One Of The Best Puzzle Games Ever

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 14 / 16

I have never really been a fan of Tetris so i was a bit dubious when this game came out as every one that i knew was comparing it to Tetris. Well i have to say that it is nothing like Tetris and it is a fantastic game. The major thing about it that i liked is the games originality. The game play is everlasting, the graphics are superb. I like how you have to build your land to fill it up with water which you then have to drain in order to then fill back up again. The multiplayer mode on wetrix is good, i love playing against my friends and when they have a lot of water in their base i unleash a set of bombs which instantly fills up their water tank.

One of the best puzzle games of all time!

Wetrix is one of the best. It combines the idea of Tetris with an original goal: To build as many lakes as you can without overflowing. And with so many powerups and powerdowns such as bomb attacks, fireballs, rubber duckies, earthquakes and ice, this game is far from boring. And like Tetris, as you proceed through the levels the pieces fall faster, making the game chaotic, yet entertaining. And with 2-player action, challenges, and special secrets, Wetrix is the perfect game for any puzzle loving gamer.

Strategy and Timing Skills with a Good Variety of Options

I love this game, my wife hates it because I play it too much. It requires strategy and good hand eye coordination. It is not violent.

It is much like a 3-D tetris with earthquakes, rain, ice and other hazards thrown in to test you.

I must admit that my kids don't play it much.

There is a two-player mode which we enjoyed a lot more while I was learning the game. None of the rest of the family kept up with me and were not able to stay competitive.

Aggrivating & limited

I bought this game based on its good reviews in the game magazines. But I was deeply disappointed. The colors are washed out, making it difficult to actually _see_ the water on the board. The 3-d gameplay is vague. It is difficult to figure out where the the piece is as it is falling. The walls are lumpy, indistinct hills, further confusing things.

All of these combine to produce a game that makes it impossible to play very deliberately - frustrating in a puzzle game.

This game was on sale when i bought and i thought ,"how bad could it be ?", well i found out . It was a boring premise behind the entire game concept, and the only way you really have any chance as a beginner is to play in the practice mode. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to be bored and disappointed anyone else i say dont waste your time.

Outstanding game that is very addictive if you have the patience to figure it out and get good at it. Its a great change of pace from GoldenEye or Sports games etc.

Wetrix is all wet!

I love tetris and other puzzle type games, but I really didn't like Wetrix at all. You take game pieces and try to build "lakes" that will not let water escape from your board. That doesn't seem too unusual, but they way the board is angled and how it shifts around makes it very difficult to set the pieces down...not to mention making you seasick! If you want a good tetris game for the N64, spend your money on the New Tetris, or Disney's Magical Tetris Challenge.
