My niece loves it, she has seen the optional book before, but according to her, you can figure it yourself, it's more fun.

My teenage daughter has been a pokemon fan since she was in first grade. This game was one of the things she wanted for Christmas! She really likes the way the storyline changes and it adds a new perspective to the game. It departs from the traditional Ash-Pikachu duo and introduces the "Pokemon Rangers". Pokemon fans of all ages will definitely like it.... My daughter will probably give it 5 stars....

When we received our great grandsons santa list we were happy to find this item availabe on our computer. Luckily we are still able to shop on line and Amazon had the item ! He loves it and we are so happy you shipped it so quickly.

This is the best pokemon game for the DS so far. I played the demo at the pokemon 10th anniversary in New York, and I loved this game as soon as I started. It is a very cool and unique way to catch pokemon, and this time they go back to the wild and don't have to be cramped up in pokeballs. This is probubly the best DS game out so far, but I wish it could have been a bit longer, it seemed to go by too quick.

This is the BEST games ever! I cought a lot of pokemon. Definitely not boring and great value for the price paid. Anyone interested in POKEMON must have this game in their collection! This is a KEEP game.

As a long-time Pokémon fan, I figured I had to give this game a chance. That, and I wanted Manaphy in Diamond. But anyway, I got addicted pretty quick. Unfortunately the plot line was over pretty quick too. After clocking in less than 10 hours of saved game time (add in about 1 more hour for when I died after a save point), I had beaten the game. Due to my short attention span and loss of patience when I got stuck, it took me 2 days to beat.
I do like that once you beat the plot line there are additional tasks, which I am still in the process of doing... But I have a feeling those will run out soon, and I'll be done.
Good game, but far too short!
