Like Rampage crossed with Street Fighter

By that I mean you play as monsters who beat each other up against the backdrop of trashing cities. A novel idea, but I am assuming that King of the Monsters is a game that is probably best enjoyed in the arcade. After playing the Sega Genesis version I can definitely see the appeal but it's just not that appealling to come back to it again and again.

There IS loads of fun to be had in smashing the place up and doing LOADS of damage to world but I know it's going to be even better in an arcade and the Genesis controls can be a bit sluggish sometimes, which isn't good when you rely on quick reflexes.

wow this game is incredible, the monsters are so real, and the game play is just plain rad, you fight and become the king of the monsters, astro guy is a complete hoss

i cant believe how rad this game is, i had the original for super nintendo and i loved it, this one is just amazing, you thrash cities and its so great, if you dont buy this game you arent a true video game player or you arent american, buy it

If you enjoyed this game here are some tips on how to beat the bosses easier and faster with cheats for the gensis version. If you are playing I suggest you put on infinite healh time, and lives on. If you are trying to do speed run or set a speed record just for fun. Or to impress your friends try to avoid using normal hits on the boos they are very ineffective and don't due a lot of damage. Even though the monster weights differ in the introduction scene there normal and special attacks do about the same amount of damage. The first boss has aheavy defense resistance staus against normal blows at about 30% resitance meaning youl have score at least thirty punches or kicks to defeat it or more. You can drastically increase the damage done by using throws and special charge attacks. The first boss has resitanc has a lower resitance against damages from throws of about 5 t0 20 percent more the boss after him excluding maybe the final boss. Super movie are super effective and can take about 5 to 30 of the health bar away some boss have large health bar. This special movie like cyber woo cannon projectile attack when he turn into a cannon shot out a laser ball like projectile sphree. This boss luckely has the same movies as in the super ninetndo version for those that this is your first time playing the gensis versiomn. His moves are a slash with his arms attack ann air throw slash body slam which does massive damge if your playing the gensis version with out the cheats on or the super nintendo version were invulerability is impossible to active by any means that I have heard of. He also has a high fast drop jump kick like attack similar to that used by Gorisarus in King kong escapes and by godzilla in the finaly of godzilla versus megalon. Also like the later godzilla monsters like heydro and mechagodzilla and megalon and gigan out side of the movie series this boss has a laser attack attack it is huge. Which was used only once and miss do to the use of the cheats and the player was out of range and the angel was of alot. You will now when he is going to do this attack because his head transforms into a fish's head and the mouth open and laser about maybe 1/4 the size of godzilla heat beam maybeless shout out. The beam is rainbow like color. The player used use a combination of weak normal punches and kick and medium damage throws and none of his special devestating charge attack. Making this battle take a massive 23 hit in four minutes to achieve. Also avoid get knock down and temporarily stunned try to charge up one of your charge attack frequently. Like the cyber cannon or the flame blast which can hit from about 2 t0 13 feet when it is in a liment for a direct hit that can't be avoid and if you time it correctly. The next boss is a giant squid like humoid monster he has even more defense. This is a two part fight. There is a slight delay when fighting this boss because he is not full size and take a couplea few second to grow to full size and he can not take damage until he is full grown. This glitch or complication was removed in the Super NEs verision. This monster attacks are a body slame technique a really strong throwing slaming attack and a strecth like punch ability like mr fantastic but only in the hands area. Also in the second half of the battle and super nintendo and gensis version when just the head is left it can shock you some times and can land one top of you and sucked out your health and also had another beam like attack like the previous boss but more circular shaped like the hypnotic ray said to come out of snake eyes to hypnotise the prey in novels like the jungle book. This eye ray blast has a medusa like effect in the super nintendo version briefly turning you to stone and leaving you imbolized for a few seconds. The battle is sligtyl extend in the gensis version because he split into two after you deplete his second health bar hit him a couple more times and he imploudes. This boss has about a 5% to 60% total resitance of all attacks on the sega version if you alternate. He also does not seemed to have his meduse like wave weapon in this version. The next boss is claw head a hidious scorpion like alien. Claw head attack are stabbing you with his two head stinger grabbing and throwing you with his mouth has and hit you with his tongue like energy blast and can burrow his head under the sand and them hit you when his head surfaces. Has about 20 to 80% resitance against more or lease depending on the combinations of attack you use it could take 6 to 100 hits to defeat this boss depend on the attack stregnth of the combonitions and how often they hit or are performed correctly. He moves fast so expected about maybe 50% of you charge attack except maybe super Gigon body slam slash sismic attack to miss unless he is air born and not touch the ground is pretty much the only way he can avoid that ability and it the old super nintendo version if played as the dragon you could some time knocked him out of the air with your tail then hit him with a charge uup he blast attack during the few second he's uncoucus if you do it fast enough are withing range. The next boss the bettle master and was incredibly annoying and I rarely got passed him on supernintendo with out another person decoying him while the other charge up one of his charge attack. The bettle can hit you with its hand burrow under ground in super version shut a rays out of its stomach region and literal shout its brain at you later on it can grabs you it turns you into the purple mode which temporarily embolized you and make it harder to control your monster to fight back until it wears of. In this version only the beetle has and extra attack not in the super nintendo release mid way near the fights end it split up into two bettles each with about a 1/3 a bar of vital. After the battle the brain will attack you touch it oncethe battle is over. About 39 to to 100 hits will destroy the next boss and annoying sea slug like alien who attacks include a wirl powl attack and annoying set of purples buble that increase your mass temporarily make you fatter. This may offend some people so use caution on this boss. The next level you fight the boss right away a battle a jellifish slash vampire like alien as well as with stage 7. For the second two last boss if you can doge long enough with out the cheats on you can take him dwon with about 40 direct due to about 60% or less resitance if you alternate between normal punches and kick, throw attacks and specials such as the canno transformation energy attack. The final boss is a gigantic Jabba the hutt like creature. There is a secret startegty that does massive damage so you can take out this guys with only about maybe 4 to 40 hits by use his own enviroment inside the volcano against him. It has about a 40% may more resitance to damage from physical blow maybe higher but the gizer that go of can do massive damage if he is to close to them when they go. So they can deplete it's health with about 4 to 20 hits hits due to his super sensitivty to the molten gas or lava that shouts out of them. Doing a masive 8 to 12 percent damage per hit maybe more. After that you just got to destroy all the smaller monster that appear and the game is over. This boss has some of the abilites of the previous boss and is supposed to be a clone of one fo three mosnter you choose but the boss is supposed to me a different life form in the superninteno version for the final stage. I was short for time so I had to cut down on the detail after stage three. Hope this reduced startegty tips and guids helps you if you chose to read this far.
