Challenging race game that beats MarioKart hands down

Everyone in our family, from Grandma to 5 year olds can play this game. You can play alone and race against 7 other cars, or you can race another player. You are allowed to select your race car/truck and the options you want. You can win cash by running over treasure chests during your race or by placing in the top 3. After each race you can "beef up your truck" by using your cash winnings to buy parts for your car to improve your performance. There are 6 race tracks to choose from. The graphics and scenary are very good. A very entertaining game to play and watch. Our family is putting the sequel to this game on all birthday and Christmas wish-lists.

This game was obviously created quickly for the N64. It has good potential, but was not used in the creation. The best part of the game is the options. You can choose your truck, track and purchase items to "beef" up your truck. I have to agree with other gamers who said it was Cruis'n USA with dirt tracks and trucks. It has the same annoying game control and graphics! I returned my Cruis'n just after I bought it. I kept Off Road however. It is still somewhat fun to play just to see how beefed up you can get you truck. Bottom line; If you are looking for a sim type racer, don't waste your money! But if you want a racer that the whole family can play(even little people)and have fun, this is not a bad game.

Bought this game and played it frequently at first but tired of it fairly quickly. Decent game, but 6 tracks doesn't complete with other games out there.

Very Fun Family Racing

My husband, myself and my 7 year old daughter have a blast with this. We race against each other, along with doing the one player curcuit mode and taking turns to see who can place 4th or better. It is easy enough for kids but still challenging enough to keep us big kids going. Each race is different because you can pick up nitro's to come up from behind or pick up money to boost your car better. Which makes it nice because we all have our turn in winning the game.

off road challenge

As a race driver I have found this game to be fun an exciting at all levels of play. you must focus and show deeep respect to the course and the other drivers. the action is fast and little time for errors or you will be left behind. each course is what the game title states, a Challenge and if you like hair pin corners, icy roads and theres a varitiy of different obsticals to get in your racing way. Play against the game and you'll increase your gaming reflexes, you can win, but it's still tough. Racing against others is filled with that win or crash excitment, each individual driver is pitted against each others skill levels. If this game is so bad in some reviews why is it so hard to find in stores either as new or used. If you like a fast paced game then play this. If you want buttons and bells go elsewhere.

a fun time

My husband and I rent this game all the time. I take it backonly to go in and rent it again. We love playing and competing againsteach other we have a blast. We also like to play against the game when one of us isn't home to play. This game is always in my home but you can't find it in the stores around here to buy and I have looked and have asked to get it ordered. Why is it not in stores to buy? It is the only game we rent anymore. But I would really like to buy it. Thank you for this game.

OFF-ROAD RACING

I FOUND THIS GAME TO BE FUN. THE DIFFERENT SCREENS TO CHOOSE FROM WAS DECENT. I'M NOT A VIDEO GAME NOVICE, BUT THIS WAS FAIRLY EASY TO FIGURE OUT BUT STILL CHALLENGING. I THINK IT'S GOOD FOR THOSE THAT LIKE A CHALLENGE BUT CAN'T DEAL WITH ALL THE EXCESS CONTROL BUTTONS TO HAVE TO FIGURE OUT. IT'S STRAIGHT FORWARD AND A NICE VERSION IF YOU CAN'T DO THE REAL TRUCK RACING. ALL MY FRIENDS THAT HAVE PLAYED IT SAID IT WAS COOL. MY CHILDREN REALLY FIND IT FUN, AND THAT'S DIFFICULT TO FIND FOR TEENAGERS. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.

This game is so cool. You can run in to innocent bystaners. You can also bash into cows, chiken, sheep, ect. ......................... You can even run into the audience!

I would plead with anyone thinking of buying this game, not to. in my opinion it is the worst game i have ever played in my entire life. the graphics, well to put it bluntly, they aren't even up to par with the original nintendo. next the life spend of the game is about a min for there are only 7 tracks, bad ones at that. and lastly the actually gameplay is so poor, i had to throw the game in the trash and it wasn't even mine. it's easier trying to control a run-a-away train than those cars. so please don't waste your payday of this piece of plastic.

this racing game was pretty cool. but i wouldn't buy it it wasn't that great. it was better than some i've played.
