Loads of fun but very short.

Let me start out by saying this game is a blast. It is a load of fun, has some great puzzles and great moments and you get to know the character. Having said this, it is also a very short game. Most of the puzzles will not prove too much of a challenge if you've played any other adventure games. I think the first time I played through it tooks ~4 hours with no hints over two days. It was a load of fun though, so I decided that since I knew all the puzzles, I would play it again. It took ~1.5 hours total time to play through the entire game, and this is not skipping the cutscene movies.

At the original retail price of about $40, this game was short to the point of being close to disappointing, but at $10 you will definitely get your money's worth. It's a blast from LucasArts who also makes amazing adventure games such as The Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion, Zac McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders, and Sam and Max Hit the Road (all excellent, buy them all).

In short, pick this game up now if you haven't played it before.

Those of you looking for a cool adventure game should seriously consider this. Unlike other genres, adventure games don't NEED the latest graphics to prove that they're good. They need plot and puzzles. Unlike most games of its type, Full Throttle doesn't mess around trying to crack crappy jokes, but at the same time it doesn't take itself too seriously. All the characters are totally believeable and you warm to them really well (the good guys, anyway). Its hard to make a game that will make the gamer care. This really nice guy gets murdered in it, and you're actually touched deep down and its quite emotional, as if it were a film.

Another great thing about this game is that you can fight on the road. As a biker, you get to fight other bikers using chains, fists, planks of wood, whatever you can find. You also get to take part in a destruction derby. Add that to the fact that the music is seriously cool. With perhaps the exception of Iron Maiden in Carmageddon 2, this has the best soundtrack ever. You can find the soundtrack on an album by the Gone Jackals called Bone To Pick.

This game has it all. Plot, meaning, puzzles, action and emotion, and fortunately it is cliche-free. Don't bother shelling out on the new Monkey Island games (which are nothing compared to the first two), go buy this now. It may be little short, but it's a classic.

I must say that this is one of the....no..... THE BEST adventure game i ever played. Maybe its graphics aren't as much advanced as the new Indiana Jones and stuff but believe me, the graphics is just good enough for u enjoy. This game is hek of a fun. The main character Ben, well, if u give stupid commands he laughs at u, the game is programmed that way. The guy loves his bike a lot so try not harming the bike. U can't anyway. The CAVE FISH PART OF THE game is the best, important, interesting and tough part of the game. And i must add that the music used in the game IS FANTASTIC. If u're lookin for an adventerous game, this is the first one u should buy. IF this isn't a good game, i dunno what is!

Great, great, great game; my all-time favorite

This game is my favorite game of all time. It is absolutely funny, it is absolutely fun, and absolutely a game you should get regardless of how old it is. Note: Full Throttle will work in Windows XP just fine. So get it!

Great game

This game is, quite possibly my fifth favorite game (next to the monkey island series, of course!) LucasArts are in my opinion the best adventure game creators on the market. This game is very similar to Monkey Island or Grim Fandango (in fact its made by the same person who created Grim Fandango I believe). I enjoyed playing this game so much, that I was devastated when I lost it. There are days when you can find me rummaging through my basement trying to find that jewel case. But that's not the point. This game has excellent controls (point & click interface and an inventory for all the items that you may find useful along the way. This game is tremendously long the first time through if you do not use any walkthroughs or tips. It can get slightly tiring when you find yourself walking back and forth searching for a person or object that you may have missed before. Even if you do use walkthroughs, the game is a satisfying experience. I have beaten it at least 4 times, and each time it is still as good as the first, mainly because you can still experience the thourough storyline that Full Throttle delivers.

I have not decided whether I should buy this game again, and I think I might wait until Full Throttle 2 comes out to consider it. All in all, a great adventure game with hours of endless fun. Quite an experience.

Yeahahah...

It's big, it's bad, and... it's a point-and-click adventure game... But it's a great adventure game to play though. It's only take about 10-20 Hours to go through.

Full throttle is a must-have

This game is great. I recommend it to anyone who loves adventure, esepecially monkey island. No, it's not as challenging as monkey island, the puzzles are quit simple, but dang is it fun. This game is more focused on a serious story than making you chuckle, which could be good or bad depending on which type of game player you are. The graphics are great for their age, but will undoubtedly look out-dated know days. There is plenty of well acted dialoge, nothing corny or forced. A must have hard-core players.

Rarely do I play a game and then try to hunt it down years later because it was so good. I use a Mac, so I couldn't just buy it here. Instead I tracked it down through an auction. The game was just as good as I remember it. Sure, the graphics are not as advanced as current adventure games, but the plot and puzzles are ten times better than anything Monkey Island has to offer. Ten dollars is a steal for this game. You have to buy it - just add it on to your next order and you won't regret it.

Good Game

Ok, I got this game free with a then new computer. Anyway, this game is actually pretty fun. The graphics are ok, and the gameplay is pretty good. There's a level where your riding around on your bike, and you pull up to people and beat them up using various weapons you've picked up. Overall great game, however LucasArts is currently making a Full Throttle 2, so, do whatever. Fork out the 10 bucks and get the new game also, you won't be disappointed.

Short, but exhilarating

The funny quips, the no-nonsense attitude...if this game were longer, I'd say this was one of the best LucasArts put out there. Unfortunately, it's a quick run-through, and only offers enough to want seconds. The music fits the mood perfectly, and the controls are obvious and intuitive. The puzzles aren't that hard, but it's a great game for young adolescent males. Hopefully none of the humor is lost on 'em, 'cause it's one of the better, more mature Lucas titles.
