My husband bought this for our 8 year old daughter a few months ago. She loves it (at 8, she does get occasionally frustrated with the more challenging levels). When she needed help she would ask her dad and 12 year old sister. The three of them are now addicted. They all three play it and no one minds when the younger one happens to need help with this game. A big hit at our house.

Loads of fun for all ages!

We have 3 boys (ages 8, 7, & 3) and 2 girls (ages 6 & 7) and they ALL love playing this one! The two oldest boys used to be the only ones that played their DS's.....now everyone wants to play Monkey Ball - even Mom and Dad!

Fun game for younger kids

I recently purchased this game for my 6 year old son. It is now his favorite DS title. Monkey Ball contains an entire collection of fun action games.

Pros:
- Contains a collection of fun action games on one "disk"
- Easy to use for younger children - no reading required
- Fun with no violence
- It seems to be challenging
- Kids up to college age borrow the game and have fun with it

Cons:
- Repetitive music could drive parents crazy during long car rides (-;

Great game and fun!

Super Monkey Ball Touch & Roll is an obsessively fun game where you control a little monkey in a ball, and you have to roll him all around obsacle courses to reach the goal-with a time limit! I loved Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 for the Gamecube, and was addicted to Monkey Ball Jr. for the GameBoy Advance, so I found 'Super Monkey Ball Touch & Roll' to be a neat addition to my DS library.

There are, however, some drawbacks. This version of Monkey Ball does not have the small map on the screen like previous Monkey Ball games, and I found this a downside. Also, on Monkey Race, in the party game section, you cannot use the D-pad to move. Once you get the hang of using the stylus, though, it gets pretty easy.

All in all, this game was fun and quite easy. I would reccomend it for all ages.

I really liked this game at first. There are 6 mini games, racing and air hockey are my favorite. When i first started playing it was a lot of fun. After a while i had trouble with a few of the levels. There are some levels that are impossible and i haven't beaten them after about a billion tries. I am stuck on those levels and i only play the mini games now.

it's good.

I've been a fan of monkey ball for a little bit now. True, I've never played it on nintendo before, only x-box, but I thought this was a good edition to the franchise. There are 100 levels, i guess half of which are truly new. I was never exactly an expert on the xbox version, but there were a good amount of really challenging levels here. My main complaint is the amount. Weren't there like 3 times the amount in previous versions? As for controls, the stylus is fine. I got used to it in about 5 minutes, and i see no reason everyone can't get used to it. The d-pad works too, but the stylus is better for most of the levels. there are a few levels, however that are probably meant for the dpad, as they require precision of direction over manouverability. It's actually pretty clever how they did that. As for minigames, I've been pissed that monkey target is missing, but I didn't realize you can unlock minigames. if it's not an unlockable, then I'd say that's a big flaw. i mean, that's what my friends and I play, target and boxing. what else is there? seriously. overall it's a solid edition to monkey ball in my opinion. i had fun with it. just wish it were longer.

The Ball Isn't Rolling

I often at times have played a game that seemed very challenging, but at to often other times, it just really isn't as fun at all. That has been the case with so many games for the Nintendo DS. Although there have been so many notible games like Super Mario 64 DS, Meteos and and Pokemon Trozei, there are just some rendered games for the Nintendo DS that really haven't lived up to the hype. For Super Monkey Ball as a franchise, has really grown fairly well with all the different kinds of obstacles and manuver you have to undergo, it can be quite challenging as it was for the Nintendo Gamecube. But can the monkey keep rolling for the Nintendo DS.

Super Monkey Ball: Touch and Roll for the Nintendo DS isn't really anything new for people who've played earlier rendiditions of Super Monkey Ball before, but the game is simple. You have to guide your monkey to the goal post within a certain amount of time. There are nearly 100 different mazes and courses that can just be so frustrating, you can just keep rying, and lose track. The controls on the Nintendo DS edition are a bit more frustrating, and difficult to keep tabs of. The game isn't all bad, there are some great mini-games for you to uncover and unlock, although similar and returning games like monkey bowling, tabletop hockey, and so many others to play as well.

All in all Super Monkey Ball: Touch and Roll isn't one of the most best games that made it onto the Nintendo DS, but it definitely isn't one of the worst either. If you haven't played it on the Gamecube, you might want to give this a try.
