Perhaps I am too old for these games, but I love the 2 brain games & use my nintendo frequently & hoped to enjoy some added variety---I rarely use the game & my daughter borrowed it & she was unimpressed also.

Club House games is a collection of quite a few little games. The titles are basically ones that you can download and play for free on the internet, but this gives you a big collection from cards to darts and bowling to play.
It's worth getting simply because there's something for everyone on it, and when all is said and done, the title does provide some fun.
Graphically, there's nothing to say here: As in, the graphics stink. But the game is cool and offers a lot for what you're paying. Just check out the list of what games come on here and you'll see what I mean.

There are so many people that are definitely more interested in video games than the classic card and board games you see on television like Monopoly, and Connect Four. Nevertheless, sometimes a video version of those games can be just as exciting as the actual version against a regular person. hat has shown several times with games for the Nintendo DS as well. The games that have been developed for the system have definitely amazed me within the past few years, since the system debuted in 2004. For those who do wan that variety of life of many games for the Nintendo DS, they might have it here.
Clubhouse Games for the Nintendo DS is a variety compilation of over 40 different games on one video game that are as fun and entertaining at times, as the original thing. The games here are mainly and only controlled by the stylus on this game, which at times can be very frustrating on some games which require complete accuracy from bowling, darts and 9 ball pool. There are also other games which have fewer problems but can aso be as fun on with card games like 5 card draw poker, blackjack, and lesser-known ones like president where you have to withdraw cards in consecutive order from 3's low, to deuces high. The board games also handle well from classic variations of ludo, which influenced Sorry!, chinese checkers, dominoes and chess. The graphics handle well, but the music at times can be cutesy but a bit annoying.
All in all, despite some problems on certain games, Clubhouse Games for the Nintendo DS is a great compilation for young and old gamers alike, and it is fun to play, and challenging at times. If you haven't played card games or traditional board games before, it is a great introduction to a lot of challenging fun. I still was expecting a little more from the game, but it is a whole lot of fun, and I definitely recommend this for anyone who owns the Nintendo DS.

I bought this game because it got rave reviews on a major game review site. It's too easy (even at the hardest settings) and is missing some additional customization for the games that would make it a better experience. It's good mindless, keep myself occupied while waiting in the airport kind of fun...but nothing more challenging than that.
Bad graphics, otherwise great

It's too bad the graphics are so poor, because otherwise this game would be great and a wonderful value for the money. I don't really care about great visuals in a game like this, but the most annoying thing is that when I'm playing a card game (such as Spades), before each player plays in each trick, the game puts up a screen that says his or her player number. That's really tedious, slows the game way down, and totally unnecessary. Otherwise, though, it would be a good game.
Horrible Chess Engine

My wife got this for me as a Christmas present, almost solely because I kept saying I wanted a chess program for the DS. I have to say, the chess program is horrible. I can easily beat it on the hardest (of three) settings. It doesn't appear to use an opening library, or if it does, that library consists of sacrificing the queen as early as possible (I'm not kidding about that). It takes forever to decide on a move, then it does something completely inexplicable (like instead of moving a dangling piece out of harms way, it will move another piece to a meaningless square).
I will say that the rest of the games (at least the ones I've played) seem good enough to distract me while I'm on the bus. My wife and I have also played some of them together over the wireless connection, and that was fun.
Bridge players stay away!

I bought this title precisely so I could play Bridge. Bridge is one of the most complex card games of all time, so I wasn't expecting miracles of AI brilliance, but I at least expected that (a) the minimum necessary information would be given to you so you could play the game, (b) the AI could at least give you some challenge, and (c) the game would implement the real rules of Bridge. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Necessary information (bidding history) is not available anywhere. The bids are displayed on the UI as they are made, but they flash very quickly and are buried in a confusing flash of irrelevant information, and if you miss them, they're gone. As atrocious as that experience is, the game only allows you to make a single bid, so it doesn't even implement Bridge rules correctly! I'm thinking of returning the game, or seeing if there is such a thing as a patch for DS games.
Given that I was trapped on a long flight, I tried out a few of the other games.
Hearts was at least playable, but lacked the options that I would have preferred to be able to set (e.g. I couldn't configure passing schemes, rewards for hitting 100, or Jack of Diamonds optional rules).
Solitaire was acceptable.
Backgammon is my favorite game on this compilation so far, but even this lacks advanced features (doubling cube), and the UI is also quite annoying (you have to be very precise about where you place your pieces or it will reject your input).
Chess worked and was, as expected, easily beatable. At least the game knew to allow castling. I didn't have a chance to try en passent.
Bottom line: jack of all trades, master of none. Some of the games are fun, some are unplayable. Have low expectations of what this game can do and you'll probably enjoy it more.

UPDATE: years later, I find I enjoy this game more than I did when it first came out. Yes, it's still a poor implementation of every individual game, and the abundance of flashing screens is still annoying. But if you ignore the warts, this game can entertain you for countless hours. I enjoyed beating all the missions (despite some of them being very frustrating) and some games like Mahjong are fun to replay indefinitely. If I have anything else to play, I do, but when I'm bored with current games, this one is still not a bad way to kill time.

I like the games, but I hate that it takes so long to get through a round because you have to wait for the other players (computer players) to take their turn. I wish I would to be able to just play by myself or with one computer player. I also have touchmaster and that is similar (in that it has a lot of games) and I LOVE THAT and cannot put it down. I do like the variety of games in the CLUB HOUSE.
