The Arcade was a hit but the playstation kills this game off with a vengence as you once again have to settle for the same swap trick to use crossover mode. the extra modes don't make up for the choppy gameplay either or not being able to tag which is what the game was based on. It's not Capcoms fault though since the DC conversion was flawless.

Marvel vs Capcom is one of the best games I have played. It has great graphics and great game play that you expect from Capcom. Despite its lack of true tag-team mode due to the Playstation's limitations, I still feel that this game is incredible.

This game is simply awesome! Besides the fact that you have the coolest fighters to pick from, It's fun factor on a scale of 1-10 is a an 11. I've never played a better fighting game. I especially recommend this to anyone who plays in the arcade but is always beaten. This will reverse your outcome. Sure, it might look like the same capcom fighting game your used to, but anyone who has played the others knows this is the best. I just can't stop beating my friends with MegaMan and War Machine.

First Let's clear up some of the bad reviews of this game. No you can't change partners in VS mode but this can be done in Crossover mode so it's really no big deal if you ask me. I've play the arcade version and most of the combos were saved and put in the playstation version. This game is amazing and addicted. The gameplay is furious and the graphics are excellent and are not that far off dreamcast's. The game is great for comic book junkies like me who use to argue in their youth over who would win Spiderman or The Hulk? These game has alot of eye candy and with very different settings to battle thru. The sound in this game is clear. Please don't listen to the bad reviews or you are gonna miss out on a great game. Plus there is no blood in this game so it makes it perfect to play with the kids

At first when I played this game on a dreamcast I recently bought I said these words " who was the idoit who "translated" this worthless, lackluster edition of a once great game?". Well thank goodness for playstation. This translation is the best when it comes to graphics and replay value. The sound was fantastic but the annoying pharse form spider-man "Do your job"really nerveracked me.but other than that this game is a instant classic!

This game rules in every way! Read the other five star reviews, rent this game, buy it! If you followed what I said you see what I mean! You know Tekken 2,The King of fighters 95,Souledge,Tekken 3,Rival Schools,Bloody Roar1,Bloody Roar 2, Jojo's 'venture, and now this there all in the same level:innovative, bizzare, cool, and seemingly Undefeated as fighting games! The Playstation is truly the number one system for fighters!

Remember back when Street Fighter II (one of the best games.) was popular? Remember how fun it was.Back then all those special moves were actaully special. Nowadays theres a basic button that can do them. Bassically the way to win in this is to press buttons as fast as you can. Thats what my brother and friend do. Those two are obsessed with CAPCOM, and now that the sequel of this wont be on the PLAYSTION my brother is thinkng about spending 200 bucks for a DREAMCAST.(Not that thats a bad decison, I would love to get one.) Just because of one game. MARVEL VS CAPCOM wasnt bad.I have played much worse. I cant say that I reccomend it though, but if you want a 2d fighting adventure this is your kind of game. Maybe CAPCOMs next game will be more like Street FIGHTER II.

I'll admit it, there are a few problems, but for those of you you dont own a dreamcast get this game.i'lladmit the dreamcast is a superior system to the current playstation. however, this game is still really cool. i am kinda annoyed how akuma's only SORT OF in it, he was awesome. Dont get disheartened, you can still use the Raging Demon, but only through code. Another downfall is that it doesnt have enough characters. I would really like to see Cyclops, Magneto, Iron Man, and Garuda from SF:EXa in some more 2D fighting games....

So its flawed, get over it!

For those of you who dismiss this installment of the ever-popular Vs. series: shame on you. I think that this is a marvelous translation (No pun intended). You have to understand that even though the Playstation is one phenomenally ingenious system, it does lack in memory because it only has 2MB while Sega boasted about their now dead Saturn's 4MB capabilities. Nonetheless, if you've played the vs. series and liked them then I say go for this one. The graphics are pretty damn good for a PSX title, the sound isn't bad at all, and the animation is pretty awesome for a system with that type of RAM. If you OWN the prequels to this then I say forget it. You'll get tired of it in less than a week. Before you turn a skeptical eye to the game I would hope that you at least rent it and try it out. Many magazines will say that it lacks in everything but they forget that this is all running on only 2MB of RAM, a feat in and of itself.
