This game rules! It was a vast imporovement over the first Castlevania. It has everything you could ask for, more levels, better graphics, not to mention the chance to actually play in 3-D as a werewolf! If you spend the time to actually play this game, you might find some very rewarding suprises such as a knight, and a Magnum! Overall this is an excellent choice for Castlevania fans, and for players who have never experienced Castlevania, now is the time to sink your fangs into it! Peace!

This game was o.k. but still not the best compared to the rest. The graphics were better but no one had any cool costumes and you had to waste time getting all the stuff you needed (which took forever) to get to the next level i'd give this game 3 stars.

This is 1 of my favorites!

If you are thinking about getting this game well then what the heck are you waiting for. This game delivers the goods if you want some frightning good entertainment. Believe me, if u want to get a chill from this game turn off the lights, make sure no one is around, turn it up really loud, and go to the hedge maze...
I have to say if this game can freak me out it's gotta be good...

I'll be short but sweet

This is a very underestimated Castlevania game. Althought the 3D graphics are not that good, the gameplay is awesome; you can play four different characters! It is a game I have played over and over again. If you have a Nintendo 64 this game is a must have!

Graphics isnt the main factor in a game...

People need to understand this, instead of passing the game off as poor quality just cause the graphics blow.. its the gameplay that counts. Look at Star Craft, one of the greatest RTS games ever made, its graphics suck but it still has massive players. same with Final Fantasy 6. Gameplay > Graphics dont judge a game based on its cover... i mean graphics ^.^

Now on to the game.
The game is pretty identical to the 1st one as far as gameplay goes. So if u liked the 1st one then u will like this one. I think the story part is sort of a filler. Something to get ur mind in a transilvania type of state. Not a very difficult game, once you know how to play. Still fun tho.

Decent

Ok, being a true fan of the CastleVania series since 1987 when the original was released on NES, I prefer the 2D CastleVania games we all used to know and love. I believe that Konami is failing with 3D attempts at games. They should just give the fans what they want, a 2D CV game once again. But as for the game itself, I guess it's not all that bad. If your a fan of good 3D adventure gaming, pick this up. If you're a big fan of the whole Castlevania series, you might think twice before getting it....................

This game is a must for ALL adventure/platform gamers

This game is one of the toughest, coolest games on the market! Cornell is a real hero, like the Belmonts of the previous CastleVania games. The addition of Henry, Carrie Fernandez, and Reinhardt Scnider made this game almost perfect. The targeting needs some work, and Cornell's wolf form needs the ability to transform back into human form, but otherwise, this game was awesome!

If you are a die hard castlevania then you will get over the fact the game has horrific animation and you can find yourself haveing a hard time controlling it. Graphics are not too bad and te levels are nice and big.

a great classic only gets better

Castlevania, what else can be said. This game is great. I have been a castlevania fan ever since I first played it on the NES. It was great then, and even better now with this new release. the graphgics are great. Every detail is so real. The diffuculty settings help out new players to the castlevania relm. There are three hidden charcters that add to the games length with new levels and game play. The story takes place 7 years before the charcters in castlevania 64 begin their adventure. I love the castlevania game line, and LEGACY OF DARKNESS makes it even better.
