Everyone has been exhaustive in their descriptions, so I won't repeat. I love my DS, but I love it even more since getting this game!! It motivated me to go out and buy one for my 68 year old mom for Christmas. I know she's gonna love it!! This is truly a game for all ages that won't be boring any time soon. Run don't walk to the nearest store to buy it!! It'll come in handy while you are waiting on hold trying to find a Wii.

There are so many card, board, and other types of games in this collection that there is something for everyone. The menus are easy to use. The graphics are good. Good use of the unique DS gameplay features.

This is the kind of DS game that doesn't knock your socks off right away because these are all tried and true old games, but you will come back and play this again and again whenever you have a few minutes to devote to fun.

Games For All

There are so many people that are definitely more interested in video games than the classic card and board games you see on television like Monopoly, and Connect Four. Nevertheless, sometimes a video version of those games can be just as exciting as the actual version against a regular person. hat has shown several times with games for the Nintendo DS as well. The games that have been developed for the system have definitely amazed me within the past few years, since the system debuted in 2004. For those who do wan that variety of life of many games for the Nintendo DS, they might have it here.

Clubhouse Games for the Nintendo DS is a variety compilation of over 40 different games on one video game that are as fun and entertaining at times, as the original thing. The games here are mainly and only controlled by the stylus on this game, which at times can be very frustrating on some games which require complete accuracy from bowling, darts and 9 ball pool. There are also other games which have fewer problems but can aso be as fun on with card games like 5 card draw poker, blackjack, and lesser-known ones like president where you have to withdraw cards in consecutive order from 3's low, to deuces high. The board games also handle well from classic variations of ludo, which influenced Sorry!, chinese checkers, dominoes and chess. The graphics handle well, but the music at times can be cutesy but a bit annoying.

All in all, despite some problems on certain games, Clubhouse Games for the Nintendo DS is a great compilation for young and old gamers alike, and it is fun to play, and challenging at times. If you haven't played card games or traditional board games before, it is a great introduction to a lot of challenging fun. I still was expecting a little more from the game, but it is a whole lot of fun, and I definitely recommend this for anyone who owns the Nintendo DS.

A Collection of Casual Games for the DS

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 5 / 5

Clubhouse Games is a large collection of classic, traditional games in a video game format. Nintendo did not invent these games. They have been around for a long time. All Nintendo did was put them all together in one large collection and presented them in a format that is playable on a video game console. Just about everyone will find a game that they know how to play. And due to the DS' touch screen interface, the learning curve to play them on the console will be very short.

I will echo the comments that have already been made and state that this might be the best collection of casual (pickup-and-play) games available. This is the perfect game for those random gaming time that we sometimes get in the middle of our busy day. Most of the games can be started and stopped in a very short amount of time. And, there is very little need to read a long manual in order to learn how to play them.

Highly recommended for people of all ages. You don't need to have had any experience playing video games in order to enjoy this title. There is no need for any kind of fancy button mashing or acrobatic control manipulations. As a matter of fact, you really don't need to be a video gamer in order to play this game. This title, together with the DS Lite console, would make an ideal gift for that person whom you would like to gently introduce to the wonderful world of video games.

The game will also give you the rules for the game that you want to play. This is a helpful feature for those who may have forgotten the rules to a particular game. For example, if you want to play Blackjack, you can tap on the "rules" button and you will be given the rules for that game. It's also a good way to learn and pick up new games.

Solid Fun

The best part about this game, and one of the main reasons I purchased it, is that you only need one cartrige to play it with your friends locally. My boyfiend and I can sneak in a quick card game together with ease and in comfort. No digging out cards or sitting up at a table.

There are many solid classic choices, as well as some more unusual ones. Koi Koi, a game I'd never before heard of, has turned out to be my favorite.

The only game that outright sucks is Soda Shake. I'm not sure who could sit there and play that outside of unlocking the stamp modes.

This was a really great game. It has a great variety of fun, well made games. It was so easy to use because the controls were simple and every game had easy access instructions built in. It is good for quick fun or hours of play. I highly recommend this game.

If you and your buddies own DS' and want to have a good game that up to eight people can enjoy off of one cartridge then this is the game for you! Tons of card games and bar games are featured in this and it never get old. The flaw is that there are some options that were left out for some of the games that could have helped out the playability but its not big enough to make a difference in play time. I would have bought this game based solely on the Darts and Bowling games, they freaking rock! I give this a thumbs up, I have played this game more than any of my other DS games with exception of Tetris of course.

Good variety of games - thinking, not eye-hand coordination

I'm a "Senior" adult (old?). The games in Club House Games span games for the very young (like my grandchildren) to the "Seniors" among us. Old Maid to poker and chess and every level in between. You can even play dominoes, darts, and go bowling. Easy for those of us who reached adulthood before the "computer age" to learn and play on the DS system. Really appreciated using the stylus rather than buttons.

Lots and lots of variety, but weak AI and no-one playing wifi

I didn't buy this game for quite a while after it came out, as I had read a lot of negative reviews of it. Finally I couldn't resist the urge, as there are really no other card games for the DS. I was fairly pleasantly surprised. The variety here is unbeatable---SO many games, many I've never tried or heard of, but do enjoy. Lots of ways to play---alone, with a friend, or by wifi. I'm learning new games and enjoying the old ones MOSTLY.

The main problem here is the AI. The game is DUMB. I love to play bridge, but the computer here seems to just barely know how to play the game. It constantly makes crazy bids like 6 hearts when it have 5 fairly weak heart cards. The chess was so easy as to be laughable---I queened 3 pawns in a game, and I am no chess expert. I can beat the system at pretty much all the games set on hard, and it's annoying. I tried the wifi to find a bridge opponant. I've waited for hours, and there is no-one else out there wanting to play, it seems. I tried finding someone for many other games just for fun, and only could find someone for Texas Hold 'Em, which is not really my game.

But I don't mean to be overly critical. For the price, this is a great value, and if you find people to play face to face with, or you don't mind usually winning, or if you just like to learn new games and always have someone to play them with, this is a super product.
