Makes You Long for Old-School...

Kirby was definitely one of my favorites for the regular Nintendo way back when... Unfortunately, I never actually owned it. To make up for that dumb mistake, I made another by purchasing this game... There's really not much skill involved... If a specific ability is required, the area will have a color indication of which one is needed... Basically if you're going to play a game that moves in one direction (mainly forward), get something like Crash Bandicoot for the Playstation, something that represents some semblance of a challenge... Kirby needs to make the jump that Mario and Zelda have made...

My 6 year-old cousin LOVES it

I play this game with my 6 year-old cousin and he absolutely loves it- he beat the first two levels completely by himself. He loves using Kirby to swallow enemies & mix powers to make cool attacks like power drill, flaming arrow, snowflakes, boulders, spikes, fireworks, etc, and now he thinks he's a video game expert. I am 16 and even I have a lot of fun playing it even though it's way too easy for me-- I would definitely recommend for young children. It's PERFECT as a Beginner's game: it's cute, cheerful, non-violent, and the controls (D Pad and A + B buttons) are easy enough for little kids to master by themselves.

WOW! BUY THIS GAME!

Boo Yah!, Kirby rocks! This game has over 25 levels, each with at least 3 parts in the level itself! You start as Kirby, with a mini video showing the plot of the game. Then, the game asks you if you know about Kirby's copy ability. You can get fire abilities, rock power, lightning power, ice power, cutting power, and you can even throw some of your body at the enemies! You can also get combos for 2 powers. For example, if you get lightning and ice power, you are able to turn into a refridgerator, and throw food at the enemies(ice inside a fridge, it needs electricity to run)! For chidren under 10,with little experience, the game will be a moderate challenge. For 10 and over, htis might nbe a little on the easy side. But, there are 3 files, so you can start another file. Every level is long, and the last level on the star(first is Pop Star, each containing 4-6 levls) is a boss. The multiplayer is equally good, with 3 crazy games enough to get you exited. In a summary, a very good game with exiting levels, mutiplayer, and a clever plot.

Just a cream puff? I don't think so...

Kirby. This name brings back memories from ever since I was about maybe 6-7 years old. Game-boy, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, in all these systems I owned, Kirby games were some of the most fun and enjoyable ones in the bunch. Now, after a year or so of waiting Kirby 64 explodes onto the scene.

The plot is this. A planet is being attacked by a strange and powerful enemy called Dark Matter. A fairy, picking up the precious crystal of the planet, escapes only to be followed by three smaller Dark Matters that separated from the large one. After a short and fast pursuit the three Dark Matters manage to shatter the crystal and knock the fairy out of conttrol. Clutching a shard the fairy falls on Pop Star, home of Kirby, and by chance lands on our hero. The fairy then asks Kirby to help her find all the Crystal Shards and rescue her plnaet from the evil Dark Matter. With a glimspe into the sunset, and a nod, our hero excepts the task and begins his journey... this is how it all begins.

This game can be explained in one word. Great. It's a cute but still awsomeley cool game. Kirby now can hold up to two powers, making great combinations to surpass the enemies and get through the somewhat challenging levels. Experienced gamers will maybe find the game easy, but in my opinion the game still holds a very good challenge. There is a lot to do, you have to find all the crystal shards to see the full ending of the game and to fully beat it. It's a great game for all Kirby fans and even those who may not be.

The multiplayer games are fun to play and support up to four gamers. The multiplayer games include a mad, very cool, battle on a checkerboard where the objective is to knock your oponent off by knocking the floor out from under him. The second is a hopping race where you have to avoid hazards such as frogs and water puddles to reach the finish line. The third and final is a fruit catching game where you must "bump" your oponents out of the way to catch the most fruit. All of these are very fun and great for a family or a bunch of friends.

The graphics are an awsome mix of 2-d and 3-d elements that work together to create great looking levels. The flash of the electricity and the view of factory machines working in the background are very well-made and cool to look at.

The powers you recieve from inhaling enemies are very cool and some are even funny. In this game you can have up to two powers at once to create even stronger and better powers. The combos include a double light saber or even a very awsome looking fireworks show! A definate must see. In all these powers and combos just add to the games high fun factor.

The characters are directly from the other games and some are new additions to the Kirby collection of characters. Good guys include Waddle-Dee, a very cute, cool dude that helps you by riding with you on rafts and working machines. An artist named Adeline that in some levels supplies you with items to recover your life, etc. The fairy that was attacked by the bad guy who sort-of helps you by carrying the crystal shards. And finally, King De-De-De, an ancient rival of Kirby who now sides with the pink dude and helps out by clearing obstacles and at times you even control him through parts of levels! All the characters are very cute, cool and a help throughout the game.

The controls are easy to learn and the gameplay is excellent. You travel through many planets to reach the fairy's planet and rescue it from Dark Matter. The whole game is filled with puzzles to solve and enemies to battle, etc. The fun factor of this game is high.

The sort of bad things about the game is that there isn't a two player mode for like the adventure mode. This would have been great but I mean, it's still a cool game. The other is that some of the levels are easy and the bosses can be easy at times. But still, despite the cons that this game holds the game still rates very high for fun, great multiplayer mode and an all out great game. The sound effects are great. When enemies are destroyed there's a sound like a pop or something and the music is exciting and keeps you in the spirit.

Parents are also in for a treat. The game has no blood, guts or gore, a thing I beleive parents apreciate. The animated violence is really not bad a enemies just disapear with a puff of smoke or a crackle of electricity. This is a great game for any age. I recomend this game to Kirby fans and anyone else who wants a game that's just fun to play. A definetly great game for anyone and well worth the money.

Hey he's pink, but just don't blink, cause this cream puff is here to save the day!

Kirby was a very fun game even if it wasn't the most challenging game I've ever played. Kirby is so cute and it was fun to mix and match the different powers to see what will happen. (My favorite is this firework move that you get when you mix fire and bomb power.) I hope that Nintendo will come out with more adventures with this cute puffball we know named KIRBY! Ughhh....don't get me wrong-this game isn't bad. In fact, I love the idea of combining the enemies you'ved digested and rip the rest of your enemies to pieces with their own medicine. And the mini-games are excellent for when you have a sleep-over or something. But the downside...heart shaped planets, music that's a bit too jolly, and some enemies don't exactly look like enemies...No, I'm not a violence oriented game freak, in fact, I don't own a rated M game, and I never have, but this game is just...too happy. This game is a definite rent for a Kirby fan, and Kirby fans will love this game. But I assure you, you might not wanna look at pink for the next couple of days.
