Ping Pals was one of the first games out for the DS, but yet it still stands as one of the best titles the system has to offer. What you basically get is the cool Pictochat software, but SO MUCH BETTER! In Pictochat it just says your name before what you say, in Ping Pals you get to choose a cool avatar and dress it up and everything! Nintendo saw how cool this was and stole the idea for the Mii channel on the Wii. You can also choose cool fonts and colors for your writing and draw some pretty neato pictures! One time me and my friend got in a fight so I sent him a picture of an ugly funny face and wrote "YOU" with an arrow pointing to his face. It was hilarious! Bottom line, if you own a DS, you must own Ping Pals!

A Must Buy For Lively Chatters!

I LOVED this game! It was well done. As I walked into EB, I thought this would be a bad game. I was SOOOOOOOO wrong

At first sight, this looks like a cartoony vesion of PictoChat. Well, It's a cartoony, FUN version of PictoChat.

You can chat, play games, and shop for clothes for your Avatar.

Multiplayer is it's strongest point, though. You can chat with up to 8 people at once (with download, too), and you can buy stuff for others for your Avatar.

All in all, if you own a DS, and you think PictoCHat is too boring, RUN, don't walk, to your local video game store!

This game is pretty fun. The outfits are pretty neat (although I can't find many outfits to buy for girls) and it's even fun when you have to play by yourself. It has a sort of game called solo chat. it'll hook you up a conversation with a stranger who's not real. Also, the items in the store sometimes changes and it's easy to get coins!

Good Game!

I've never played this game myself, but my friend loves it. She enjoyed all the mini games and chatting with people. I think she would give it 4 stars, though, because it isn't really a game, and there are funner games for the nintendo ds.

Only fun with others who own it

I bought it and played it for a while, but the games get repedative. There are games you can send to another DS, but your friend will show up as a default generic character. Unless you know someone else with the game all the trading of outfits and items isn't even an option. It's really cheap most places, so if you buy it for yourself, buy a 2nd copy for a friend. I ended up selling it.

Fun...at first.

When you first get the game, it seems really fun, and it is for the first three weeks. You're thrilled by the mini-games, and you go wild when you get your allowance, but when you really get your avatar how you want it to look, there's really no point unless you have several friends that have this game. If you do, great fun, but if you don't, you can't play two of the mini-games. My advice: either get it as cheap as possible with no intention to keep it for more that a month, or make a friend get it with you.

No clue!

Ping Pals is a game for nintendo DS. It is pretty fun, although without a friend it can be very boring:( On Ping Pals there is a little window in the upper left hand corner with your name and the person you have on Ping Pals. It knows your name because you have programmed it into your DS. Anyways, you start out with some items like hair, clothes, and facial items. You can sell your items and/or buy new ones. There are also some games, like Top Ten and Hi-Lo. You can earn money by playing them. There is also a game called Solo Chat, but that isn't really fun because all you can type is either yes or no otherwise the computer character you are talking will say, "I don't understand!" Even if you type "Yes, of course!" or yes with an exlamation point or period the computer character will STILL get confused. If you want to buy this game, I'd buy one used or not buy one at all. It is pretty fun, but it's not the best.
