WARNING. Do Not Purchase

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 9 / 12

Do not purchase this game. Turbine, the game producer, is closing this game down. You will not - I repeat not - be able to play it. Asheron's Call 2 : Legions is an MMORPG and is unplayable once the servers go down.

Just a side note, Turbine released this expansion pack, took everyone's money, and then shut the game down. On purpose, mind you. They were gathering funds for two other products. You are warned. Be careful when purchasing the company's new products: Dungeons and Dragons Online, and Middle Earth.

As for me, I am staying away from Turbine. Shady business practives.

Warning. I purchased this game and the next week Turbine announced that it is shutting down this game at the end of the year. If you are okay with only a few months of play, it's a very nice game. Otherwise, realize that you will be throwing your money away.

I have never played ac2, however in my allegiance in ac 1
we have a employee of turbine sworn to me. and we have been informed that ac 2 will be comming to a close as of december, due to lack of interest and most of the people that tried it liked the orignal version better and sortly after trying ac2 went back to the first version that is still doing well. at this time there is no plans on closing ac 1 or that is now more commonly known as Throne of Destiny. seeing how they will be no Asheron's Call 2: Legions, available in a few short months your better of getting throne of destiny or something else. this information can be checked on the turbine website. for confermation.

Turbine's AC2 worlds are closed now -- AC1 still alive

Turbine closed the Asherons Call 2 servers on December 30th, 2005. Buying the AC2 expansion pack here will only get you a collectors item - perhaps worth something in 20 years.

If you are interested in Asherons Call, the original (Asheron's Call 1) is still going strong. Search here for "Asheron's Call: Throne of Destiny" to find the latest version of AC1.

Turbine has expressed that they plan on keeping AC1 around, and they are still providing content updates, new quests and new adventures every month.
