Clayfighters 63 1/3 is an o.k. game. The graphics are good and the characters are cool but character special moves are hard to execute. Also,to obtain three of the characters you must know a few codes. This really stinks if you don't know these codes.Overall this game is o.k. but there are fighting games that are alot better.

I'm never reading Gamespot Review again!

Let's not mince words here: Clayfighter 63 1/3 is a poorly put-together game. The game had a lot of possibilities, but everything lacks polish. Characters are missing frames of animation, backgrounds look decent but unexceptional, and the fighting engine lacks the strategy of Street Fighter, the speed of Killer Instinct, or the playability of Mortal Kombat. In any normal world, this would be a one star game.

Except somewhere along the way, Clayfighter 63 1/3 is so bad that it actually becomes good. Character design is pretty good, and the special moves and taunts are hilarious. The game is playable - not in any way that it can compete with the above-mentioned games, but it still makes you want to come back for another round, if just to see all the things the characters can do. There's also a bit more value once you unlock the secret characters, though it's frustrating that there's no save function that keeps these character unlocked.

Certainly not worth full retail price, but the N64 is dead now so you should be able to snag this game for dirt cheap. Also be on the lookout for the Sculptor's Cut version: this was a Blockbuster-only release, but most were sold off as pre-played games. It contains a hilarious singing intro, 4 new characters, and other enhancements.

I don't know what to say.

Not a game. It's not a game. A wreaky combo system that rips off another cool game? WRETCHED GRAPHICS. Cheap moves. Idiotic music. GAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I can't quite figure out why it's in the game section. How about, put it in the, I barfed upon a floppy disk and called it a N64 title. 63 1/3?! Is that supposed to be funny?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NotTT!! If you got the game's best moments. It's best animations, it's best characters. It's best moves, and the best everything! And put it together. It would be an ABU diaper. Please, and I mean, PLEASE!!!! Don't EVER and I mean EVER waste your money on this game. Please, I beg of you.

I would rather play peekaboo in a kid's playhouse than play this. Do not save this for rainy days, do not save it for any days. Destroy this, burn it. Break open the disgusting plastic cartrige and then pull out the belt sander on the memory chip. Then take the ashes and spit them to non existence......... That's all.....

Good For The Price

I have been a fan of the whole of the Clay Fighter series and i have to say that i am slightly disappointed with this one. The graphics are okay, there are plenty of characters to choose from, but i think that it is far to easy and that the game had been rushed. The price is excellent and i recommend to everyone that you get this as the price of this game wont be around for long. If you want the best fighting game on the N64 then i wouldnt recommend this, but if you want some fun then this is the game for you

This is definetly a game not to be overlooked. I admit the graphics are somewhat pathetic , but overall the rest of the game is truly a treat. Some critics say it really was a disappointing game, but at least rent it and try it. It is truly a good game. Although the graphics in this game below par, backround is good. Also the characters move in a slightly choppy manner. But if you ignore the pathetic visuals for a little while, and actually concentrate on what you're doing this is a fun game.

The gameplay is very enjoyable. I like the fact that you have to discover secret moves unique to each character. It is a very challenging game. I also found the characters entertaining in their own special way. For instance Kung Pow was a cooking-show host who ended up being a cruise-ship athletics instructor. And Houngan the ping-pong ball eyed voodoo doctor. This game has many funny qualities that some people would pass up as stupid. But that's what makes this game good. Stupid humor. The controls aren't confusing like that of Resident Evil that moves like a remote control car. Or like Tekken that has tons of combos (also suggested for it's variety of interesting characters and attacks). Although if you want to take your game to an advanced level you can go into a "Tekken Fighter" situation and try cool combos. Such as Icky Bod Crane has this really great combo that kills your player, not instantly, but it slowly drains your life. It is practicaly impossible to accomplish, but the challenge is that the computer is really good at attaining that level. Another fun addition to this game is it's availibility of cheat codes. I won't give them to you but they are availible. Let's say you are an expert with all the characters and you need a new challenge. Use a cheat code to earn characters like (my personal favorite) Sumo Santa, or Boogerman. You can also have a stage select option (very handy when frustrated with a particularly tough character). So that about raps up the game. So after having and playing this game for about a year or more, I say this game is a good addition in any Nindendo 64 collection.

A must play game

Although this game's graphics are not the best, it has a great selection and some of the characters are extremely funny. A good example is Sumo Santa or Tayffy. Sumo Santa punches and kicks with his stomach and and smacks opponents over the head with a candy cane. Taffy always does spaz attacks and throws gumballs. Although you probally will not like this game at first, you will like it once you get to know the character's moves and specialtys. I'd say you defintaly get your moneys worth if you buy this game. If you don't buy it, you should at least play it.

Awsome game!

This is one of my favorite games of all times. I like all of the players and how they're made out of clay right in front oof your eyes. If you like fighting games I think you will like this!

I bought this game way back and recently played it again.. well..

the game was easy to beat when i was 6 and its still as easy.

Well, my problem(s)?

Not enough characters and its just not very fun and.. yeah that makes it boring.. but if ur a fan of the older games ( like me ) you may like this game ( unlike me )

It's cheap now so, I guess it wouldn't hurt to pick it up.. it costs as much cash as to rent a game at the videostore..

so do what you want with it.

This game is not bad, just not well liked.

It varies from person to person. 99 percent of people hate it to hell. I am in the 1 percent. This game is playable and can tick your friends off.
The music is bad, but you will not notice it that much. It is quiet enough to ignore. Sound is bad also. Speech can be funny, but only impossible to annoy a patient person. Characters yell out random words of priases. My favorite? It came from the voodoo docter, CLUCK YOU!
Gameplay is where I liked it. Fighting moves are really made up, bout you can enjoy it enough. Combos are auto and are triggered at competly random times. There may be no skill, I get happy and brag. In fact, if you trigger a combo right before the opponent dies, you can get over 1000 hits!
Yes, the kid is right. The characters do drop things that relate to them. Taffy for instance, will drop candy. If you are willing to work so for about five minutes on the computer, you can find codes. Unlock characters. Make them look really weird. And yes, replace the spill-its with BLOOD!
This game is most likely not at all for you. I like this. It is not a popular game, but it does find it fans.
At least rent it for your buddy Mr. Insanity? PLEASE?????
