Despite all the bad reviews this game gets, it remains my favorite playstation game. Call me crazy..

If you come across this game, run away as fast as you can. The graphiics are nice, but everything else about this title sucks. The fighting is slow and choppy, the characters are lame and this game could possibly be one of the worst of all time.

I can't believe they let this game use the D&D Name

A friend of mine found this game in a [$...] bin and bought it for me because I enjoy fantasy style games. Let me be brutally honest... my friend was ripped off. This game, though the premise should be good enough... your standard arena fighting game only with the D&D characters instead of whatever else they usually use in fighting games. According to the instruction manual, you could get artifacts by defeating some of your opponents that could be used in later battles.

Here are the problems with the game:

- The graphics were terrible even for the time the game was made. Please don't say they were just bad because it's a PS game... FF7 was on the same system and came out about the same time, maybe only off by a year or so
- The sound is irritating, repetitive, and glitchy. Often it would stick on one piercing note for over a minute.
- The movement is slow, choppy, and not responsive to the controller
- As another review stated, even the fast characters were ridiculously slow.
- As a fighting game goes, the specials were not that special, were not easy to do and were not rewarding when you finally figured them out... in fact if some idiot hadn't typed "Combo" on the screen I never would have known I'd done one.
- There is no replay-ability to this game, it wasn't all that fun the first time around, and we certainly didn't pull it out to play it again.

This game has been in the drawer since 97 or so... a month or two ago my kids left it on the floor (after becoming bored with playing it for about 10 minutes) and stepped on it... cracking it in half. I couldn't even bring myself to yell at them because the destruction of this game was actually doing the world a favor.

I can't believe they were allowed to put the Dungeons and Dragons name on this piece of garbage.

Where to start with this game?
Bad graphics? Bad controls? Poor speed...even on the characters who were supposed to be the fast fighters in the game.
I bought this game when it first came out 1 because I am a D&D geek the other is because I like fighting games they game fell miserble on both levels. Then I believe it was either EGM or Game Pro that voted this one of the worst games in history and trust me folks it earned that title.

STAY AWAY from this GAME before it corrupts you...to late for me.

The graphics are rather old mainly due to age, but I still loved this game. I am a big fan of D&D so maybe thats why, but I found it to be very fun. Despite all of the other bad reviews, I highly recomend this as a MUST HAVE for any fan of Mortal Kombat, 3d Fighters, Ravenloft, Vampires, Werewolves, Dwarves and D&D :P.
