Its not perfect but it is an average Mega Man game which makes it a good take up time game, the Zero part is interesting but could have been beter.

This game is great.The difficulty is hard though,but a little practice and you can master it with ease.For me it took about maby a month or so to beat the very last boss.Anyways,the animation is not the greatest but it still looks neat.The plot is great and it has a great background to hold up the plot.Your mavric enemys this time is very cool such as Magma Dragoon,Storm Owl,Slash Beast,Frost Walrus,Jet Stingray,etc.....This time you can be zero(who I always pick)If you ask me id tell you to be zero instead of mega man,even though mega man has more weapon capabilities.Zero is more supirior in speed and plus he has a close range weapon and I choose close range over all.Although zero may not be for a new player,zero is more for expierienced players.I sudjest that eather you train with mega man for a while or even better,just buy mega man x5 and train on that since its so easy.The last boss on that game would be as challenging as one of the simple mavrick hunters who guarded the secret weapons such as web spider,lol,seriously,that game is that easy but its perfect for practice to get better at these far more supirior mega man games.Note that each boss has a weakness to a certain weapon that you may carry,try em out!!Unfortunately Megaman x5's bosses are weak to every weapon that you have.So,pass up megaman x5,unless you need it to train to get ready to play this great and fun game.

P.s. MegaMan x6 will be realeased soon.I here it will be even more challenging than MegaMan x4!!Im gonna check it out some time,cya later fellow reviewers.

This is an awesome game!! It was really hard to get through some of the levels, but once you finally get it, it's very satisfying. As for the "speed-racer esque" backgrounds and animation, that's bull. The backgrounds are really cool-looking and are more reminiscent of older sega genesis games like "sonic and knuckles". The music is pretty cool as long as you aren't annoyed by techno style. There are a few really cool movie clips between the different phases of the game and they're very well done, both artistically and in staying in line with the anime genre. There's nothing stupid in this game that would keep me from buying and playing it all over again. If you don't own this yet, get it now. It's a classic for all of us gamers who grew up with arcade games and the super nintendo. While the 2d graphics aren't as sophisticated as other games, they don't take away from the experience at all! You will flip over this game and want to buy X5 as soon as you finish this one. oh yeah, there is a long story-line to the whole game that weaves smoothly through all of the games, and at times it's like watching a tv show. this is an awesome game.

This is definetly a cool game . It has sweet anime cut scenes which tells a story in better detail than the other X series. The graphics are totally cool, though they are still 2D but WHO CARES. This game has new weapons, and new abilities for X and new Mavericks. Plus you get to play as Zero. This is a must have game and not a waste of money. So what are you waiting for go ahead and buy this awesome game.

mega man is a really cool game.I wish it was the wolds #1 game.At first i just liked it a little bit, thinking that it was just a kid with blaster. but now since capcom made mega man x 4 zero and x what ever his name is with better attacks. So now I like it thats why i want the game.

This game is really a lot of fun and is probably the best X game for the PS (X5 was too easy, and I haven't played X6 yet). This game has my favorite character from the X franchise, Zero, as a fully playable character. The cut scenes are well animated, but the dubbing is hideous. Even so, I had fun with it. I have beaten it with X, but I just can't quite do it with Zero. Zero is stronger than X, but also harder to control. Once you pick a character, you are him for the whole game. Of course, I did cheat, but who cares? Why not try without a cheat code next time. That's what made it easy. Here's hoping the best will happen for X7!

This is the coolest MM game for the playstiation. I love the cool grafics and Zero is sooooo cool, i like how you get difrent weapons if you are Zero compared to Mega Man, the only thing that isn't too great is that it dosn't have anithing too arringinal, like the screws in MM8, or the awsome robots for mmx3, but it is soo fun...i hope they come out with mmX5 for playstation 2... PS>>> MegaMan Legends stinks, i dont think that they should have made megaman look soo stupid :( PPS>>> If you dont like the other MMX games, youll probobly wont like this one, except it has a million cheats

Mega man x4 is amazing of the good story line. He is amazingly powerful. A TRUE GAME MASTER'S CHALLENGE! This game is included whith bloody scenes and violence. Mega Man x can be better than some american heoroes

The best of all the Mega Man games. Period

I had played every Mega Man game up until X4 came out, and I can safetly say this is the best one ever. X5-X8 just had pictures with words which I thought was totally lame. With X4 they had complete cartoon anime scenes with full dialogue and how awesome was that? The game play was fantastic, the graphics were fantastic, you could play as Zero all the way through the game, Mega and Zero had their own story elements. Awesome game. One of the best ever.
