Hi! Me again. I'm here to tell you what i think about Tamagotchi connection: Corner shop!

***Intro***
I played this and beat it in about 1 day! It's pretty easy (even though the stores really aren't meant to be hard)! But even though I beat it in a VERY short period of time, it's still
pretty fun! I think they should've added a barber, but it's really fun as it is!

***Gameplay***
Difficulty: medium
It's a little tough to learn how to play but you eventually get it! Gameplay is a little rough on the touch screen but you can easilly fix that by getting a screen protector at the nearest mall!

***Sound***
Catchy and fun! The music is really fun to listen to and it also is a good selection to get to work with!

***Graphics***
Hand drawn and really unique! All the characters look weird and that's why I like them!

***Overall***
This game is really fun and a great time-waster! You should really get this game if you've ever wanted to own a store and work with your favorite tamagotchis!

***Ratings***

Gameplay: 9/10
Sound: 8/10
Graphics: 7/10
Overall: 9/10

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my review! See ya later!

ok, dont laugh at me but until this game i never heard of Tamagotchi. When i found this game on gamespot.com it looked cute and fun. and the dentist part had me going. As you know, i bought it! and i love it, it is so fun. here are all the stores: dentist, bakery, beauty salon, tokoyaki shop, spa, flower shop, cleaners, music club, accessory shop, dental salon, and the florist jeweler. the dentist is very fun. a costumer comes in and your parten greets and asks them what's wrong. after that thye come to you and the game will NOT teach you how to play. but its easy to learn. you drill the teeth with the X on it. than a little cavity runs around and you have to catch it with your twizzer. than you put cotton that is the right collor on the tooth and you brush it clean. sometime when the costumer is eally crying, you can give it a shot. and than you get scored and paid. in the bakery you make cakes, costumers will show a model of the cake on the top screen and you must put that design on the cake. either its cutting the cake, putting iceing or frosting or decoration on it or all. the tokoyaki is hard to explain but i will try. you have to make little ( as i call them ) pizza balls. you put oil on the pan, put the flour and make it puff, make a hole in it, add onions, giner tomatoes i think and than cut is. put all the ingredients through the hole with the pik and drop it in the bowl than you put sauce on it. fish sticks thing? and another sauce and your done! than there is the flower place where you make flowers under the costumers damand or so. the cleaners is simple. put the right color of detergend (srry for spelling ) and than spin the washer than iron it out or sew disgn on it. i will leave the rest a suprise bc i have not even unlocked them. tamagotchi is a great game! dont listen to people who tell you other wise!

I find it FUN and kinda EDUCATIONAL ...

I've always been a fan of tamagotchis since they first came on in the pocket virtual pet version but this game has it's goods and bads. The Good parts are you get to interact more with your tamagotchi by running stores together. Some of the tamagotchi stores are hard to run like the music concert and cake decorating shops. I have trouble with those. The Bad parts ... it's easy to finish this game. They should of thrown in a virtual pet mode so you can do the old fashioned raising your Tamagotchi. It'd be cool to continue running the store as your tamagotchi grows older. But I'd have to agree with the previous reviewer the price should of been something like $19.99 it's not quite worth $29.99 BUT .... if you decide to just go for it and buy it you won't be too disappointed. I purchased Wario Ware Touched with this game. Now that's a game I'm disappointed in. I play this more than that and that price is outrageous.

Ridiculous? Yes! And that's why I love it!

Tamagotchi Connection:Corner Shop is pretty much an extensive, interactive matching game, and honestly, I have no gripes or complaints at all. The game is wholesome, cheerful, and funny. If you're a fan of Animal Crossing: Wild World, (or Hello Kitty, for that matter) you will probably like this game too, even if you weren't a member of the widespread panic that was the Tamagotchi and Giga-pet years most of us will remember from middle school or even high school. I find that this game is very good stress relief, and I often play it during my break or on my lunch hour at work. For those of you with fond memories of accidentally killing your Tamagotchi, no worries, because you don't have to take care of them, but they do ask you to perform tasks such as decorating cakes, cleaning teeth, washing clothes, and preparing food. Just think of this game as a very surreal trip into the world of public service.

It doesn't seem fun when you think about it, I know, but the way that you carry out these tasks is not only creative but incredibly charming, and it's so gosh darn cute, you probably won't be able to play it without giggling a little. As an example, when working at the Cleaners, you receive a soiled item of clothing; first you choose the matching color detergent, then you operate the washing machine by dragging the stylus in a circular motion, and proceed to iron out the wrinkles, remove stains, or cover holes with applique of corresponding shapes. Other tasks in the game range in the number of steps to completion and "difficulty." For fans of Parappa the Rapper, there is even a game where you tap the corresponding instrument in time to the music. As for the dental shop, well, you'll be jealous of how easy it is to get your teeth fixed in the Tamagotchi world.

The game is funny, contextually as well as literally, but it might take an alternative sense of humor to pick up on it. I find that the characters themselves are hilarious just by design. The translation of the dialogue from Japanese to English is a little stiff, but not distracting, and you will probably like the game more overall if you are a just a bit familiar with Japanese culture--two of the shops are straight out of Japan, one being an octopus-dumpling shop and the other a hot spring.

At first glance it seems like a game for very young children, but I think that kids under the age of five or six might find it somewhat difficult to play, or at least tedious, as it is obviously very repeditive. I don't think there is a real target age group but rather an interest group. Kids from 8 to 12 will probably like it without much exposure to the Tamagotchi fad, but it is most easily enjoyable for anybody who's old enough to remember Tamagotchis for the absurd phenomenon that they were--especially if you owned one. It is very easy to play and although it doesn't exactly keep you glued to the DS for hours and hours, or days at a time (which I think is a good thing), it's an enjoyable game and worth the money if you're open-minded and looking for an alternative to the same-old same-old, which is what the DS is all about, really.

Very Cute

I saw this game advertised in a magazine and thought it looked cute. I was wondering before I got the game if it's like the actual Tamogotchi where if you don't take care of it it will die. I saw it and dicided to buy it. Once I started playing I couldn't stop! I love it because it's a game full of 11 mini-games. The mini-games are much more advanced than say Pac-Man. Don't get me wrong I love Pac-Man but I love this more. It's worth the money! (You have to get through 3 levels of a store before you can open another one.)

BEST GAME EVER

this is the best game ever. it is fun, educational, and just plain GREAT! those who say this game is boring is because they dont share the love for tamagotchis. they just think everything is too easy. personally, my favorite part is the takoyaki. it challenges the player. i wont tell you how to make the octopus dumplings because i see that others have already done that. thanks for reading my review. feel free to respond (to respond, write "to tamagotchi lover" in the title for the review) thanks again!

Awesome game!!!!!!!!

This is one of my all time favorite ds games! You get to see and manage all the shops and earn new ones, take care of your tamagatchi by earning money from the shops and you get to show your personality at the same time while its a whole lot of fun! This is not a waist of your money at all and I reccomend it highly.

Wait For the Price to Come Down!

Admittedly, I am just a "big kid". I try to keep up on things with my kids and their new thing was the V3 Tamagotchi. So when I saw this, I was very excited. When it finally came out, we ran to the store to grab it. It's fun for about 15 mins then it becomes VERY repetitious. My hand actually got tired from using the stylus. Kids under the age of 10 will become bored after 6 customers. (As the game increases, so do the customers and their requests each take about 3 minutes. Try serving 20+ customers in a row.) :( Kids 11 and over, don't even bother.

Also would be a good idea to get some kind of screen protection because ONLY the stylus is used, and it's used A LOT! I bought a package from Penguin that had screen protectors and cases for about $19, good investment.

It's a cute game, but wait until it comes WAY DOWN in price. Perhaps Christmas time?
