Fans Inuyasha & SNES-fighting games will love, others won't

As a huge Inuyasha fan (before it came to America) and a PS1-only owner, I was so happy to hear that this game was avaliable in America. I was happier to hear that all of the original voices were kept (there are translations for all of the dialogue that is not in-battle).

You start the game as Inuyasha or Kagome, and each time you beat a "level" with enough shards you unlock a new character. All of the main ones are here: listed in the manual and even the 2 secret ones can be figued out from their silloettes.

The controls are very esay to figure out, and the game is very enjoyable if you like this sort of game. There are a few mini-games of whacking bees and rocks, but otherwise are all battles. So if you like fighting games you'll like this, though the graphics are in no comparison to games like Soul Caliber and Tekken. Therefore, Inuyasha fans will love seeing their favorite character demolish others (it's so much fun to beat up Shippo!), fans of SNES-type fighting games will enjoy it, but those looking for deep storylines and varied gameplay will not.

Not What I Expected!

I purchased this game some time ago by my little brother's annoying begs. I used to think this was another of those classic Street Fighter-like games, but now that I have it, I don't regret buying it at all!
"Inu-Yasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale" is a joyous, fun-for-all game. This game can be played by one players or two--not just fighting with the COM or the other player (think Street Fighter), but there is a feature that allows you to play the set storyline (jewel shards!) and battle with other characters like Kikyo, Sesshomaru, Shippo, and even Naraku. Before a battle, you'll hear a conversation between your character and the character you're fighting. It gets quite humorous sometimes. For example, when Kagome met up with Shippo, he asked her for food, and Kagome said she didn't have any... so Shippo claimed that she was lying because she was getting *fatter* (LOL, I know, Kagome isn't fat at all), so Kagome got mad and challenged him for a battle. Well, at least *I* laughed at that.

It gets challenging at times, but then again, not really challenging. I'd say this game would suit an eleven-year-old more or less.
So how did I become obsessed with this game, you ask? Well, I'm a big fan of various anime series, including Inu-Yasha, and I prefer the subbed version that the dub. This game is NOT dubbed, and yes, they DO speak Japanese. However, the translation is always written at the bottom.

I haven't unlocked every character or feature yet, but I truly recommend this if you like the arcade a lot. Yeah. Well... feh!

If you like Inuyahsa the show then you will definetly like the game. It jas everything you could want in a good game. Greta graphics, music, animation, and fighting. You can't forget about the fighting. Who wouldn't like a game where you get to play as you favorite Inuyasha characters and beat people up. It's the best and if you never played it yet you should.

This game is like the show....the single greatest thing ever created by man! The game may be a little bit easy but you can always change the difficulty level to your preference. The game starts off with the captions in English and the characters voices in JAPANESE! I believe as the game progresses and you open the "Kagome's Backpack" feature you can change the voices to English. I love when games look arcade style so I instantly fell in love with the game. Especially considering the fact there aren't very many games anymore with the arcade style graphics. Dont get me wrong, new graphics are better and it probably would inhance the game quality, arcade style just seems to suit this game perfectly. This game will keep you amused for hours. If you are an Inuyasha fan, this is a MUST HAVE. Even if you aren't and you're just a gamer looking for a new entertaining game to play, buy this one. You won't regret it. Let me just note to PS2 owners: Don't make the same mistake I did. You must have a Playstation memory card to save this game. I didnt have one so I could save my game for a while....At any rate, go out and by this game!

When I first played this game, I thought it would be lame, mostly because it is 2D and I usually hate 2D games, but was I wrong! The voices are Japanese, but there're subtitles that explain what the characters are saying. The battle sequences are great too! It's really smooth and the attacks are consistent with the actual show. The game has all the main characters except Myoga because he runs away whenever there's trouble. I like Youkai Inuyasha. (the complete demon form of him) I like the Windscar attack. Well, anyway, this game is one-and two-player, so you can fight human on human, human on comp., and tag team matches. It is one of the best games I've ever played, and if your an Inuyasha fanatic like me * :) * this game is definitely for you!

This game is fun for everyone. Not only is it fun for Inu Yasha fans, but it is also fun for people who like fighting games. Even people who don't like Inu Yasha can get into this game. The graphics are okay, they could have done a little better. In the game there isn't any blood,so it is okay for children. The game is mostly in English except for when the people talk. In single player you start off as Kagome or Inu Yasha and battle to get jewel shards and defeat Naraku. After each time you beat it you get a new character such as Shippo, Sango, ect. There are also many mini games, if you don't just like to fight( my favorite is the insect mini game). Not only is the single player fun, but also the multi-player is fun if you want to play with you're friends. In it you start with Inu Yasha, Kagome, Shippo, Sango, and Mirokou. The multi-player can keep you entertained for hours. Overall this game is fun and very addictive, trust me I can spend hours on it.
