one of the few racing games out there that let's you smash other cars to bits, leaving them in raging flames. Many of the racing modes focus on "takedowns" "road rage" and "traffic attacks," creating a much more over the top, wild, crazy experience that tired gamers will find refreshing and addictive.
If you are a fan of unique, excellent racing games, and own a 360, I highly reccomend you add "Burnout Revenge" to your collection.
Not as good as the older "Takedown"

I have been playing Burnout for awhile now. I was excited to see what the new Burnout Revenge had to offer, for my new Xbox 360. But almost immediately, I started to be disappointed about some of the changes the game's makers have made.
Don't get me wrong. Burnout is still an awesome good time. And the graphics in this version are killer.
When you'd wreck in the older version, it would say funny things like "Fender bender", "Fly boy bonus", "Damn Van", etc. That's all gone in this version. When you crash somebody off the road now, instead you just watch them crash on your screen, instead of driving. After they are done crashing you are placed back into traffic wherever the computer wants! It's almost like after you die. In fact, at first, when I got takedowns, I thought I was crashing! It's almost the same thing. Pretty weak, if you ask me. I like to keep my eye on the road and race where I want to go. Sometimes, the computer puts you somewhere that you don't want to be! Especially if you are racing the tracks in reverse. Major letdown for game play.
Finally the track design in Burnout Revenge also contributes to the game's problems. My opinion is, if you want to really focus on racing, then the tracks need to be a little less complex, and fraught with peril. When you crash 5 times in a lap, there is no way to be competitive, and it becomes not-fun. There are all kinds of solid obstacles placed everywhere in your path, and along the edges of the road, not to mention lots of head-on traffic, all of which adds up to, you can't get your speed on.

If you like the other burnout games you'll love this one. Were the other games if you bumped a car you wreck and start all over. This game the more cars you hit the more points you get and the only way you can wreck is head on colligation which are rare. It much easier but still challenging, even if you hate the other burnouts games, this one is much better and worth the try.
It really is fun trying to wreck on purpose and the kids like that they are able to get through the race on the 1st try. Were in the old game they'd have to do it a couple times before getting at least 3rd place.

Yes, I must admit, sometimes seeing how big of a wreck you can make is fun, but this is mindless. The graphics aren't what they are often described as - they only look good because there are so many colors and lights and lines, and you're moving so fast that sometimes you sort of forget about the graphics. Racing isn't so bad, but I have never been satisfied with closed-course racing. When you do a takedown, the camera looks back at the car you just totaled and plays it in slow-motion. Then, all of a sudden, you're back to racing. This happens so quickly you don't have time to react...and then you watch yourself smash into a wall. And this game is so unrealistic - you run into a semi-truck and it goes flying into the air and you never see it again. Obviously, everyone has a different opinion on this game, but if I were you, I would rent it before I spent my money on it.
A blast to play! Great looking as well

I've had this game for a while now and I find it a blast to play. It's basically everything that you shouldn't do on the roads and can't do.
Being a little older and having to deal with the daily to and from work driving I like the fact that I can go home and take out my aggresion fron the daily drives on the other cars in this game. Check them into the walls, rails, ditches, whatever to get the points and so on. I like how some of the achievement you actually have to land on top of the cars and all kinds of crazy stuff. There is also the revenge aspect were if someone hits you then you get extra points for getting them back.
If you are thinking of getting this for your kid/teenager, probably not a good idea unless you make sure that you explain that this is only a game and nothing done in it should ever be considered for actual actions on the roads/streets.
