this is one of the best role playing/adventure games ive ever played.and ive played alot trust me .if you dont belive me try it for your self. and if you like this game try the balders gate dark alliance games there just as fun!! youll find easy to kill bettles to angry bunches of wizzerds.THIS GAME ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good game, if you like the type. Even though this is like the countless amount of hack and slash RPG games out there this is still good. This game has typical graphics but great music and sound effects. Definately worth checking out, you'll spend quite a few hours playing this.

It was hard to find a multiplayer game that my husband liked. And I agree with him, that this game is great. We both like the graphics. But what we both really like are the controls to do action they are easy to function and remember. I recommend this game to people out there that aren't gamers, who just want a game to play that doesn't require you to remember three different patterns to execute a spell or fight squence.

First of all, I've read some of the comments on others reviews about how buggy the game is. Well, its not !! I never had any problem with it, the reason is cause I have a V9 PS2, prob a newer model than of what the ppl complaining own. Most ppl don't know this but this game is huge ! Its over the size of a single layer DVD (most PS2 games are under 4.7gb) thus it is one of the few DUAL LAYERERED PS2 games out there. So, it is known that some older PS2s have a hard time reading DL DVDs, therefore if you own an older PS2 try it out b4 buying.

Now to the game... I liked BG1 and BG2 but both games had the annoying arcade like jumping on floating platforms, etc. CoN does not. BG games also had very easy gameplay while fighting most mobs and really hard (near impossible) boss fights, CoN is not like that, regular mobs are smart and help each other, they know how to block and use skills when they can (you have to master blocking). Customization is a plus, items are also nice, like the Race selection and class selection. Did I mention it is huge ? BG games were a little small, CoN is not.

Now the flawn, the wizard. My main problem with the wizard on these games IMO is that it doesn't play like a pure wizard, a pure spell caster. Wizards are basically a weak fighter with some spell power. And now the main problem, they look like clowns... I mean they dont wear robes (I know why - they are difficult to implement sofware wise), they look like the wizards on Neverwinter nights, awful... Well, I wrote too much and its way too late.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

This is by far THE COOLEST GAME THAT I'VE EVER PLAYED.But..............if your going to buy this game dont buy the greatest hits version...it will freeze up on you... =)

Champion Amoung D&D based RPG's

This game is amazing. Based off of the strongly loved Baldur's Gate Engine this game offers more than most will ever imagine. With regenerating levels that allow for different challenges and maps each time the game is playe through to the nearly endles amounts of randomly generated items, over 100,000 in all and each of them look different from the last as well. Five races, and Five classes each with their own sex making game play truely unique everytime you play through the game. This D&D style RPG will raise the bar for all who love the series. Not to mention that there is no fee for playing online, and you don't need online support to play because you can either go single player or up two 3 other companions with a multitap and 4 controllers.
This is truely a prized piece and a must for any game lover.

And on a side note: Why is it that people give a good review but make 0 stars on the rating, common people if you liek the game honor it. Don't drag it down for those who simply look at the face value.

This game was awesome I was a little hesitate to buy the game at first but I decided what the hell the game cant suck that much but man was I wrong the game rocked.You can be over 5 classes and races and there is over 10,000 weapons and you can play it online with 3 other people or via multitap. If you were like me and wondered what the hell is via multitap it means there is no single player on this game only online or if you hook up ps2's but if you can do one of either prefer online then you will love this game so If you have the requirements then quit reading this and order the thing from the top dont worry you wont be dissappointed!!!!!!

WANT AN ONLINE ACTION RPG GAME????? THEN THIS IS FOR YOU!!! IF YOU ARE OVER THE AGE OF 13, GET THIS GAME AND PLAY IT! I HAVE A LEVEL 50 Character (HA HA) and ALL of my stamina,Dexterity,Strength, AND Intelligence to 999. I have beaten the game on adventerous and I"m PLAYING THE GAME ON Couragous RIGHT NOW!!! This game is so fun. I could barely put the controller down because i was so locked into it. The game has different characters you can use, there are Barbarians, who are good at all kinds of weapons except bows. The Clerics are limited to blunt weapons only. The Elf Archers (whuch is my favorite type of player) are really good a bows, but can only use one-handed weapons. The Magicians are the best at magic attacks but really bad at everything else. The Dark Elves are good at everything but bows, but have a special power that allows them to suck the life out of any dead opponent and use the energy for fast health regeneration. There are so many levels you couldn't beat the game in a month. And they aren't those easy 5 minute levels, no these are so hard for first-timers some levels can be five minutes (though highly unlikely) and some levels can take up to over an hour. The game is really hard, but makes up in the overall fun of the game. You meet quite a lot of people along your journey, and you see quite a lot of sights too. There are shops along the way where you can sell or buy armor, weapons, and special gems that help you in some way (there are earrings, necklaces, rings, and much more). You can also find that stuff as you beat the game. Every time you kill an opponent he drops something. There's almost always gold coins, but they can drop all the stuff you can normally buy at the stores. There's this thing called leveling up, and when you kill enough enemies, and get enough experience, you will up a level. When you get a level up, you can make your character a better fighter by adding points to different skills. Like for instance, there is helath regeneration, which lets you regain health faster, there is arrow damage and weapon damage, and there is endurance,which lets you carry more weight. There is so much stuff it would take ten pages to explain half of it, that's why you simply have to buy the game yourself. It is the most awesome game i have ever played, and you can do two player mode as well. I strongly advise you to at least rent this game and check it out. And that's all...Jonniboye out.

Too many glitches makes smooth gameplay nearly impossible...

Wish I hadn't wasted the money.

First Glitch: Health and Mana viels could not be used. Reloaded and started the game at least ten times before finally deciding to try and venture on without. Of course, it made for difficult and time consuming gameplay...running around circles during boss battles until my health replenished.

Diehard that I am, I still managed to put HOURS into this shotty game and survived until reaching level two. That's when I found the SECOND glitch which made continuation impossible.

Upon killing the Big Spider Boss, I decided to head back to unload my loot before entering the doors to level two. Once done and "saved", I returned to the doors only to discover they were now CLOSED and I was unable to move forward without starting the entire game over again!

After 12 hours of struggling to work around the games many unresolved errors, problems and glitches; the oh-so-boring 'hack and slash' gameplay was hardly worth the time... OR the money I spent.
