Phoenix Wright: Fun for All

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney - Justice for All is an awesome game. Who would have guessed a game where your a lawyer would be fun? The storylines are gripping, the gameplay is solid and the mix of comedy, drama and action makes this game a must have. Capcom did a great job on this one!

If you liked "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" you'll like the sequel

Game play is almost identical to the first game, with the exception of the new "psyche-lock" feature that requires you to present evidence when questioning people to find secrets they hide. The game has some great new cases that are both funny and suspenseful, and the psyche-lock adds an interesting new challenge to the game.

The only disappointing part about the game is that unlike the first game, there is no "bonus case" designed specifically for the DS. Instead it's just a straight GBA port, which is unfortunate because the bonus stage was definitely the most innovative and fun to play in the original. Still, if you enjoyed the first game, you'll enjoy this one.

Just as good as the first!

This game is great. There is a clear cut path to all the cases, but you can easily get stuck on them. A must have for anyone who enjoyed the other Phoenix Wright games.

#2 is just as good as #1

This is the same as the first game, but with Psyche-Locks. Also, you can present character profiles as evidence, which comes in handy in certain situations. Downside is, like the first, once you beat, there's not much reason to play through it again. But still, its very fun.

i'm in love!

I absolutely can not stress how brilliant this game is. I have the first Phoenix Wright and fell in love with that game, and i bought the 2nd and wondered if it would be as good as the 1st since it didn't have 5 cases and only 4. I didn't need to worry, it's just as brilliant. The cases last long too, although the first was quite short the rest werent. And the last one was my favourite, just when you thought it was all over, some new twist would happen to truly shock you and leave you playing for a while yet. All the cases were superbly written, and oh so clever.

New characters like Maya's cousin Pearl and Proscecuter Franziska Von Karma, are brilliant additions. And it's the silly things in the game that make it brilliant too, like Von Karma's desire for whipping everyone in court. You wouldn't get that in real life, but it doesn't matter because it's so great and funny. And old faces like Detective Gumshoe, who is always hilarious, and the handsome Miles Edgeworth well they are great. And yes, I just called a computer character handsome but he is!

This game makes you feel like you are there and you truly begin to care about the characters and it feels like a little family, everyone cares for each other. Some people might call this sad, but who cares. I just love this game so much, i'm gonna play the 1st all over again. I can't wait for the third Phoenix Wright, but that's a while off yet in the U.K

Please buy this game, your life will be so much better for it!

Take That!

I've played both "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" as well as it's sequel, "Justice for All" and they are both excellent games. I don't think I ever tired of seeing Phoenix point and yell, "Objection!" or Miles Edgeworth slamming one hand on the Prosecutor's bench. Franziska von Karma definitely has unique methods of justice as well. The storyline really keeps the game moving along and I played it for hours at a time. The style of the game really does force you to pay attention to what is being said by any and all of the characters. The music is great, too, although I liked the tunes in the first game a bit better.

I know that other reviewers have commented on the lack of utilization of the DS's special features, but these games are in fact remakes from those originally realeased in Japan on the Game Boy Advance. Also, Case #5 in the first game does bring in some more of the DS's touch screen and mic ability and I read that it was specifically added to do so. That is why if you follow the storyline, the beginning of "Justice for All" doesn't quite match up to the end of "Ace Attorney" but that's ok. I still enjoyed it anyway. In Japan, they will soon be releasing what is I believed the sixth in the Phoenix Wright series, and I think that game was truly designed for the DS console. It's really something to look forward too once we catch up here in the U.S.

As far as the quirks in the legal system, this game does take place "in the future" and it is a mesh between current Japanese and American law, with some laws just made up for the sake of the game. Therefore, you can't look to it to learn about the legal system with any sort of accuracy. I suppose that is what my government lectures were for!

On a sad note, there were only four cases in this game (the first game having five) which was a bit of a disappointment but they were nonetheless quite entertaining. I highly recommend this game!

An awesome game but it lacks the innovation from the original. The psyche lock is a nice new feature and the cases are unique. Overall a blast fo play but fails to utilize the DS to it's full potential

I played this game for 8 hours straight one point. A linear game with a freakin awesome story. I loved yelling OBJECTION! into the mic.

More for anime fans then someone wanting an intricute court environment.

The issue isn't that it's not American enough, it's just you can't really work with much if you want to present evidence that the creators didn't want you to bring to the judge's attention.
