Sims2 Fun Stuff is Fluff

3 Rating: 3, Useful: 6 / 8

I'm glad I read the -/+ reviews before I decided to buy it. I knew it was lukewarm leftovers before I decided to spend the $$. Not much substance to it as an expansion pack. However, it was a "gift" for getting excellent grades in school.

It was not worth the money. Not enough good stuff in the pack

Not what I expected

That's what I get for not reading the reviews here first before ordering.

I agree with the others that the amount of items don't seem right for the price.

I would still buy it though, because the people who make the things for the online sites will probably be using some items from this pack for the mesh and without this pack, you won't be able to use the custom content from it. I look forward to what those artists can create using this pack!

Cute stuff but not amazing

I got the family fun stuff recently hoping for more clothing choices and maybe some new actions for families to do together. Mostly it had things for little kids like castle themed beds and the like. I think I would still have bought it had I known what it really contained, but I think they should have called it Kid Stuff.

I wouldn't suggest it

After a lot of indepth research on everything for The Sims 2 for the PC, I wouldn't suggest wasting your money on this. I do not own the Sims 2 for the PC currently, but I own all the other ones expect the new ones (the mobile phone one which I don't want, and the DS one that I don't want) and the other PC version.

I've been a player for years and am an huge fan of the game.

As for the person who said that they thought it was a game.. sorry, but that was your fault. You can not blame Amazon for that. You should never trust un-official resources. Go to thesims2.ea.com for accurate information. If you look at the system requirements for it there, you will notice that it says you must have the Sims 2. And it has said that before May 7th (when you posted your review) as I've had my eye on this game sense March.

And for the person who said it messed up their game... system requirements - did you check them? I'm not trying to defend this expansion pack, as I do not like it myself, but you can't blaim the pack for something that is not their fault, but your own for not being more careful and not researching a lot more like I am doing.

I don't know why all the bad reviews. If you love the sims, are addicted to the sims, live for the sims, you will buy anything and everything sims. That being said, this is a great addition to your kids' room and people with longings to decorate their home in a fantastical, fantasy way. I waited too long because of the bad reviews and I regret it. This is a fantastic addition to an already incredible game. Also, 15 dollars is not a lot. Go buy it before the next one comes along and you are left behind.

Please no!

As the other users said before, this game is just for money making. There are great FREE Stuff pages on the web with great stuff to download.

I'm from Germany and this Stuff Package won't sell here very well, too. I mean Maxis promised weather and so on in the Trailers for Sims 2, didn't they? I mean they should include something interesting like Weather or Seasons or something like this into the Stuff Packages. That would make sense and that would be interesting, too.

Again, I think that these Stuff Packages are just money making, and that's disappointing and unfair for us users, especially since we - mostly - bought Sims 1 and all the Expansion Packs before.

Sorry Maxis - here's Game Over.

Nice for the kids

I bought this shortly after it was released at a Target store--paid about $15 for it. I really like the castle collections, as I, too, was bored with the clouds and other dull collections. While you can produce a really neat collection for the castle, it's really hard to make a more adult themed room. I am in agreeance that it would have been better to have it as a downloadable expansion from their site. I am a die-hard Sims fan as well and I have even pre-ordered the Pets from EA. So far, this is the only expansion that I haven't been head-over-heals for. I am anxiously awaiting the release of the pets.

THIS EXPANSION SUCKS!

This expansion not only sucks, but it froze the PC. NEVER BUY FROM GAMESTOP people! NEVER! They're dirty rotten scoundrels. Its a FAULTY CD and they didn't want to give my money back.
