Excellent Game!

When I received this game, it looked as though it was brand new, never even been used (which I know could not have been the case). This game is so simple yet so much fun. My friends and I have a blast racing down the track and yelling at each other when we go off course. Definitely recommended for anyone. A rare find, very hard to get a hold of, glad I was able to snag a copy.

Go Excitebike!!

Well first of all, I own this game because I can play on my animal crossing for the gamecube. I don't have a nes, but I can play it, so I technically own it. This game is really fun. The screen starts out giving you a choice of "selection A, selection B", and "design". This game really doesen't have a plot. It's a racing game, but it's very unique, also the fact that it's a classic NES game makes it all the better. Selection A lets you choose 5 race tracks-from easy to hard. Selection B is exactly the same. However, once you start a race in selection B, other racers will be there as well as you. I find selection B annoying because if you bump into a racer (which happens ALOT) you fall down (there are numerous ways to fall down, once you do, press the B button repeadedly to get back up on your bike). However in selection A you are all alone. I usually do selection B for a challenge. And finnaly, there's design. Design is really fun. What happens is there will be a track with no obstacles on it. Your character will be on that track, but he will not be moving and you are not racing. If you press button A he will progress. Under this empty track there will be thick, black bar. In white letters it will have the whole alphabet in caps. To the right of that there will be a CL END and LP (delete a obstacle, finish the track, thus choosing how many laps). you select these characters with the control pad and if you press button B on a letter it will create and obstacle (depending on what you press) in front of your character. When you are done creating your level you can do it on selection A and B (I usually do selection A first so I can test it out, then I do selection B so the computers can get a taste of it :P). Unfortuanetly when you turn it off or reset your track shall go away (no worrys, it's still fun) however I heard in the NES version (the actual game itself, not the animal crossing one) you can save and load one track at a time. I am guessing that this is impossible in the animal crossing version because it has less memory than the nes one because on animal crossing, excitebike isn't the game itself (also to play NES games you need one memory block).

Now let's talk about the gameplay. On the selction screen, the select button is scroll through options and start button is execute. On a race track, up and down on the control pad make you go up and down (useful for evoiding obstacles, etc.). A button is move forward to the right (you cannot go backwards), and when you jump over an obstacle (it jumps automaticly) right on the control pad is push forward and left is pull back (however don't do these too much). Finnaly, the B button makes you go faster but if you hold it too long (you know when this happens, there will be a meter) your player must stop for a while. All in all it's a really fun racing game, unique and fun obstacles, nice character, great gameplay, and it's exiting :P ! If you want a good classic game, a cool racing game, or if your a little bored, and finnaly if you have a NES, you should get this!!
