This game has a great look, with Boxing Greats like classic Alli to contemporary stars like Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield. (not to metion the middle and lightweights) From judge Mills Lane to Caesars Palace, this game IS authenicity. Don't listen to the critics. This game has excellent play control and adequate challenge. The career mode is, admittedly, a bit easy. However, I would like to see the guy who wrote the staff review take on Alli with Spinks or Tua in Slugfest hard mode; not an easy proposition! I'm a big boxing fan and love quality video games. Buy KK 2000, its well worth the money of a Lewis-Holyfield pay-per-view event.

If you love sports, you will love this game. The game is fun and highly addictive. It is extremely competetive in career mode (but who does not enjoy a challenge). All character and background graphics are very realistic. I am a sports a videogame fanatic, and i would not dare tell a lie. But, BEWARE! , there is one drawback: the lack of fighters and rings is ridiculous. It is still fun though.
Great when it comes to Slugfest, but stinks in Career

This could be a really great boxing game. Some of the best boxers in the world are featured, and the gameplay is excellent. That is until you get into the career mode.
Many of the players lose their skill when going into their careers, and the computer predetermines who will win the next fight. You could be beating the snot out of your opponent, while you give up little health, but he come's right back and KO's you, and the computer won't let you back up.
That's the major problem with this game. Other than that, I have no beef against it.

The game is real cool to start but after a while it becomes very repetitive. There are only a limited # of characters and you can only play against the computer in one way. The difficulty is not very difficult as well.

This is a great boxing game. The graphics are good, the gameplay is smooth, and there are plenty of boxers to choose from. The create a boxer feature is also a very nice touch. I reccomend that you buy this game.

You can throw your own combination hitting differnt buttomsa-la Street Fighter. There are other combinations that are achallenge to pull off. If you put the challenge level on HARD, you have to master these combinations to beat opponents. This game is not arcade-like or for the 10 year old boy who just want to see a slufest. It's a boxing simulation whose depth of play and realism satisify any true boxing fan. Believe me, if you love boxing, you'll love this game.
Just TRY to put it down!

This is one of those games you can pick up to play for a minute or two and a couple of hours later you realize your thumbs are killing you. Addictive is an understatement! I enjoy creating my own players (Darius Q, D Rock Z, and Joe Aquarius are my guys) as well as play in career mode. The best part of this game is the speed at which the characters react. Ali & Sugar Ray are lightening fast and give a real challenge when you think you have the game figured out. There are enough variables to keep me interested, yet easy enough for my 11 year old son and me to have a few hours of fun. I can't wait to see the improvements on the next edition. Buy this (or rent it) and enjoy the fun.
Fun for the first day, [weak] after that

... Muhammad Ali is like a superhuman, George Foreman isn't in it, and the response from the controller is very, very slow. (for example, if you press the "a" button five times very quickly, the character you are will start punching about a second later, and will punch very slowly) I'll admit that the character selection is pretty good, but i had this game for about 7 months, and I must have played it about 4 times total. If you want a good boxing game, get "Ready 2 Rumble". This game is very easy also.

This is one of my favorite games. The graphics and sounds are exceptional. I don't really like fighting games, but I love this one. It's very well done. Beware; it's highly addictive!
