Just one word: A MASTERPIECE

I bought this game almost one year ago and I still like to play it (Such games are rather rare).
This game is so realistic! You give your orders at the start of a working week or during the weekend. This is realistic, because in the real world you can't be everywhere at the same moment and you can't give orders during your working week.
It's still fun because every game has different gangsters and the maps are each time randomly generated. No two games are the same.
If you want a game which will keep you busy for a while and you don't want to spend much money on it (only 10$!), I would say: BUY GANGSTERS

good strategy game with real time Combat

This game is basically turn based with a real time gameplay period where your orders from the strategy phase are carried out , or not. You can follow your guys around town as they attempt to carry out your orders on time. You buy weapons , cars and property to improve your chances and build your income to pay your ever growing gang. This was a great game for this type theme . Have been waiting for a good sequal to it but Gangsters 2 was a let down. They changed too much of the best parts of the original.

In gangsters your the boss, you decide
who lives, who dies,nobody does nothin' unless
you give the order. this is by far the best mafia game
out there.so why did i only give it 4 stars? because the
cover of the box could have been done better.So what are
you doin reading this review, buy the game so you can
hit the streets and get into the action.

I did not like this game at all. The instuction manual is like the size of a phone book, what is that? The graphics stink, music stinks, I think it is the worst Eidos ever made.

This game stinks! no better way to put it, I think that you would enjoy Swat 2 instead or black and white, I wish I never bought this one.

I think this is the worst PC game I own. I had bought it from the overpriced electronics boutique when it was new. I have it for like 3 years, and all it does is collect dust on my self. I think that it stinks, if you dont believe me just buy it and see for yourslef how bad this game really is. I have to admit Amazon gives you a better price than I paid. But it is not worth it, the games graphics stink, music is awful, and playability, I must say the worst I have even seen. I would givee it minus -5 stars if their was such a thing. Try something like Unreal or Half-Life instead, they are more fun.

This game while it can get complicated is alot of fun. It has alot of very good points to it. It is the most realistic gang style game I have found as it lets you corrupt officials, build fronts and illegal bussiness as well as legitimate. You can even run for mayor of the city. a difinte good buy.

This game is good. this game is fun. this game has many options and features. this game is criminal and yet decent. This game makes you the boss and how your run your mob determines your rank. Go for it. Have a blast playing this one.

This game is a very good game. It has many way to approch it so it never becomes boring. Much better then it's sequal Gangsters 2. It is not easy though but not impossible. I enjoyed this game very much and I recommend this game to anyone who likes sim games.
