when I first played this game, I was surprised at how good I was at it. It definately, truly, ROCKED MY WORLD!!! the graphics however, are fantastic! (I liked the cartoonish backround) I was good at other games as well like Street Fighter. my first characters I picked were mega man and Ryu. I liked how the voices sounded like except maybe for mega man's voice he kind of sounds like Sailor Minimoon. the gameplay however is COOL! of course beating the snot out of Spider Man was one of them; and that's how I ended up beating my first match. (I was sooooo excited) at the same time, it really managed my anger. above all, I love fighting games; so if you liked other ones you'll like this one!
Classic, collectilble, and Fun!!

I pumped quarters like a gaming fool into this game at the arcade. With this game I got all my money back and then some. Still fun with bonus hidden characters!
One of the greatest fighting games i've ever played

In the same genre as "Street Fighter vs X-men", "Capcom vs SNK", and "Street Fighter Alpha 3"...this is one of the best!!!! The graphics are the best yet for this fighter, the combos are a "must see to believe" with incredible SUPER moves, and great control you will have a lot of fun with this one, the characters are from the Marvel Comics universe and from the Capcom games worlds, with 15 fighters to choose from with more to unlock...It is just the best being able to have MegaMan fighting Venom, Strider against Spider-Man, Ryu beating on the Hulk etc., If you love the "Street Fighter" or "Vs" series this is another to add to your library.
Why All of these games are not tag team like the arcade

Well all 3 of these tag games are not the same as the arcade or dreamcast. The ram is limit to make it a great tag team. you can't pick 2 on 2 with a special partner. You have to choose between partner heros or special partner which is use only for and assist type. Partner Hero: Pick the character that is the other character you fight with instead they only help up with a special move and duo hyper combo. Special Partner:Those characters after you pick 2 fighters. The only thing they do is using their one only attack but at lease you have unlimited partners. Good thing you can play as Onslught in this verson only. It is too easy. Even at the last level(beat onslught once and you have a full health bar when you face his big form). Pros: Still the same good game, only you can chain hyper combos. Cons:Still not a true tag team game(Better if you have Rival Schools,Project Justice,Tekken Tag Tournment,or Marvel V.S Capom 1&2 on dreamcast if you have one.

Ok let me tell u now this game is awesome. I played it in a arcade and i got hooked and begged my parents to get me it off the net.And trust me when i got it a year ago rite off amazon it was not cheap (50 bucks!!)anyway this game is alittle different from the arcade because you dont have a team with two people its just another guy that does a little attack every time u call them in.SOme of u might say thats the best part and ur right but its still a great game get this game if u can!

I have to say that this game is a pretty good game, after playing the arcade version of the game this version really falls why? cuz of the tag feature it's missing it and the characters dont have all the frames like the arcade version, also another thing i notice is that your health bar decreases alot when your opponent even hits you with light punches specially when they hit you with a hyper combo you will die instantly. Then there is the damn loading times good thing is that they dont take too long and you can skip them by pressing start after you finish the fight in single player, So what made this game really great (in my opinion) was really the tag feature becuase it added alot of stradegy but here in the playstation version it lacks it, however there is a crossover mode which does bring the tag feature in this mode but the problem is that your opponents are going to have to be mirrior to your characters, why is that? becuase the playstation does not have enough RAM so capcom instead put this crossover mode and you can play tag in this mode just that only mirrior characters of the ones you picked. The music in the game is very true to the arcade but the sound effect sound so tinny at times very low quality compare to the crystal clear crisp sounds of the arcade.Controls work great with the game because psx controllers always work great in 2D fighters so i have no problem with the controls.Graphics look great they look like they did in the arcade version but they are characters are missing frames like some of the fire effects look somewhat pixalated and dont look as good like in the arcade.Overall i think this game it's still fun to play on it's own even without tag feature but if you like the arcade soo much it will dissapoint i give this game a 8.0

I'm a big time 2D fighting veteran and I can tell which fighter is worth playing all over and which is worth ditching. Marvel VS Capcom for the PlayStation is an example of one of those 2D fighters that needs to be ditched. But don't get me wrong ! I actually liked the game...on the Dreamcast and arcade. The PlayStation version of Marvel VS Capcom is just swarming with a whole lot of flaws. Trust me ! This is not arcade perfect ! Most of the times, arcade translations that go to the PlayStation come out imperfect like this one. The graphics are just horrible ! Sure the characters and stages look colorful, but if you pay attention to the framerates of the animations, you'll notice that the characters don't move smoothly or move faster. The audio, sounds great. Music tracks and sound effects are brilliant, but nothing special at all. And as for the gameplay, just horrible. And the lack of a tag feature ? Now this is really going overboard ! Just like in Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter for the PlayStation, you have to call up your character to do a one-hit special move. If you want the tag feature, you'll have use the cross over mode, but this feature doesn't emulate the tag features on the superior arcade and Dreamcast versions. The controls could've been slicker, but instead, it ended up choppy. It seems that the PlayStation controller was not meant for great games like this. All in all, the PSX version of Marvel VS Capcom is a big letdown. Choppy animation, choppy controls, lack of a tag feature, and long loading times during the beginning of each fight really makes this game look like a zero. If you want the real Marvel VS Capcom experience, I'd say buy the Dreamcast version of Marvel VS Capcom or spare a few quarters or tokens to play the arcade version. The DC version of Marvel VS Capcom featured flawless animations, awesome graphics, hyper fast controls, no loading times, and a tag feature. Now that's an arcade perfect translation of one of the best 2D arcade fighters of all time ! The DC version is definently worth the money and worth your time ! Please ! Whatever you do, avoid the PSX version ! This version of Marvel VS Capcom is a disgrace to Capcom's ever expanding lineup of 2D fighters ! Not really something to use your money on !
