Crash and Burn...

Burnout Revenge is an okay game. One of the best features of the game is the ability to play "Crash" into other cars to rake in damages in dollar. It is also a blend of racing and crashing when you play the world tour mode. The graphics arn't too bad and very typical of early next gen games. It is a fun game to play with others and get each other mad taking the other people out.
Some drawbacks are the loading times when you play online...especially when playing the Party Crash or crash type games. Another one was the lack of good cars. By this I mean it would be great to have "real" brand name cars to play in the game instead of generic cars, trucks and other vechicles. Again, they might not be licensed to have brand name cars, but it would of been cool if EA had it just like Need for Speed Most Wanted.
Other than that the game might not be worth a buyer, but surely worth a renter to try out...just make sure to sit tight and follow your driving instructor's advice.
Great game

Burnout Revenge is a blast. It encourages you to crash into your opponents instead of avoiding them like in normal race games. The racing and rage are 2 good multiplayer games. Only issue is when you take someone out, the game shows their wreck too long and when you get back to your view, you can be in trouble about to crash. One minor thing on a great game.
Great Family Game

We all love this game, ranging in age from age 3 to 44. Challenging but still "do-able". No blood or gore but lots of cool crashes and explosions! Buy it, it's fun!
If you slow down to see a car wrech, you'll never turn away from this game

I played Burnout 3 Takedown on the PS2 all the way through and had a blast. All the modes are back for this one but a tad different. EA went to make this a very graphics based game. In doing so they made the way the cars crash very realistic. However, I feel the game doesn't look as bright or colorful, as the last game, almost like the sun never comes out from behind the clouds. This game is best on the Xbox360 just for that reason so you are able to see it in all HD glory.
The introduction of Revenge Rivalry is a great ploy and takes it further from BO3T. Before you could just knock people off the road, now they take it personally and REMEMBER... This is awesome online as your human opponents now track who they beat and who has beaten them.
The Crashs Are Back!! Best mode of the game, using your car as a weapon to take out traffic and cause the biggest pileup. EA took this one step further and added "Traffic Attack" mode which lets you crash same-way traffic on the streets. They also expanded Crash mode with multiple Crash Breakers... However, they removed the crash icons that used to be in BO3T!! I remember so many times trying so hard to get those icons, but I guess they compromised for more crash breakers...
In the end...
Pros:
-Great game
-Cheap now, less than $30
-Online play on XboxLive rocks!!
-Crashes, crashes, crashes
Cons:
-Darker game, colors less bright
-No more crash icons
Worth buying - even if you've got the Xbox version

I was unsure weather I should get the 360 version of Burnout Revenge. After all, I own the Xbox version which is awesome. But the game's recent price drop had me hankering for Hidef burnout action and so I caved.
So does the 360 version warrant a new purchase? In a word, almost. If you loved B:R on the 360 then yes, yes, yes - go get it. However, it's not a massive leap in either graphics or game so don't expect a mind blowing upgrade. PC gamers know what it's like when you upgrade your graphics card - everything's cleaner, at a better resolution and there's some new things to look at but really it's the same game with a fancier wrapper and that's true with B:R 360.
Why 5 stars then? Well it's just this game is so ruddy fun, and the Criterion guys have even removed some of the tiny niggles I had with the original version that kept that from being a 5 star game.
So - onto noticeable differences - better graphics sure, but the original was pretty damn good. There's a lot more particles and crash, flame effects for a start. Crashbreaker is like a nuke! And there's also a lot more objects that are scattered around for you to hit (tables, drums, cones etc). But mainly, aside from the higher rez, it looks like a polished xbox game. Some depth of field blurring would be nice as well as less 'bloom' which plaque all 360 games. The sense of speed is considerably greater though -wow!
Gameplay it's been tweaked subtly in all departments. Good players who whizzed through the game may be pleased to hear getting takedowns are much more difficult to get and some strategy and timing is required. This is a good thing. Crash mode has lost that stupid power bar so no more exploding on the start line. It still has the silly tap, tap, tap B for crashbreaker which is annoying but maybe that'll go in the next release. Checking the traffic seems to have more impact on your speed but the cars have more effect on your opponents, which again is good and helps when planning your line. Car control is improved; good for getting those aftertouch takedowns.
By far the biggest update is a proper camera replay! Yes - harking back to the days of Burnout 2, you can now see an entire race on replay. Or view the crash mode from any angle. You can even save 30 seconds of any mode to the 360 and share it online. Fantastic! This is a big leap and is very welcome.
Everything else is more or less the same - same ladder system, same excellent crash reward trophy anims (except now they look even better), same tunes.
All in all this is an almost perfect arcade racer. It's amazing to look at, fun the play, easy for the beginner, challenging for the expert. I really love it - and so will you!
definently worth 5 stars

this game is just amazing. the graphics are great because of the next generation high definition that the xbox 360 offers
i find that the world tour is a little short but when you finish you can just go on xbox live and compete.
for 40$ this game is a definate buy and even if it was 70 you should definently pick it up. this game is the best racing game on the xbox 360.
your xbox 360 collection is not complete if you dont have burnout
great game. go pick it up

Burnout Revenge for XBOX 360 is nothing much more than a prettier remake version of the same game for PS2 and XBOX,yet its still a really entertaining car destruction game. This the fifth installement in the Burnout series and its just as good as the other titles in the serie,it ain`t the best but its pretty good, especially if you have an XBOX 360 you will be able to experience better graphics.Other than that Revenge is a pretty good game that will last for a good time. As you probably know by now Burnout ain`t unlike any other racer, you have to make takedowns wich means taking down the other cars around you by doing that you will get nitro or boost that will make you go faster. That is the essense of Burnout but its a fast high impact destruction and crashing game that everyone should love instantly. If you don`t like racing games, its just fine as I ain`t a fan of racers myself, this is all about killing every one and getting a good laugh about it.
Burnout is really a multiplayer game as its just way more fun playing with friends in all the types of races the game has to offer wich is a lot! There are races, crashes objectives, road rage, world crash tour and just so much,i don`t remember all but I can assure you there lots of different things that you can do and a great variety of races types.
The XBOX achievements are incredibly tough to get in this game! Most of them are to be done online and are things like win 50 races in a row, really hard things.I think the publisher made them a little too hard to achieve! The ones in the game will take some effort too as none of those achievements comes easy. Also there are a lot of unlockables as there is more than 79 unlockable cars,a bunch of trophies, levels, maps and the achievements are also really tought to get.Along with the online play this game will keep you entertained for a long time as there is just so much to do!On that department its very good,it has great replay value.
Even if this addition to the Burnout series doesn`t have much new things it still has better graphics and a great online play on the XBOX 360.Online the game allows you to download videos and make videos also and challenge opponents to be the best on the XBOX Live board. In overral online is pretty solid and worthy of playing. The next Burnout game is coming around 2008 and will be a revolution in the world of Burnout, for now you can still enjoy this excellent game that is Burnout Revenge.Nothing bad about the game except that it starts to get old after 5 games but still a great Burnout game that will keep you playing for a good while.Recommended to Burnout fans,4 stars.
A blast to play! Great looking as well

I've had this game for a while now and I find it a blast to play. It's basically everything that you shouldn't do on the roads and can't do.
Being a little older and having to deal with the daily to and from work driving I like the fact that I can go home and take out my aggresion fron the daily drives on the other cars in this game. Check them into the walls, rails, ditches, whatever to get the points and so on. I like how some of the achievement you actually have to land on top of the cars and all kinds of crazy stuff. There is also the revenge aspect were if someone hits you then you get extra points for getting them back.
If you are thinking of getting this for your kid/teenager, probably not a good idea unless you make sure that you explain that this is only a game and nothing done in it should ever be considered for actual actions on the roads/streets.

This is a racing game where you can crash and come back again. It came with my version of the X box 360- I thought it was some generic no name game but this game is popular. Simulate speeds over 150 miles per hour. Unlock extra content.
Fun on top of Awesome on top of Thrilling!

This game... Is sooooo fun; "HOW FUN IS IT?" It's sooo fun that writing these reviews actually bring down the fun value because we have to waste time to write the review telling everyone else how fun this game is thus taking away from the fun we could be having playing this fun game!
LMAO
SMASH CRASH BASH BASH SCRMBASH!!!!!!
This and the steering wheel(I use the MC2)enhanced my marriage (my wife won't let me get my turn) And brought a higher level of fun to the racing genre.
The features are beautiful, the graphics are delicious and the music, if you don't like whats on the disc you can play with your own traxx loaded on your 360 or steamed from your computer! Man-Ooooo-MAN that's HOTTT!
Your favorite tunes while knocking the Slow-Poke, Cellphone Using, Not Paying Attention to the Road, Won't Move Out of the Left Lane, MORON, Idiot drivers off the road... (clears throat) And then take out the other racers who are trying to take you out and get to where you're trying to get to before you! OOOOOHHHH NO YOU DON'T..... (@_@)uhmmmm
Anyway, whether for X or 360 this game is a must get...
(Regains Composure)
I'm going back to play now.
