Classic Creep Capers

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 2 / 2

This Scooby-Doo game is fun, but Shaggy gets scared way too much, and by almost everything! He even got scared by some fake moving waves and palm trees in the third level. Also, it is hard to control Shaggy when he is skiing in the second level. All in all, it is a great game, staying true to the classic Scooby characters. It is fun because it challenges your mind, and is full of twists and detective work. If you are a true blue of Scoob and the gang I'm sure you'll love this game!

This is a great game to play with children under 6. Although it is a one player game, my daughter loves to watch me play it, and I enjoy it as well. It is very different from most other video games that she and my son play; it has a narrative plot and the operator is charged with successfully solving 4 mysteries at 4 different locations: Museum, Ski Lodge, Tropical Island, Castle. Several of the reviews I read stated that there were 3 mysteries. Keep trying!

Scooby-Doo: Classic Creep Capers VERY, VERY, VERY FUN

I got this game for my birthday and I liked it a lot. The reason is I like things to do with Scooby Doo. Its challenging for little kids, but little kids who love Scooby Doo will really love this game. I mean it will be their favorite Nintendo 64 game. I really injoyed it. 2 thumbs WAY WAY UP!!!!!

I bought this game because my daughter is a BIG Scooby fan but sadly she and i were disappointed. For one, she's 5 and she can't read subtitles! Not to mention that even i, who is pretty good at playing these games, couldn't figure it out! Maybe if they would have developed it with sound it would help to figure out what your supposed to do and where. They need to take this one back to the drawing board.

HORRIBLE !! Don't Waste Your Money !!

This is the worst N64 game I've ever played, and we have over 50. It's even worse than Superman 64 if you can imagine that. The controls are horrible. It's nearly impossible to move Shaggy around because the character won't respond, and every few seconds the camera shifts angles and (get this) you have to let go of the control stick before the controls will adjust to the new camera view, so you're spending about half of your time going in the wrong direction. I had to buy this game because it was a birthday wish, but the birthday boy, 7, spent all of 5 minutes with this $50+ turkey before announcing that he will never play it again. And who can blame him? Bad blocky graphics, annoying repetitive sound, way too much reading for his 5 year old cousin, and (get this) all you do in the whole game is find something, press A, take the thing someplace inanely obvious, and press A again. Over and over again. No, really, that's it. My son told me "I feel like Scooby Doo and Cartoon Network cheated us."

glad I rented it first

I rented this game for my 4 year old who is a very good gamer! The main problem that I saw was the fact that there is so much reading involved. For younger children, that would be a problem. As I sat there reading every paragraph for my son, I realized that it is a very boring game! Make sure you rent it first!

Easiest game, hardest controls

The only thing that makes this game the slightest bit challenging is the controls. They change on you once you let go of them becuase the camera shifts positions every 5-10 seconds. It's not really a mystery. You find objects lying around in the open flashing, you pick them up and just give them to Fred who is always 2 rooms away! The bad guy also happens to be extremely obvious becuase you arent introdeuced to anyody except for one person. This game defies comics. You can become 2D or hide under leaves when the monster is right next to you, and then he'll go away. You lose courage easily but with scooy snacks always 10-15 footsteps away (Not to mention and easily accesible kitchen to give you full health) you can't lose. I know this game says "inteded for younger audiences" and I'm 13, but my 7 year old brother tottally agrees with me! Beleive me, scooby-doo fans will be dissapointed with this game. Controls are terrible, game is way to easy, not to mention scooby-doo always follows you around like Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow, execpy Scooby gets in your way! Once my brother had to reset the game because scooby had cornered him and made it impossible for him to move! Save your money, buy something else.

Scooby Doo on the top of the charts!

Scooby Doo was excellent on everything it was easy yet so many things to do. It took me two full days to complete the game and I just keep beating it on every two days.

Scooby doo:Classic Creep Capers is a combination of technology and classic Scooby Doo. Based on 3 episodes, it makes it all the much better! The views may be different, but it just adds a level of difficulty that some people dont like. That game needs brains to solve the mysteries, and a deductive mind. Well, you dont have to figure out WHAT it does, but more WHERE it is, and that can be sometimes hard! All in all, the game is one of the best games on N64 (altho i like the Zelda's better). Its a definite 5 STAR RATING from me! SCOOBY HAS ANOTHER HOME RUN!!!!!

WOOHOO!

My mom bought this game for my 6 year old brother, thinking that it would be good since it was recommended for his age group. I had read reviews on many sites, since I am very into video games. All of the reviews warned that the game was meant to seem perfect for little kids, and have simple, easy gameplay. THEY WERE RIGHT, MY MOM WAS WRONG. The annoying camera angles change every 10 seconds, and controlling shaggy in these bad angles is impossible for even me, a seasoned game player since age 5. My brother was very, very dissapointed. Please, heed my warning and don't waste your money on such a poor example of the N64. Buy another game, for your sake.
