Mega Bomberman's gameplay may be overly simplistic (A newbie can start winning regularly in Battle Mode after only a few games.), but that's what makes it so appealing. I guarantee you that you could put this game in your Genesis, hand the controller to someone that's never played the game before, and give them a brief run-down of the basic buttons and power-ups, and they could easily start beating you within a few rounds! This is the most user-friendly video game series in the world. However, Mega Bomberman adds little kangaroos to the gameplay, adding even more bits of strategy to an already awesome video game! And how about being able to choose from 8 different characters? Pretty cool! Buy this game. It rocks!
The best since Super Bomberman 2

If you've tried Super Bomberman 2 on the SNES, and oddly have a Genesis, Mega Bomberman is the game for you! It's more than just the adventure now, the battle mode is also more interesting! What hit me the most is character select. Also, there are now kangaroos, called Louies (as of Bomberman Hero). Louies can give you special abilities, as well as an extra hit! It seems there are actually less options than SB2, but it's still cool! Bottom line, nice game, OK graphics, awesome gameplay. If you played any past Bomberman games, get Mega Bomberman!
