Excellent Game But............

This game is very good. You have to go around and unlock all of the safes. The whole point is to get all of the clues to unlock the master safe. Do not get this game if you hate doing slider puzzles. The one safe requires that you complete a quite complex slider puzzle before you can go on to others.

Enjoyable Game to Play

The positives written by the other reviewers are pretty accurate & I agree with them. However, there are 2 things to be aware of - first, I had to download a patch because my PC was scrolling way too fast through the inventory. The patch slowed it somewhat, and if you needed an item in the middle, it sometimes took several tries to access it. But you still can, (the items aren't lost) you just have to be patient & keep trying. The other flaw was the really small screen you had to work with. I prefer using my full screen, not a little box. And that made some puzzles harder to do. But other than that, I recommend this game, it certainly was fun. The ending is actually pretty cool, but I won't say more so as not to give it away!

Not much thinking involved

This game is supposed to be puzzles and strategy. Most of the safes are solved by codes, which can be found by opening other safes or located with clues scattered throughout the house. There's little thinking involved. Overall, this games is mildly fun, with cool rooms to explore, but is very easy. Don't bother if you're a seasoned puzzler.

I bought this game for my husbands laptop. I didn't realize that the game would not work with windows xp. So I decided to load it onto my old computer with windows 98. When I turned off the computer and rebooted as required, my window system crashed and I had to load my backup system. I threw the game away.

The concept of the game is great. I am still trying to finish it. I have downloaded a patch, but still lose my inventory on the middle screens. This is frustrating. Hopefully Dreamcatchers will be able to help me and I can finish it. Knowing that you have a time limit gives the game a different twist from others. I am looking forward to beating the time if I can proceed past the glich.

Figuring out the puzzles in Safecracker (or rather, codes) is a pretty challenging thing to do. Puzzle games have been around for years, and I think this is probably one of the better ones. Don't be alarmed by my 3-star rating; the game is okay. I just can't play a puzzle game for longer than an hour without having to take a break. They can really wear you down.

I can't believe that anyone wouldn't enjoy this game! I got it for Christmas and frankly, every other gift took a back seat for a couple of days while we finished this game. (yeah, we did have to do normal stuff like eating and sleeping, in between times) Everyone got involved in trying to solve the puzzles and it was thoroughly entertaining. I'd buy more Safecracker games if the company is nice enough to keep creating them. Thanks for a really fun Christmas!

Lots of logical puzzles with a satisfying ending

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It took me about 24 game playing hours to complete it and it is one you can actually complete yourself. Everything makes sense and the clues are there if you keep looking. Definitely a fun one to play. It feels a bit dated compared to current game standards - you can't explore everything, you can only click forward to predetermined spots etc..., but the experience is still worth having.

Not a bad little game

Good little point-and-click puzzle game. You make your way through several rooms of a mansion opening safes. The slider puzzle in the main lobby can be buggy (if you walk away from it and then go back and try again, the pieces move to a time delay of 2-3 seconds).
Mine runs on Windows XP just fine, otherwise.
