I am a fan of Inuyasha. This is a great Rpg. Voice overs on the characters by the original actors. Good storyline. This is a traditional RPG. This game has all the main characters from the 3rd season except Kagome's family (see credits). You are able to make combo moves with another character depending on your friendship. This has a high replay value due to the numerous events and intervals. There is a New Game+ feature. This feature only increases your character levels to 30. The Bonus Menu keeps track of all the secrets you've uncovered in the game. No matter how many times you play the game, the Bonus Menu doesn't get erased. It is only erased when the file on your memory card gets deleted.

How do I get to Kasasagi town?

I can't seem to figure out how to get to Kasasagi. After meeting that guy in Kaede's village who says he saw you at the town of Kasasagi, I've headed out to the area that's supposed to be the road to Kasasagi, but it just seems to lead to a bunch of dead ends. I've found the hidden trail that appears on the screen where you start at the top of the screen and follow the path straight down and there's a squirl (or something) that crosses the path and leads to a side path that's hidden by the trees, but that just leads to a road that splits and one path leads north to one dead end and one leads south to another dead end. Can anyone tell me what to do?

Tedious, but not bad overall

First off, it's a pretty short game if you only play through the story. Now to review the actual game: You play as your own character, either a boy or a girl (you choose). At first, it's really fun, because you get to meet the characters and it's basically an exploration with some occassional fighting. Once you actually have to begin the big mission (finding Naraku and Utsugi), it get sooo tedious. As you travel along the roads, you have to watch out for purple clouds (they're demonic auras, and if you hit them, you MUST fight). Often, however, even if you manage to miss the purple clouds, you get sucked into a random battle, anyway. Especially in the castle. And, again, you MUST fight, for if you try to run away, the game freezes and you have to restart. It can be a real pain, because if you're trying to reach a destination only feet away, you may fight about 4 times before you get there. Other than random battles, the game is actually really pretty easy if you know how each character's battle techniques work. The bosses can be a pain, but if you are familiar with the strength of each character, and the fact that some characters can heal (Miroku, Kagome, your character), then it makes things so much easier.

The real fun of the game involves when you decide to take the day off. You can spend the day with any character of your choosing. And, depending on who you've spent more time with, that character will interact with you in its own little substory (I hung out with Sango while playing as the boy...you can guess what happened there).

All in all, this wasn't terrible. I enjoyed it when I didn't get into a million random battles in a row. It's not for those who have only about a half hour to play, because lord knows you'll need at least 2 hours just to clear a stage and save. But, this isn't too bad. It can be enjoyable.

If you like playing with your eyes closed...

The game play is lame. I have actually discovered that you can YOU CAN LITERALLY WIN MOST BATTLES WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED, PRESSING ONE BUTTON OVER AND OVER. Only the major climactic battles require any thought at all, let alone strategy. I am a fan of the TV series and I found the story to be intriguing and amusing at times, but much of the time it was pretty predictable. This game would be a total waste of money for anyone who is not a HUGE fan of the show.

O.k, this game is very, very easy, once you get past that stinkin' spider!! I know it's hard to find him, so here's how.
when you go get the key, go down the hall and look on the bottom of the screen for a sliding door. that's the door which is locked. use that key! you end up in a room with a cat and stairs going down. go down. walk down the hall to the last room. let the game take over from there. you'll get a scene with InuYasha. when that ends, go to the room at the top of the screen...the spider's in there. hope that helps!

This game is really one of those games that you want to break in half. There is about 25 hours of gameplay. The graphics are very very poor. Pathetic dialogue: For example: Monster says:" I will eat you!, girl says: oh no, your going to eat me. This game is also very easy. You have to go way out of your ways to lose this game. And the title, Secret of the cursed mask: Makes no sense, for one, there is no cursed mask, 2, the mask in the game plays no part in the storyline.During cut scenes, t=its nothing but a picture of the character talking moving his/her mouth up and down, not even matching the pathetic dalogue they say. They also reuse graphics over and over again, if you go past one area, by the way, the game uses segments as the map, meaning even more bad gameplay, all the segments repeat, confusing you. Spelling and grammar errors are also everywhere, and in the game, you can win accesorries, they are no use! The game is so darn easy you can beat it with shippo! ( Shippo is a small fox demon if your not a inu fan). Overall, its a horrible game, a total waste of money, dont buy!

I can't remember the last game I played that actually put me to sleep. It's not that bad of a game. With lack of a Japanese language option it takes a little getting use to the English Voice Actors. And at some point in the game you end up with all 6 characters in battle at once. a little easy for those hard-core RPGers (and a little annoying...they don't even all fit on the screen) the scenes are beautiful, but I think the characters could use a little work. I can only play it for about an hour at a time before I have to set it down in favor of something else to keep the day going. (Or I get the urge to watch the anime) I'm not thrilled with this game but I'm not disappointed with it either. It's going to take me a LONG time to complete it though.

It's really not a bad game, but remind me to play it only when it's close to bed time.
