ROLE-PLAYING RULES!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

this role-play game is complex & gives you hours upon hours of game play.
You as the player are the only one whom roams & does battle. You must be smart to figure out all the clues you receive..and having a sense of direction is most important. There is also some humor here and there. If you enjoy exploring and using all your wits, this is a game for you!

An extremely fun, older role-playing game

This game is very fun and challenging. It is older, but in my opinion it is just as good as, if not better than, Phantasy Star 3 which was also out for the Sega Genesis around the same time as this. And that is saying a lot, because the Phantasy Star games are some of the best role-playing games ever made, comparable to the Final Fantasy series. I remember playing Sword of Vermilion years ago, and getting so involved in it, and not being able to stop playing. You will not be wasting your money if you want a fun, older role-playing game to kill some time with. It's excellent!

Just think about it

The story begins with you as the heir to the throne of your kingdom, your sole possesion is a ring deep within a cave a mile away from the city gates. But what great game doesn't have a struggle?
The cave is guarded by Cobalds and skeletons and all sorts of other creatures, as the story unravels you find that there is more to the dark skys than a rain cloud.
The fighting system was at the time quite innovative allowing you to fight in real time in an rpg. There are puzzles to solve and dragons to kill.Overall it is a very absorbing gaming experience for the casual and hard core gamer.
