IT'S ABOUT TIME THAT THE GRINCH GOT HIS PROPS. A MOVIE, A NEW SOUNDTRACK, A SLEW OF NEW DOLLS AND TOYS, AND NOW...... A VIDEO GAME (PSX,GBC,DC). I GOT THIS GAME LAST NIGHT AND HAVE BEEN PLAYING IT ALL DAY IN PREPARATION TO GO SEE THE MOVIE. THIS GAME, BASED ON THE MOVIE, IS BRIGHT, COLORFUL, AND REALLY FUN TO PLAY. YOU CAN PLAY AS THE GRINCH OR MAX (TO GET IN TIGHT PLACES OR NOT HAVE ANYONE MESS WITH YOU). I'D LIKE TO STAY AND TELL YOU MORE BUT I'VE GOT TO GO AND PLAY SOME MORE BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR THE MOVIE. MERRY GRINCHMAS!!!
Fun to play, but hard to figure out

The grinch is definately a fun game. It contains outstanding graphics and numerous capabilities, yet it is a little hard to figure out. Definately not a game for someone under 14-15. Anyone younger may need the help of an adult to figure out some of the tricks
Good game

This game is great, but it is directed towards the wrong audience. This game will not be very simple for the children which are the target of the grinch movie, and it will turn away teenagers and older gamers because it is called the grinch. THis game is great and people jsut need to give it a chance.

Bought the game as a christmas present for my 3 sons ages 15,12 & 9. After hours of playing and me besides them trying to help resolve the 1st level (the clock) they have given up in playing the game. I've tried finding a magizine guide unfortunately none exist. It's a shame as its entertaining and harmless(no violence)
Dr.Seuss would not be proud

The Grinch is back in full force and it looks like Konami has tried to capture his essence in this poorly made game. Konami has made some dynamite games (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Metal Gear Solid to name a few), so it comes as a shock that they've let this thing slip out the door. It's sad that many unsuspecting and well-intentioned parents will pick this one up thinking that their child will enjoy it. This game is horrible, pure and simple. Every level consists of the same challenges so boredom sets in fast. The graphics go from awful to horrendous, and back to awful if you're lucky. The pop-up is here and it's in charge. For instance, in the first level I played, the Grinch was on a ledge that completely disappeared when I moved him slightly. And on many occasions, the insides of buildings would stick out through the roofs and walls, making for a very unattractive gaming experience. I hope I've made it clear that the Grinch is a gift no man, woman or child, should receive.
Don't get grinched

It's a fun game, and once you figure out the puzzles, grinching Whoville is entertaining. But finding what you need takes forever, since you get no hints. The graphics are terrible: flat and unimaginative. Music and sound effects get repetitive fast. I am returning this game to the store and finding something else. Please don't buy this game unless you have a lot of time and patience to spend on it.
The Grinch is very fun.

This game is so fun it is so green, so cool, and so Christmas! There are 4 levels, each with 6 missions. The first world has 500 presents, second and third 750, and final 1,000. I used to play it all the time with my dad on Sega Dreamcast. I love to play it, and that`s why I am getting this for Christmas!
I Have Had It For A While....

and I finally beat it. Some people may think it's impossible to beat. There are easier games, but that's besides the point. The graphics are just like any other PS1 game. There's so many tasks in this game. That is what makes it cool.
The Grinch loses all his blueprints for his gadgets while planning to steal Whoville's christmas. He has to search in 4 environments to obliterate everything to complete several tasks in Whoville, the Whoforest, the dump, and Who Lake. and retrieve these blueprints to create his Rotten Egg Launcher, Slime Gun, Rocket Spring, Octopus-climbing device, Marine Mobile and Grinch Copter. That's the basic object of the whole game. If you complete enough tasks and destroy enough gifts, you can open up 3 "sup-a-dows" which are doors that lead to cool games inside the Grinch's lair up on Mount Crumpit. The first one has a bunch of poles that you swing from to get to the finish line in the limited time. The second one is where you just smash as many pumpkins as you can and try to beat your time. The third one is where you just fly with the Grinch Copter through rings to the finish line in the limited time. All 3 of them have limited times. Later on, you can take a sleigh ride to stop Santa! I got 100 percent. Games like "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory" for PS2 was much easier and I only beat that in a couple of days. "The Grinch" will take a lot longer, but it's worth playing for the fun of it.
BEST GAME IN YEARS!!!!

i have over 22 games at my house for my playstation1. the best game i have ever played was the grinch. there are only 4 levels to be honest and it took me less than a week to get there. but heres the catch:
by the time i got to level 4 i was only 30% of the way done. there are sooooooo many tasks on each level and you need to get to other levels first and then go back. many parts of the game are confusing but with some walk thru cheats (aol key word: the grinch playstation game cheats) you will get the hang of it within a short amount of time. my mom plays it, i play it (im 13) and my 10 year old sister plays it too. we play together to figure things out.
on the package it says 1 or 2 players... it lied:)
i give the game 10 stars so does the rest of my family:)
the graphics are amazing
enjoy gamin:)
