If you are a die hard castlevania then you will get over the fact the game has horrific animation and you can find yourself haveing a hard time controlling it. Graphics are not too bad and te levels are nice and big.
The way last year's Castlevania release should have been...

Castlevania Legacy of Darkness goes back to its roots and borrows the best from earlier games on the original Nintendo platform. True Castlevania fans can draw on their experiences from the previous games such as Castlevania III on the original Nintendo system. The camera angles have been corrected from the Castlevania release from last year - a much needed improvement. The player can choose different characters after defeating Dracula. Although many of the areas appear the same, many differences and enhancements give the game a better feel. Overall, this is the way the game should have been last year! It's great!
Better than the original, but not as good as it should be

The deal with this game is that it's what Castlevania 64 should have been. There are now four characters, and the story seems more intriguing. The only problem is that it still could have been better. Some parts of the game still seem rushed. After Angel Studios were able to get all that audio onto a cart for Resident Evil 2, you would think Konami would be able to have included voice acting for the little dialogue there is in this game. When you have to read all of the dialogue in this, you feel as if you're taking a step back from "Symphony of the Night", when the N64 definately has more capabilities than the PSX. Unfortunately, you still feel as if this was a half-hearted effort... The game is one of the best in the Castlevania series, but SOTN it is not...

This game rules! It was a vast imporovement over the first Castlevania. Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness has everything you could ask for, more levels, better graphics(thanks to the expansion pak), and not to mention the chance to actually play in 3-D as a werewolf! If you spend the time to actually play this game, you might find some very rewarding suprises such as a knight, better costumes, and a Magnum! Overall this is an excellent choice for Castlevania fans, and for players who have never experienced Castlevania, now is the time to sink your fangs into it! Peace!

Castlevania, what else can be said. This game is great. I have been a castlevania fan ever since I first played it on the NES. It was great then, and even better now with this new release. the graphgics are great. Every detail is so real. The diffuculty settings help out new players to the castlevania relm. There are three hidden charcters that add to the games length with new levels and game play. The story takes place 7 years before the charcters in castlevania 64 begin their adventure. I love the castlevania game line, and LEGACY OF DARKNESS makes it even better.
Decent

Ok, being a true fan of the CastleVania series since 1987 when the original was released on NES, I prefer the 2D CastleVania games we all used to know and love. I believe that Konami is failing with 3D attempts at games. They should just give the fans what they want, a 2D CV game once again. But as for the game itself, I guess it's not all that bad. If your a fan of good 3D adventure gaming, pick this up. If you're a big fan of the whole Castlevania series, you might think twice before getting it....................
This game is a must for ALL adventure/platform gamers

This game is one of the toughest, coolest games on the market! Cornell is a real hero, like the Belmonts of the previous CastleVania games. The addition of Henry, Carrie Fernandez, and Reinhardt Scnider made this game almost perfect. The targeting needs some work, and Cornell's wolf form needs the ability to transform back into human form, but otherwise, this game was awesome!
Pretty Good

I am a huge Castlevania fan and this game has hightened my love for the series. While lacking some qualities that made it's predicesors fantastic, this is still a solid game that deserves your time. Any fan and new comers alike, this game offers a outstanding gaming experience.

This game was so cool. It has great graphics and has a cool story. It is like a Resident Evil only with vampires instead of Zombies. Also this game has 4 different players that can only be unlocked as you play through the game. There is also difculty levels Easy, Medium or hard. Plus you don't need to have played the first Castlevania game to understand this game because this game is a prequal to the first game. Also I never played the first one and I love this the second one. The only thing I have to say about this game is that it is simply perfect.
